They customize it to your preference of coverage, matte, dewy, spf, and minerals! You name it, they got it! Photo attached, taken on July 4th, the day after. My hair was fried from HOURS in bleach. The color was inconsistent. I ended up crying on the floor of Target to buy bleach just so I could have something that looked close to normal. I had to chop off 6 inches of hair and give myself bangs because of the sheer volume of fried hair. It is several months later and I have spent close to $2500 trying to fix my hair. The ends are still crispy and break off and my hair is barely chin length. Of note, he barely wore a mask the entire time. He also left bleach in my hair while he went into the hallway to argue with a girl who took a photo of him doing hair without a mask. He also commented on my husband who is of Chinese descent something to the effect of "I love Asian men! They are like f*cking a dolphin because they are so smooth!" He also kept sneaking in the back to take shots of vodka so pretty sure he wasn't sober most of the time. These are just the highlights of the experience. Suffice it to say, I will not be going back and I would not recommend this business to anyone I want to remain friends with.

Ada has worked with me through pregnancy and motherhood and has created a look that I can wear up in a ponytail on a busy day or blown out for an event. Ada always takes detailed notes on our appointments so she knows what she did the last time and what formula she used. I love that she is so technical. I went in for a summer refresh color (all over balayage), which I had discussed ahead of time with my stylist. Once she started to blow-dry my hair, I wasn't sure I was totally pleased with it. The stylist got so upset that she truly practically whisked me out of her chair, fully wet hair and all, curtly stating I could get a re-do scheduled at the front desk, which I did. I went in the next morning and told her "I have gotten used to the new color and I like it! Can we just fix the face framing pieces, please?" She said maybe six words to me in the three hours I was there and she took it upon herself to fully dye my hair an entirely new color. (Not at ALL what I asked for.) I truly don't know must of anything about hair coloring, so while I was confused about the length of time, I trusted her. Once again--I kid you not--I left the salon with a fully wet head of hair and a glob of coloring or toner or whatever on my forehead, a dirty look from my stylist and that was that. Again, not a word from the stylist. I left feeling shocked, embarrassed, and confused. I contacted the salon and never heard back. My stylist is talented, but how anyone can treat a regular customer like that blows my mind. Maybe consider another salon, especially if you, like me, aren't fluent in all things hair.

I'm sharing my personal experience from an appointment here that unfortunately resulted in…read moresignificant damage to my hair. I had previously gone to this salon about two years earlier for a wash treatment, and that experience was gentle and positive. Because of that, I felt comfortable returning. During this appointment, however, the experience was very different. The stylist poured baking soda directly onto my scalp and scrubbed my hair very aggressively. This was not something that had been done during my previous visit, and it was not explained or discussed with me beforehand. I told her I was uncomfortable with baking soda being poured directly onto my scalp, and she told me it was fine and continued. Afterward, I was placed under the dryer and no one checked on me. After about 20 minutes, my hair felt extremely dry and brittle. My locs were sticking outward and felt stiff, so I removed my head from under the dryer myself. When the stylist began crocheting my locs, the process was extremely tight and painful. I told her multiple times that it was hurting and asked her to loosen or stop, but the tight crocheting continued. After the appointment, I noticed significant breakage as well as visible demarcation in my locs. I had maintained my dreadlocks for about 4.5 years and took great care of them. They contributed to my income as well. Prior to this appointment my hair was soft, full, and healthy. After this service, the condition of my locs was so compromised that I ultimately had to remove them. Since then, I have not been able to successfully loc my hair again. Whether due to the damage, stress, or changes in my hair texture, the experience has had a lasting impact. I have photos documenting the condition of my hair afterward. Losing locs that I had grown and cared for over several years has been extremely upsetting and has deeply affected my confidence and sense of identity. I would not wish this experience on anyone. All statements in this review reflect my personal observations and experience during this appointment. This review reflects my personal experience so others can make informed decisions.
