I have a mostly indoor dog and white carpets. Bad combination. However, I had a great experience with Ambassador who did a fantastic job making the carpets all white again! The stairs in particular were a mess and Albert took three passes over them to get them back into tip-top shape again. He even cleaned the front side of the stairs, (where the puppy liked to rub her head). The results were absolutely much better than I had dared to hope! The service was also terrific. Albert called me the day before to confirm the appointment and called again when he was on his way. He charged me exactly what he quoted for the stairs (it's a long flight of very wide stairs and I half expected him to indicate that it may be more than what we discussed over the phone). I've used Ambassador Services many times over the years. Recently I've used them for marble damage in bathroom vanities and showers. Hands down Albert Ong is a PRO. He's been in business for many years and has seen it all. When it comes to natural stone Albert gets damage looking like new. He takes his time to explain the process and is up front on pricing. There is no other company I'd rather use to repair natural stone. Ambassador also does an awesome job on carpet and rug. His techniques in removing deep down stains and years of ground in dirt work. Ambassador Services cleaned my carpets last year and I was very pleased with the outcome. We have light colored carpets and they came so very clean. He was even able to get some stains out that were left by some leaking terra cotta pots that we had on the carpet. After he cleaned the carpets with the truck mount steam cleaning system, he used a special machine with a terry towel attached. This not only absorbed extra water so the the carpets dried faster, it also took up additional dirt. I have never seen this done before and was impressed with the care he took to go the extra mile. I also understand that he is highly recommended for Natural Stone Cleaning and Sealing. Over the past several years, I have had consistently fair service and excellent work from Ambassador Services. They have cleaned our carpets, draperies, and upholstered furniture. Most recently Albert sealed the flagstones in the back yard. He checked back after several months and said the seal was not as good as he wanted. He returned this week and completely resealed every flagstone again, with a new and more expensive--to his company--sealant. All was done at completely no charge to me. I have white carpet and two kids. Scary combination! While we take our shoes off in the house, we still have trouble spots, and Albert always does a superior job cleaning my carpets. We have stairs too! Again, spotless. Albert is friendly, conscientious, and very hard-working. He is always on time and is great about calling to confirm appointments. His prices are reasonable, especially considering the rising cost of gas that he has to budget in as he travels all the way to San Jose to clean our carpets. After his most recent visit, Albert said that our nine year old white carpet is in great shape. That is because of him!! Used Ambassador Services for scotchguarding, cleaning grout, and sealing a bathroom floor. Here's a run down of my experience. Albert gives an estimate a variety of projects at our home. I call him back after he provides the estimates asking him a) to do 2 of the 5 items quoted and b) whether he would honor a coupon that I had received in the mail. He stated yes to both. I'm clear on the first item as I was planning to split the work as some of my furniture had not arrived. He shows up. First thing that he states is that he was under the impression that he was doing all of the items on the estimate. (Huh?) He then states that his minimum is really $500 (up from the $250 that he originally quoted me.) Shockingly, he states that he can't honor the coupon because of this "minimum." BTW, this minimum is not published on either his website or his coupon. Okay, not too concerned about the $100 off provided that the work is done well so long as he can fix the stains on my grout. I showed him the wall and was clear that we expected the grout to be substantially cleaned. At this stage, Albert says okay. He then proceeds to get setup completely. I leave and Albert then tells my wife (after I leave) that he might not be able to get all of the stains out. He then asks her whether she should proceed. Of course, having not been a part of the conversations, she says yes. I get back to find a wall that's only marginally better than what we had started with (and a stone floor that looks much worse). I pay Albert dispite being dissatisfied with the service. (This was really my error.) I call Albert back 1 week later and express dissatisfaction with the outcome and he he was not willing to do anything about it. Did not offer to come out again, did not offer to honor the coupon, and certainly did not offer "my money back" as claimed on his coupon. Albert's a nice, savvy guy and a good salesperson. That said, he's pretty unconcerned about the actual outcome from his work. The only reason that I'm not giving him 1 star is that he clearly was able to "cover" himself by making the disclaimer to my wife. If you're going to look past this review, my suggestions would be: 1 - Once you get an estimate, ask for clarity on his minimum. 2 - Ask him to clarify what his "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" means. In my case, it did not mean anything. 3 - Be 100% clear on the outcome that you are expecting and what happens if that outcome is not achieved. Make sure that you do this at the time of the estimate. 4 - Pay by credit card. All of the above fall under Contractor Management 101, but I probably was less proactive than I should have been given all of the rave reviews on Yelp! read more

This is THE place to call to have your carpets cleaned, for sure! (and stone, tile, drapes...anything!). A new room in our home had terrible water damage after the really bad rains in January. After weeks of repair, we called in Albert and Jonathan Ong and Ambassador Services to deal with the horrible damage to our carpet and padding. The carpet needed stretching, which Albert arranged for. Then he did a phenomenal job getting rid of the stain. It was a multi-step process, and he had to use all kinds of "magic" liquids and powders, but now you'd never know what happened. We bought the Groupon Coupon which states between Daly City and Mountain view. Half Moon Bay is definitely BETWEEN those two parameters -- and mileage wise, way closer to either start city than they are from each other. The man calling was rude, first of all. Then insisted that they didn't come to the coastal towns (exclude them from your service parameters, then). Groupon "reached out" to him for service - never had the consideration, or sense of business responsibility, to at least make the call to reconsider -- or at least apologize. Groupon is used to increase business recognition. Well, he got it from me. And as you can see, I have a big mouth. read more

We purchased a Groupon for carpet cleaning for three rooms. Although the carpets are clean, it was a fairly perfunctory job and Albert was extremely rude to my wife during the process. After he was done, he had the nerve to tell her to use them again because "they don't make any money on Groupons." Needless to say, we'll be going elsewhere next time. read more

We have been using Ambassador Services for a long time to clean our carpets and they do a great job even though the carpets are old, we have dogs, and we weren't thinking clearly when we put light carpet on our stairs. Recently they cleaned our carpets and they also cleaned and sealed the grout on our ceramic tile counter tops in the kitchen and pressure washed the hard surfaces in the yard, including the deck that was going to be refinished.
