I've known Amanda Scott for years having met her when she was at another hair salon doing nails. Having my nails done is very important to me and I'll only go to her for my nail appointments! She has been doing amazing nails for me since 2010. I don't know how she does it but my fills last 2 weeks or longer and that has never happened when I had them done at other places. I also hardly ever break a nail and almost never have the "girl, you need your nails done" look. :-D Even though we have a lot of fun during my appointment, she is very professional and gets me in and out of there in an hour and a half max! I never feel like I am being rushed or bothering her like some places do. Nor do I get the condescending tone when I ask for what I want or how I want them - squared off and not too long. They need to look like I had my nails done but not too done. If you need a nail technician, make the drive to Round Rock to see Amanda. But call her first as she works by appointment only and she does book up! But you won't be sorry. She does GREAT nails! And tell her I sent you! read more

It took me forever after moving from west texas to find a hairdresser that could manage my very curly very thick hair. I had stopped into a salon in the university of Texas area of Austin after taking to a coworker that said that they were good with curly hair. They quoted me $300 for a single color highlight and haircut! I don't think so!! So I used yelp to find someone else and stumbled on Amanda and I am so happy that I did. She was awesome. Friendly and bubbly and able to make my hair look healthy and vibrant again!! And I love that she books online so you can make it for your schedule so much easier!!! Amanda gave me a pedicure earlier this week and a few things occurred: 1) for the first time since getting pedis for over 15yrs it didn't hurt! I'm super ticklish and my feet and toes hurt during a pedi (yes it's tough but I have endured for so long because the short term pain was worth the finished product). Amanda is not rough on your toenails and her massage and rough heel removal is perfect. Again no pain for me for first time. 2) she let me know that the other place where I had been getting pedis did not ruin my nail bed. I had discovered 4 months ago upon removal of polish that they had been destroying my nails. Thank god amanda was able to tell me the damage will continue to grow out. I'd recommend her to anyone. 1-on-1 attention is a nice change of pace. You feel like a valued client and not just a body to get $ from. My husband will be going to her for his pedicure soon.
