He has worked on my property for a number of years, and I have always been very happy with the results. The most recent project was a "nightmare" as an ancient oak split and went down. ...bad location. ...dangerous. I've never seen anything like it. Logan did an amazing job of cutting and burning the brush and neatly cutting and stacking the large limbs and sections of the trunk. I would not ever consider hiring anyone else to do tree work. Additionally, Logan, his assistant, and his scheduler are professional and polite. The call back and arrive on time. Good people!

They did an incredible job removing several huge fire hazardous trees from our property. They were both very professional and personable. Logan is also very reasonably priced compared to the other estimates I received. They cleaned everything up and the property simply looks spectacular. One of the trees that we (unfortunately) had to remove was 3 feet in diameter and at least 190 feet tall. Two other trees were touching the roof of our house and covered with ivy almost to the tops. I highly recommend Loggin' Logan and I will definitely be hiring them again in the future. Thank you so much for all your help, Login and Carson!!!

I "enjoyed" our trees as they grew higher and higher and their leaf canopy provided shade for our…read morehouse and decks as well as home for many species of birds that serenaded us mornings and evenings. They grew to a height of over 40 feet and were starting to decay. I should have dealt with this earlier. I called several tree services and three came, gave me a bid only to walk off the job because the trees were rotting and more than half had hollow trunks. Tony from Acampo showed up, gave me a very competitive bid, showed up to do the work on time and then walked off the job due to trees being too dangerous. But unlike the other companies, he offered me the only other option; to hire a crane, do traffic control (because the only place the crane could work from would be on the busy road next to our house). Of course it was a lot more expensive but what choice did I have? So I accepted and after taking care of the permit for traffic control, reserving the crane and getting the crew together, Tony stated work on time, 30 days later. I was there when the crew showed up; I told my wife that these guys were obviously confident, professional and they all knew their jobs and acted like a well-oiled machine. Everything went according to plan. They started at 6:30 am and soon the crane was lifting sections of trees that were as big as a bus and weighed over a ton carefully over my other trees and fence to the road surface where some of the crew cut it into sections that were fed into the chipper. 4 hours later the clean up was underway. It was a dangerous project. Tony complied quickly when I asked that me and my property be named as an additional insureds on the Acampo Insurance policy and when I asked for confirmation that the crane operator was insured and that all of the crew were covered by worker's compensation insurance. When it was over, I breathed a sigh of relief. The job was handled professionally, no one was hurt and my property was not damaged. Tony had warned me that due the deterioration of the trees, several things could go wrong but his crew was on its toes the whole time and everything was handled well. I have already asked Tony to give me a bid to reduce several other trees on the lot before they reach the same level of deterioration. From the beginning he treated me fairly and I am confident that he will do so again. Based on my experience, I am heartily recommending Acampo to anyone who needs expert tree service regardless of how big or small the job is. Nelson Barry San Francisco June 21, 2023

In January 2023 we had 3 large trees go down in all the storms. We had Acampo out and they quoted…read moreus over $100,000 to remove 3 trees. That's not a typo. Over $100,000. We got quotes from a few other companies and ended up getting all the trees removed for around $20,000 (still a ton of money). I'm well aware of the reality of 'surge pricing' but this is just inexcusable, and it makes me question the ethics of the company. Please beware of price gouging, especially during/after storms, and get several bids.

The whole project is $2200, after the first day, when he did 1/3 of the job he asked me to pay him $1600 because he had cash flow problem. I gave him $1000 so that he could come back to finish the rest. The second visit, he still did not finish the whole job but he was begging us again for more cash and my husband and I made the mistake of being too kind: we paid him up to $1600. He never came back to finish grinding the rest of stumps. He probably felt the rest of $600 wasn't enough to cover his another trip to finish the stump grinding. At the beginning he was taking our calls, saying November was too busy for him, and pushed his return to December, and then January. Then he never answers or returns out call anymore. I should have known better, if he was really four generations of business and really busy with all sorts of project, why would he have any cash flow problem of $1000? I don't really want to put in a lot of my time into this matter because the mistake was on our side too: we were too naive and fell for his crying for cash because his workers were sick and all kinds of other personal reasons. Stupid on our side, but hopefully you don't make the same mistake. We would also appreciate tips to resolve this issue.

Gary came out for an estimate then a couple days later came back with his crew. They did exactly what I wanted, were fast and efficient and did a great job of cleaning up before they left. I'd done business in the past with Gary's father and was always happy with the results, it seems clear to me that this generation of TLC is upholding the family name.
