We worked with Cruz Entertainment for a recent wedding in Truckee and unfortunately encountered…read moreseveral challenges both during the planning process and on the day of the event. Communication in the lead-up to the event was inconsistent, with key logistical details needing to be repeated or clarified multiple times. Despite providing a detailed timeline and music preferences well in advance, there were noticeable gaps in preparation and follow-through. Of particular concern was the DJ's dismissive and unprofessional tone in communications with the bride, which caused significant distress and nearly led us to replace him before the event. We reached out to address these concerns in advance, but never received a direct response. On the day of the event, the DJ team arrived over an hour late without notifying the planning team, which caused unnecessary stress and impacted the schedule. Only one lapel mic was brought despite prior communication about the need for two. The AV assistant onsite also shared that he had not been fully briefed on the equipment or the event timeline. Throughout the evening, there was continued confusion regarding the order of formalities and other details that had already been addressed. In addition, we were informed shortly before the event that an extra team member would be present, but it was not made clear that this person was a content creator rather than part of the AV support team. The content creator was disruptive for the couple's hired photographer and videographer, consistently getting in the way. This individual also took a wildly unprofessional and vulgar photo at the photobooth. Photo included in this review. We reached out following the wedding to address these concerns but again, unfortunately received no response. As a wedding planner with over a decade of experience, I believe in giving honest, constructive feedback to help others make informed vendor choices. I hope this review is received in that spirit.

I went every 2 or so weeks for a training session so I knew how to properly work her in the saddle and on the ground and correct her when she got out of line for when I got her home. she went from a rude, hard headed toddler, to a rideable, knows her manners, still hard headed at times but now goes out on trail by herself! the goal was to have a horse I could ride out on trails and work in an arena when I wanted. She was going to do a pregnancy photo shoot followed by infant pictures after the baby arrived. Lori cancelled the first appointment because of a broken wrist, but when my daughter emailed her for a makeup date, Lori told her that her calendar had "filled up" and she would not be able to do the pictures and recommended another photographer. This is extremely unprofessional of any business person trying to establish themselves as a photographer. I emailed Lori for an explanation and never heard from her. She left my daughter without a photographer which is totally inexcusable. There are many other reputable photographers in the area so I would stear clear of this one.
