I have used multiple lash technicians at this locations. One thing I can say is that they all have been very professional. The studio is very clean which makes you feel safe. Now with that being said Mayling is by far the best lash technician there. She is a Master Stylist which speaks for technique but she also possesses maniacal customer service. She talks to you while doing your lashes. It's very appropriate conversation so you are engage with the conversation and next thing you know she's all done and your looking amazing booking your next appointment. She doesn't just do your lashes she makes recommendations based off of her experience and she is fast! FYI- I received a compliment on my lashes yesterday and the funny part is I'm so for a fill this week. The young lady kept saying omg they look so natural, those are gorgeous. This is my honest review of this establishment. To start I'd like to say, I really really wanted to like this place. I'm not normally someone who leaves negative reviews... but from the very first time I walked into this business I had nothing but the most horrible service. From the lash techs, to the receptionist...just utter disappointment. The very first appointment I had at this salon, I walked in at 5 pm and walked out at 8:30 pm. The appointment was supposed to be for a hour. After about two and a half hours the tech working on me left the room and grabbed another tech who then rushed to finish my lashes. I could tell she rushed because one eye was noticeably fuller than the other. I didn't complain because my initial tech looked flustered. However I was never apologized to for the delay nor offered an explanation. When I got home I started to feel a burning in my right eye. I found out I was scratched by the tape used during the appointment. This took four days to heal. After the initial appointment I noticed my eyelashes were not filled in on the corners of my eyelids.. but I assumed it was due to her running over on time. After about three days I noticed I lost sooo many lashes (even after following their care guidelines) At my next fill appointment I was given a new tech. Again with no explanation at all. Cool. The fill I received didn't leave my lashes looking full at all. That's fine, I made another appointment. I came back in a week for a mini fill. By the time I got to my car after this appointment I lost 5 lashes...this was on top of again having a fill leave my lashes not even full looking. After two days I already noticed my lashes becoming very thin. I had an appointment for another fill (for my monthly credit since I signed up for the membership) for two weeks and when I came in I was told my lashes were too thin and she wouldn't give me the fill that they had already charged me for. When I asked to speak to a manager I was then told that they didn't have a manager on staff that day and to try again next week... basically I was scammed. They take your money and in return you get crummy lashes that maybe last three days before falling out almost completely...and the fills you get don't even give you a full look to begin with. Summary: All around horrible service. Lashes don't stay on for more than a few days. Fills aren't even enough to fill your whole eyelid (they never seem to fill the corners). Definitely don't sign up for the membership because once they have your money, you're screwed if anything goes wrong because they don't care.They won't do anything to help. Can't even reach a manager if something were to go wrong. I honestly feel they do crappy jobs on fills so you're forced to come back more often and spend more money. Once they have your money they don't give you what you paid for! Stay away ladies. These lashes are not cheap and there are much better places to go and get your money's worth!! I have gone to salons in Valpo where I could go three weeks before needing a fill. At amazing lash studio you're gunna need a fill once a week. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. UPDATING TO FURTHER CLARIFY MY EXPERIENCE: I've been going to amazing lash in several states for many years. This location is absolutely awful. The staff, in particular the manager at the front desk, is incredibly rude. I showed up for a second appointment (refill) Christmas week to be told my stylist wasn't there but I could come back later or another day - not ideal during a holiday week with a busy schedule. I was offered a whole $10 credit for the "inconvenience" and the option to see a more junior stylist If I waited another 45mins - I had booked a master stylist bc they generally are able to do great work, faster at a premium cost - which I was happy to pay bc of the schedule I was managing. A junior stylist meant waiting longer on top of waiting for them. things happen and that is understandable - the service and attitude however are NOT acceptable. I cancelled the appointment altogether purely based on the front desk. I'd like to also note that Amazing Lash called me the night before to ask if I could come at two other times for the stylist and "if not no worries, she could still see me at my scheduled time (12pm). I couldn't do the options they asked about and requested to keep my original appointment. The whole thing was very confusing, unorganized, and somehow I walked out with people giving me attitude and the option for a $10 credit while refusing to look at me. Additionally during my first and only used appointment, the stylist, while kind, was playing music from her phone that was very aggressive, profane, and not relaxing at allllll ... lashes didn't last very long (less than 2 weeks). I went in a couple days before I left on my vacation. The lash tech took 2.5 hours. It was a full set. I was later notified she shouldn't have taken that long considering she was an experienced tech. Anyway, I waited until I received the txt that I could wash my lashes. Used the foam o purchased from there. Not even a week later more than half of my lashes had fallen off. Before two weeks had passed I was back to my normal lashes. I called in while I was on vacation and complained. No one got back to me. Basically I wasted $100 my lashes didn't even last the entire trip. The point of getting them was to not have to use make up and mascara. I really wanted to like this place, it's near by and I finally saw an opportunity to take advantage and see what they had to offer! I walk in 15 mins earlier since the lady i had talked to on the phone last friday said please get there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork/etc. She said you are confirmed on thursday 10/26 at 1:30 so come around 1:15 pm. I tell the front desk lady my name she says she doesn't see me. She tries my phone number, nothing. I said I have the call log on my phone and it written down in my calender. She says I don't see you or have anything available. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. The lady at the front desk was not kind or accommodating or helpful. The manager on the phone who she seemed to talked to offered no help. I had booked a first time appointment as a model client because they were offering a promo for $25. I figured I will finally give this place a spot. She doesn't say sorry or anything. She says they don't offer model appointments anymore. No one notified me of my appointment being cancelled. I wasted a day taking off work. She said the worker doing the lashes should have reached out because she had my information, but the front desk lady over the phone took all my information so clearly they could have given me a call? Such a waste and inconvenience. This must be a scam. Don't go here! Unprofessional and rude. And not accommodating. Took a day off from work to go in and it ruined my day. She offered to book me a normal appointment or that they might take new models next week but its highly unlikely. I have been going to amazing lash studio for a while now! Everyone is super friendly, and the studio is VERY clean. Autumn is my stylist and she is AMAZING. One thing I would change would be the music that plays throughout the studio, the playlist is terrible. Listening to that for an hour+ sometimes is not fun, UNLESS you have an amazing stylist. Half my lashes fell out walking to my car after the appointment. I called and wanted a refund but they wouldn't refund. I came back a week later to get them removed and received a lash lift from another stylish who was great but while I was receiving my service another customer was screaming that her eyelids were glued together and it hurt and she couldn't open them and no one was helping her, just laughing at her. You would think they would be amazing since they're an established business but you're better off going to a self taught lash tech that would actually appreciate your money. Super disappointed by this AL location. I arrived to my fill appointment 1 minute before the scheduled time to be met with an extremely snotty front desk girl who wasn't wearing a mask. When I asked if others at this location were mandated to wear masks she said "yes" but when I said "so just not you?" She said "nope". That was just the beginning of an extremely unprofessional experience. Another worker was sitting on the floor behind the desk eating. I filled out another entire pile of release paperwork because apparently their "systems don't talk", and when I only initialed one box in the section that said to initial "one not both", the same desk girl was insistent that I initial both consenting to the patch test and waiving the patch test. In spite of printed instructions that said specifically NOT to initial both. I was finally called back to the stylist (by the way, the entire place was EMPTY", she said "we really don't have much time since you were late. At this point it was 12:30, and I had been there for 15 minutes including the idiotic paperwork. I ultimately left without my service, frankly I didn't trust the cleanliness of the stylist with her 3 inch acrylic nails and I wasn't going to trust my eyes to this extremely unprofessional group of morons. read more

Not impressed. First time ever getting my lashes done and for as much as they charge the fall out was insane. I sleep on my right side so to me I find it odd that all my lashes on my left fell off like crazy, starting just the day after. I signed up for the membership and when I returned to get them fixed I was charged for a full set when really the right side was just a fill. They didn't seem to be surprised at all with my fall out, so results like this must happen often for them. My drive is over an hour and a half to have them service my lashes so I find it disappointing they didn't do anything but take $10 off to compensate. I also don't get why after just 2 weeks my monthly membership was already due. So not only did I have to pay 99 dollars for a full set I had to pay 70 for my renewal. I wasn't too impressed with my first stylist for her being a master and as for the second lady that redid them for me, it seemed to be a burden for her to be friendly and wasn't very personable at all. Thankfully I have seemed to have better luck with my lashes this last time but sad part is I've done nothing differently. Do NOT waste your money or time on this place!! I set an appointment for the first time this week ahead of my vacation, and was very excited. Today the Chicagoland area was hit with a huge snowstorm that came fast and hard, due to this my babysitter canceled on me. I took a look at their website and I saw nothing about a no kids policy or not to bring anyone with you. Knowing my vacation was tomorrow I took the chance and traveled through the snow with my son for a trip that should have been 15 minutes but ended up being a whole hour. Upon arrival I was NOT greeted but instead stared at crazily because I was running and rushing in to get out the snow with my son in his car seat. Again no one asked if I needed help or was everything okay? Or even a hello... I ended up being the first to speak as they stared and I said I'm so sorry but my babysitter canceled on me is it okay if he just sits here while I get my lashes done? I was denied and told that my son can't come in, that rooms aren't big enough and there is a no kids policy which I've still yet to see anywhere. Mind you, it was a freaking blizzard and no one even in the place because of multiple cancellations so you would think through all it took to get me there that they would let him sit there. I been to other elite lash salons that have let me bring a child in. Furthermore their attitudes were completely off putting!! If they treat people this way, I would never want them touching and caring for my face. No thank you! Thankfully I went to another lash salon right after that I booked last minute who was warm, welcoming and let my son sit while getting them done. I am a plain Jane so naturally I wouldn't even look into getting lashes. My coworker recommended this place and I decided to try them out. My first experience didn't go as well. I had lashes coming out the next day. When I returned for my 2 week fill-in I was informed that I would have to reschedule due to the amount of lashes lost by this amazing stylist Mayling. I rescheduled for the next day and was very much pleased with the work that she did!! She was very professional and thorough! She made me very comfortable during the session. I was called to see if I could come in early, but not a specific time. I said I was 30 minutes away at least. My appointment was for 4pm, I arrived at 3:35pm. The receptionist gave me paperwork, eyewash cleanser, and told me to have a seat. The stylist came to waiting area and said, "unfortunately because you're late we will have to reschedule." Very disappointed with the service I received here today. I made an appointment for nine am and I arrived at 9:07am. When I walked in the two women at the front desk were checking in another woman. I started looking at the products set up while waiting to be checked in. During this time I heard Megan and Holly (receptionists) tell the other customer she was eight minutes late. Megan and Holly said that I should have arrived twenty minutes prior to my appointment and they would be unable to do my friend and I lashes. They didn't offer any help in rescheduling and said there were no times available for the day and it was too late for them to start our lashes. Mind you the other woman that was also eight minutes late got called to the back for her lashes and was not turned away. The only difference between the other woman and myself and my friend was the color of our skin. I felt like we definitely were treated differently since both of us arrived late but only the other woman who was Caucasian was still served. I truly felt so uncomfortable after this experience I walked out and cancelled the Groupon I ordered for this location. My rating is for the way the company handled a situation where having a eyelash lift failed. I bought the eyelash lift for my 17 year old granddaughter for her special homecoming dance. The stylist was wonderful and did a great job unfortunately my granddaughters lashes were straight in 4 days. She followed all the instruction given to her. I called the salon to ask if we can have them re-done and if there would be any compensation. I was told a manager would call me back, she never did. I spoke to an employee on the 3rd day I called and was told there was nothing they could do about it. No discount, no compensation unless she wanted extensions. She just wanted her lashes to be curled she has beautiful full lashes they just need lifting period. The receptionist was short with me and not helpful at all. I never spoke with the manager, she never called or tried to please us. We paid for a service that failed and they do not stand behind their work. I would not recommend this studio. read more
