Set aside the amazing food - their service and professionalism is top notch. They made the entire process seamless, from curating the menu to building out the timeline of events to even helping coordinate decorations. Instead of providing us a standard menu, they sat down with us and worked on the menu top to bottom based on "food memories" and our favorite flavors. It was so special to have an event loaded with delicious food that was either based on a memory (empanadas!) or one of our favorite dishes. It's been a week since our wedding and our friends & family are still raving about how good everything was. It goes without saying if I were to ever need chef services for any event big or small, 2gether would hands down be my first phone call. I cannot wait to work with them again!!

I love how organized she was with everything, and how easy that made it on my end--the cooking/baking instructions were simple and spot on, and the labels were perfect for peeling off to put on the table in front of the served food. The food was delectable all the way around! Such a wonderful variety, and what a treat to have such scrumptious food each day. I especially appreciated that Tara used homemade and local items, and that she took such care with the presentation. One thing I hadn't anticipated was how Tara's presence would enrich the retreat! She brought a lively and positive energy into the room every time she arrived; a breath of fresh air each time. It was so easy to have here there, and such a treat for me to not have to think one bit about what she were up to--I trusted her to do whatever she needed to do to get food on our table, and that was pure joy for me. Biggest hits: orrechiette with pumpkin ragout and portobellos; flatbread trio; gingerbread dessert; roasted pear and brie crostini; bisque with grilled heirloom, mozzarella and basil sandwiches; quiche and frittata; burritos; roasted Brussels sprouts. Yum, yum, yum! My retreat participants were thrilled. Here's some of what they said: - Loved the food! The meals were tasty, healthy, and displayed with artistic professionalism. - The food was amazing! Tara the chef is awesome and it was wonderful to come away for a time and have your meals taken care of. We had in our mix a variety of eaters, including gluten avoiders, vegetarians, and omnivores, and we all were full of food and of compliments. It was a dream to work with someone so creative and flexible for our wedding. A lot of caterers…read morewanted to know our budget first, but we knew what we wanted and had no idea what it would cost. Laura allowed us to tell her about our dream spread for our wedding and then she priced it out based on the things we really wanted. She was wonderful about making suggestions and adjustments and could even accommodate my vegan cousin who is also gluten free and deathly allergic to nuts and soy (yes, I know). We loved how mobile Laura was and that she was able to work at our site, but keep in mind that if you want her to work in more unusual locations that she will have to rent equipment to do her fine work with her staff. The process was incredibly creative and satisfying. She hosted a beautiful tasting in our own home for five (although I think only four are included). Laura's food was absolutely divine. We had our rehearsal dinner catered by her (as a drop-off): Pulled pork, cold bbq chicken, amaaaazing potato salad, corn pudding, cookie platter (you know-- exactly the kinds of foods you want to eat the night before you squeeze into your finery). Our wedding buffet included 5 delightful passed hors d'oeuvres, an epic charcuterie and cheese spread, a family style salad and bread course, and then a buffet of grilled bistro steaks and salmon, roasted vegetables and fresh summer salads. We were in heaven! Laura outsources wedding cakes, but she did make some amazing peach and apple hand pies as an alternative to wedding cake! Her bartender made a haymakers punch (switchel-- awesomely refreshing) and raspberry leaf iced tea and they were happy to serve the alcohol that we had purchased. We were incredibly happy with the wonderful service on the day of the wedding. The team she assembled to serve on the wedding day was incredibly friendly and professional. Five stars all around! *A quick suggestion to guests working with your caterer on a larger event is to dump e-mail contents/conversation tidbits into a Google Doc that you can share with Laura. There was a lot of back and forth on the phone and e-mail that got confusing at times. Do yourself a favor and keep it all in one sacred location! *Laura only took checks for our payments which was fine for us, but we would have appreciated being able to PayPal our payments as floating thousands of dollars in checks to the many vendors (none of whom took credit cards or PayPal) was rather nerve racking at times.
