About 6 months ago I had Doc refret my 2004 Strat Deluxe with stainless steel frets and his work and care was immaculate. Any guitar player knows getting new frets is akin to heart surgery and rather than risk a botch job I used to drive my guitar down to a tech in Calgary who I trusted. Doc has replaced that tech for me. The other day I had him install a new tusque nut and replace the SI pot on my Strat. I needed it for the weekend and he did all the work that day - wonderful! Staff at the store is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

If you're a member or a teacher and are on their mailing list you'll be made aware of when these take place. Not only does Gordon Price sell music, but also great teaching aids and musical novelty items, which is great for anyone musical in your life. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about music - go figure - and are always there to lend a hand. I've called ahead and asked for books to be held for me which they've done without hesitation. That alone makes me return on a regular basis for my teaching materials.

They have a selection of pianos featuring Kawai including some baby grands and uprights. They have a small selection of guitars and bass guitars. They have accessories for pretty much any instrument you can think of. They had a couple drum kits on display. They even had some bongos and African drums. This shop is a lot bigger than their old location on Stony Plain Road several years ago. They offer lessons and also have a school band loan program.

Not only was the store able to offer delivery for free, but the store manager offered to deliver it himself on the same day of the order. I received it, it had never even been opened to view the battery chamber- as the screw to the battery chamber was bent all to hell, unusable- more surprises awaited! The posts of two of the knobs were also bent out of shape and the selectors pointed to one thing but did another, which, if anyone had tested it would immediately notice, as I did, that is was damaged in many ways. Then I am told I have 30 days to return it, no extra store credit offered, or maybe they could extend that return window a smidge because I'm 200 Km away... I have dropped over 3 grand at L and M over the years (30 years) and that's the last cent of mine they will see. 10/10 for sleaze.

He was the perfect amount of helpful without pressuring me. They also have electric guitars, keyboards, and all sorts of recording equipment. I have had such mediocre experiences with the chain music stores lately, I'm glad this local business is still around. I did some quick googling, and the prices are very competitive with the bigger stores too. All in all, a very positive and informative visit. I think I've found the guitar I want! We bought an antique Adolf Minnig violin made in Switzerland (1945) from Bella Music on April 4,…read more2015. My son made this choice after Jim Doucet set out about 8 violins for him to try. He was very patient and made sure he knew our price range before we began the violin selection process. Jim never tries to sell you anything you don't need. My son is in his 5th year of Suzuki Violin and didn't need the $400 bow Jim let him use as he tried out the violins. We got a carbon fibre bow instead. We also left our antique French 3/4 violin with him to glue together - there was a gap. Luckily, there wasn't any other major work to be done on it. Jim said this French violin was setup very well and the pegs were still good. Again, he doesn't try to sell you stuff you don't need. He also explained to us what he was looking for as he inspected the antique French violin. I've recommended Bella Music to the other parents in Saskatoon Suzuki Strings
