It did not smell like chemicals. It is a small local salon and they do quality work. I highly recommend. Today I walked in as one lady was leaving. She had a facial done. When you arrive they will confirm the services and offer you a complimentary beverage. Go get your nails done. Next time I'll request a facial mask while I get a pedicure. Prices are affordable and competitive with other salons on the area.

The gentleman that was there was very apologetic and saying he was sorry and as I paid and was leaving, he gave me a gift card with no amount or anything on it. The gift card is only for $20 and here I am with another subpar set of nails again. Stay away from Rio nail bar.

Today's Experience!!…read more If I could give Rio Nails a negative 10 rating, I would. It's clear this business sees customers as numbers rather than valued guests. The level of rudeness and disregard we experienced was unacceptable. My child and I arrived at 3:45p. After entering my information and selecting nail colors, talking to another customer,we were seated at a station. An older gentleman kindly offered us something to drink, mind you, the only courteous moment of our visit! My pedicure station wasn't even prepared with water, and no one communicated with us about any delays. Admittedly, I was sidetracked with time by having my child with me. By 4:30 PM, after 45 minutes of waiting with no service and no explanation, I decided to leave. pdated.Another customer noticed our departure before any staff member did. Not a single employee acknowledged us as we walked out. I even went back in to scan the QR code for this review and still wasn't acknowledged or updated. We immediately went to a different salon and received exceptional service! All staff were attentive, respectful, and worth every dollar. That salon received a well-deserved tip(extra to block out Rio's), a direct blessing that Rio Nails missed due to their lack of professionalism. Never tolerate or pay to be ignored, dismissed, or treated as though your business doesn't matter. Choose establishments that value your time and presence. As the saying goes, Go where you are wanted! I found my new salon!!

The lighting in the salon was dark and difficult for me to see the horrible state of my nails while in their salon. He never cleaned my hands after dipping and I left the salon with horribly dirty fingers...There is just so much that went wrong with my second apointment with him that I will never go back. More than anything I am a 68 year old black disabled veteran. He continually and angrily kept trying to hold my fingers in a way that my neck injury (I have nine (9) disks in my neck and upper back fused as one unit with titanium) wouldn't allow...he got mad and stated that I messed up the dip...no he did a horrible job...was not hospitable or even asked if I was ok. I tried to explain, but he barely speaks and understands English...ALso I needed to explain to him about my left foot having had prior surgery was still very tender...I couldn't communicate that to him. The very next day I was in extreme pain because of his roughness. I need a nail technician that speaks and understands English so that I can clearly communicate to them that I am a diabetic with kidney disease. I want to be able to ask questions to insure that they are not using products harmful to my health or that they are doing something that is causing me pain.
