Absolutely disappointing and unprofessional. When we asked some simple clarification questions he told us he could t work with us anymore, ran away and disappeared, with only a couple months before the wedding leaving us without a ring. The diamond we gave him to use when it came back was clearly substituted with another cheaper one, and our inquiries went unanswered. This is theft, and these folks are un trustworthy and not a professional operation or interested in any kind of respectful and honest customer service. Stay clear of them and work with someone more on the level.

This place is neither a workshop nor underground but I'm not going to hold that against it. What it…read moreis is an adorable little shop with some really cute jewelry that's actually affordable (3 pack of studs for $20, yes please), trinkets that would make great gifts (hello lighter with 8track design and penguin shaped cocktail mixer), and some great hats and ear muffs that are on sale right now, just to give some examples. They're also going to be adding some plant life to their selection. Staff was friendly but not too pushy, and even offered me a mimosa while I shopped! Genius business plan. I bought some really cute earrings and I feel like they were discounted because of that drink, that's how that works right? Great place to kill time while you're waiting 45 minutes for Little Spoon/The Cambridge to call your name.

Enjoyed that they had a variety of not just paper, journals and pens but also locally sourced items like coffee, books and stickers. The shop was pretty crowded during my visit, probably a dozen people or so in the small space. This made me happy to see so many people shopping local. Eventually, after browsing most of the store, I decided to get a coffee bean pendant for my Traveler's Notebook. I've seen this same charm online for upwards of $20. Omoi's was $18. Definitely a value there! The service was excellent. While ringing me up one of the ladies running the register grabbed the Traveler's Notebook stamp (which you have to ask for) and let me do my thing. The stamp for the Traveler's Notebook is pretty cool, it features a soft pretzel and Water Ice.

Omoi was close to where we were coming to / heading to, so I bookmarked it and we managed to stop by before they closed. It was actually really poppin when we got there, despite the fact that it was about 30 minutes to closing time. I wasn't really on the market for anything, just wanted to browse. I ended up picking up some cute notepads for a friend and some washi tape for myself. I love that they sold matchbooks here! I am an avid matchbook collector, despite not smoking a day in my life. Staff were super nice and very friendly.

I've been meaning to write a review for Hello World since fall semester. If you're in University…read moreCity, definitely stop into the store. I've had nothing but great experiences purchasing thank you gifts for colleagues and holiday gifts for hard-to-shop for relatives like my Mom, as well as a handbag, tote, and bath rug for myself. As another reviewer said, the prices are amazing -- from $20 for a pair of earrings to $500+ for a designer chair -- Hello World sells home goods, furniture, knick-knacks, and accessories. The store staff is friendly and helpful. Tucked away behind the Penn bookstore, this is a great addition to the shopping options on our campus, University City, and West Philadelphia.

The tea towel I liked very much had no label and no price tag on it, apparently was the last one in stock. The sales person refused to offer a small discount for its unkept, almost non-giftable appearance. He also did not even offer to gift wrap the many things I have purchased. When I asked for two boxes for the cups I bought, he said the boxes were only meant for clothing, even though I saw perfect sizes for the cups behind him. What kind of customer service is this? Just because the store items are cute, no curtesies are given to the customers? Ridiculous. I will not be shopping there anymore.
