I said yes!

My experience at Amanda Ritchey Bridal Loft was nothing short of spectacular and it was all thanks to Erynn! She was so amazing and so knowledgable in her job. I actually would not have been able to find my dream dress if it wasn't for Erynn. She handpicked a dress that I would never think of wearing and it ended up being everything that I could've hoped for in a wedding dress! It was the perfect dress for me and I'm so glad that I trusted her expertise because she is really great in what she does! I highly recommend this place and I will be telling all my friends about it!

My fiancé and I originally planned to get married a few years from now, but in early April he was…read moreinformed that he'd next be stationed far overseas. When we discussed our next move, we decided to move our wedding up to this September- which gave us just under six months to prepare. Almost immediately I set up gown appointments. Love and Lace was our first stop, and we showed up right at the shop's open. Jo was our assistant: right away sat us down and said she'd do her best to help keep us (a) within budget, (b) completely informed, and (c) make the experience one we'd love. She reminded us that it was a bit of a time crunch- which we knew- but she was reassuring and told me it was completely possible to find and order my gown within our schedule. She was so helpful and professional while we searched through the gowns, listening and observing all the ones my group and I were considering to the point where she was able to collect quite a few for me to try on. We knew that on a lower budget, elegance and delicacy can be difficult to find- but every single dress we saw was beyond stunning. Regardless of the gown I tried, her professionalism and care was apparent with each- and she made all of us relax and laugh. The store's selection is wonderful, all kinds of dresses and fabrics and styles packed neatly on racks through a very well set up space. Within the first few gowns I'd found my wedding dress, completely within my budget and then some! Jo was amazing and let me have a few hours to decide, and just three hours after I'd tried my dress on I was back to purchase it. I was overjoyed! Just a few days later she gave me a call to let me know she'd put a rush order in and my dress should arrive by the second weekend of July- which would give us plenty of time to find a seamstress. She was so excited to tell me this over the phone, and it doubled my own enthusiasm! I couldn't wait to hear back. On family vacation in mid June just six weeks after ordering the gown, I got another phone call from Love and Lace: my dress had arrived over a month early! Jo let me know I could come pick up as soon as I was back, and I went in just a few days later. My dress fits perfectly, the only alterations I need are sewing in the straps- a wonderful surprise! Jo was possibly more excited than I am- she told me she's never seen a dress fit so properly right away- and I was so grateful for all of her help and encouragement. I completely recommend this bridal shop! 1000/10, it is such a warm and welcoming environment and the staff is absolutely fantastic.

The stylists are so helpful and I ended up getting the first dress I tried on. I am so glad my stylist put me in this dress while she looked for what I said was my dream dress (long sleeves, lace, and beading... YIKES it would have swallowed my small frame). I bought my dress, a belt, and my veil from Love & Lace and even during their move to their new larger location, they kept in contact with me and let me know when things should be arriving. While my dress was new, I loved that they have consignment dress! If you are in need of a wedding dress and do not want to spend an arm and a leg, I cannot recommend them enough!!! She never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed. Instead, she was patient, warm, honest, and somehow managed to ask exactly the right questions when I couldn't even explain what I was looking for. The funniest part is that I ended up choosing a dress I never would have picked myself. I only tried it on because my aunt said, "Your Grammy would have picked that one," and it ended up being the dress. Vanessa never tried to steer me toward what she wanted. She simply helped me discover what I loved, and that made all the difference. I also have to mention that I absolutely hate shopping. I joked that my favorite thing to shop for is sports bras, and she laughed right along with me, which immediately put me at ease. What I expected to be stressful ended up being one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences I've ever had. Thank you, Vanessa, for making such a special day even more memorable. When it wasn't precisely the way my daughter wanted it, they made sure it was in the additional fittings. No drama. I also bought a beautiful dress from Mary's for the wedding, and it was stunning. We didn't have a warm & fuzzy experience (it was not bad, though), but we got the dresses we wanted. Because the boutique was convenient to the wedding location, we were able to have the dress freshly pressed the night before. Oh, and my daughter brought me and sometimes a friend to the fittings. We were allowed to take photos and have fun without any judgment or restrictions.

The whole experience left the bride overwhelmed and disappointed. We originally booked for 10:00 AM, but the owner called the bride and asked her to come at 9 AM instead. When we arrived, the books had not been updated, so we were double booked and had to wait for a stylist to come in. Nothing from the bride's wish list was pulled, and none of her requested dresses were even in store. If they had reviewed her wish list ahead of time and been honest, we would not have come. Instead, they just kept pulling random dresses that were not her aesthetic or style. The process was painfully slow. Only four dresses were tried on in the first hour, with a 40-minute gap between the third and fourth. Eventually I had to start grabbing dresses myself and even helped her get in and out of a few, which is unheard of. Afterward the bride told me that her assistant, Alex, barely assisted and just put each dress over her head, which made everything more frustrating. It was obvious the bridal assistants felt overwhelmed, and it only added to the chaotic atmosphere. I even overheard another group ask if they should just come back tomorrow since it was so clear the staff were behind and overworked. While the attendants were kind, the owner was cold, never introduced herself, and only came in to set rules and restrictions rather than making the bride comfortable. On top of that, do not think about bringing a coffee, it will be confiscated. There were also ring cameras all over the boutique, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and invasive. The shop advertises pages of dresses online that they do not even carry in store, which feels misleading. The whole appointment was chaotic, and the bride left feeling overwhelmed and disappointed. Having just gone through wedding dress shopping last year for my own wedding and having an extremely different, positive experience made this appointment even more disappointing. I wish we had read the reviews for this shop before booking. After the fact, it is clear our experience was almost identical to what other brides have described. Tips if you are thinking about booking here: * Call ahead and confirm that the dresses you see online are actually available in store. * Double and triple check that you are not double booked and that they have enough staff to give you their full attention. * If you do go, make sure Mary is not your bridal attendant. * Honestly, the best tip is to just book somewhere else. There are so many better bridal salons that provide a supportive and special experience, and you do not want this to be your memory of dress shopping.

We were helped by Allie who was so patient with us from beginning to end. They have a cute dressing room for the bride to try on dresses. Allie helped my friend try on 5-6 dresses that we initially picked out, and she then brought 2-3 more to try based on the feedback we were providing throughout the fitting. After my friend picked her dress, we also asked about veils to which Allie picked a few out. She even went as far as bringing one from the back that had just been brought in. That newer veil ended up being the one my friend went home with. We were given complimentary champagne to toast to finding my friend's dress & veil. Overall, Allie and Cherie's Bridal made the process of finding a dress seamless. My friend (and I) had such a great experience overall. Local tailors were also provided to help with any alterations. Cherie's is accessible right off the parking lot (there's a direct entrance), and can also be reached through the inside of the Savage Mill building if you come in from the Big Lot.

I arrived a few minutes early. It's not a huge space but they made a pretty spacious dressing room. There are a full racks lining the walls and a few in the middle. They seem really well organized by size for easier browsing. The space is clean and neat. There was another bride trying on dresses but Missy said hi and introduced herself and asked for a moment as another bride finished up her appointment so I took a seat. The experience was great. I came by myself since my friends could not clear their schedules in time given my quick scheduling. The place is called Fairytale and it did feel like Missy could be a fairy godmother. She had referenced the images I shared for inspo and had found a couple dresses like them for me to try. She also noticed I wasn't feeling quite comfortable in how I looked and was so encouraging. She suggested a couple of other dresses that I ended up liking more than I expected. She was showing how certain other dresses or details can help me feel like the right things are accentuated. She also gave some really helpful tips including dress timeline, tailoring, and candid yet kind thoughts. I did not catch the name of the other staff who was helping her but she was also awesome. They both helped me in and out of dresses. The other person also helped take pictures for me to reference later and even came running out with my phone when I left without it and only realized when I got in my car. They were both great. I highly recommend this place. There were some really pretty dresses for nice prices. A bit lighter for my size range but still options. The experience was also quite nice. As a bride, you often have a lot on your mind and I felt so supported throughout this visit while feeling like they had my best interest in mind. I'll be back!

She has been extremely accommodating, since my mom was in town for a short time and wanted to be with me when "I said yes to the dress." A few things to note: 1) Unlike many other places, Annapolis Formal and Tuxedo usually does not alter the dresses until a month or two before the wedding. Their reasoning is that most brides gain or lose weight before their wedding, so the closer to the wedding, the better. I absolutely love that I don't have to do 8 different fittings (or some other outrageous number). It just makes solid good sense. 2) Alterations are $380--I'm not sure how that price relates to other places. 3) Appointments only. 4) Flavia and her family members have owned the company for the past 27ish years.
