Gaudeix - Prawn croquette, foie a la plancha, and pulpo. ALL absolutely delicious and well seasoned.

I had three tapas and a beer, when I was finished there were still quite a few empty tables and the reservations hadn't come in. Pricing was a little odd. The waiter pointed out that the items on the menu board with yellow dots were discounted before 7:30 PM so I stuck to those. And while he must have confused my English on one of the tapas, the other two weren't even the same price as what was on the board. Whatever, I won't argue. Maybe you will? I had the crystal bread (delicious toasted bread topped with a tomato sauce), shrimp and garlic cooked under a broiler in a lot of butter and a shrimp/leek risotto that was delicious. The three with the 40cl beer were €30. Close to full price and worth it for the flavor and well done food. Nice fancy restaurant and I enjoyed it.

I would rate it 3.5 stars. We had a combo of tapas and pinchos at Gaudeix - food was just OK. Some…read moretapas were better than others. The squid stuffed with prawns, scallops with the artichoke cream, and lobster stew was good. The croquettes were OK, not my the best in Palma though. I was not a fan of the foie gras. The service was OK too. I'm not sure if they were just having a really busy night, but I felt as if they weren't as attentive as other places we had been to in Palma. Overall, it was a good meal but not the highlight of my trip.

Valldemossa Port is just a short 20 min drive away, through a beautiful serpentine road. Worth the trip for lunch (there is nothing else there but food and beautiful views ). We ordered 5 dishes from the starters menu and it was lots of food for two people. Everything was good ( solid 4) with exceptional service (5 out of 5). The menu is in Spanish, English, German, Catalan. Spanish food, mostly seafood. Pricey as it is a monopoly / the only restraunt at the port. Watch out for extra charges added to your bill though. They charged me for 2 orders of bread&olives while I was only served one ( 2 pieces of bread and a small plate of olives) and when I asked for more bread, the server brought me one piece only but charged for the full set. I didn't say anything as it was Euro 1.50 difference but this whole experience left quite a bitter taste of been cheated. There is convenient parking at the end of the street ( drive past the restraunt, parking is is right in front of you then, next to the stored boats )
