One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

I was a bit nervous booking an appointment because I have had some terrible experiences last few months after my good friend/stylist had to stop to care for her 3 gorgeous babies. Yea, that's pretty bad though I must say I did a pretty fair job thanks to my husband who helped straighten out the back a little :) So I checked out the reviews, crossed my fingers and held my breath because I booked the appointment for a time right before my shift started. So I had NO time to "fix it" before heading in to work. Charlotte had just finished up with a client as I walked in. She was very friendly, told me to have a seat so she could sweep and then welcomed me over to her seat. She was very attentive and receptive to what I wanted done. She told me what she would be doing and I closed my eyes and and thought happy thoughts as she massaged my head during the hair washing and then again, during the start of the hair cutting. She knew I was a little apprehensive so she kept me talking and seemed very genuine when she asked me questions about my kids, and life etc. As she worked she asked me what I thought and made sure that's what I wanted. Very sweet girl. When she was done I asked her to add a little volume to the top of my flat head and without hesitation she did that and once she was all done, I LOVED it! Very happy with Charlotte who by the way added me to her Monday schedule when it's super difficult to find someone! Also very happy with Jenn who was very prompt in returning my email. She also worked with my schedule because I work nights and I need the latest appointment available so I'm sure she had to coordinate with Charlotte. I had to change one of my choices because I went out on a date with my husband and she was sweet telling me to have a great night with him. She could have just ignored that but she chose to add a little bit of personality to what could have been a very impersonal email. That says a lot to me. The drive to Round Rock from central Austin is WELL worth it to know my hair will always look exactly how I picture it by the end of my visit. She's also the only stylist I've found who has helped me achieve a style that doesn't require coming back to the salon every 4-6 weeks. I can usually go 3-4 months between appointments now and my hair fades and grows out beautifully. Missy is a phenomenal listener, she always asks questions to clarify what it is about an inspo picture that you like/don't like, clarifies things like warm tones vs. cool tones, and will work with you to find a style that meets the level of effort and upkeep you want to commit to.
