DISAPPOINTED BY THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND CUSTOMER CARE!…read more I hired Impact Plumbing & Heating Ltd. to install a new hot water tank. During the initial assessment, Mike spent a good amount of time discussing options with us, and their pricing seemed fair and good value for the service. While the installation appeared to meet code requirements, immediately after the work completion we noticed that the "relief valve discharge pipe" was positioned directly above a drywall surface--creating an obvious risk should any discharge occur (picture attached). Despite my repeated and reasonable requests for clarification on liability and suggestions to reposition or extend the pipe to mitigate potential damage, I received dismissive replies. The company refused to adjust the work without charging additional fees. Even after I raised concerns about the risk of future property damage, they stated the matter was "closed" and asked me not to contact them again. I had hoped for a cooperative and safety-conscious resolution. Unfortunately, Impact Plumbing did not take ownership of the concern or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution other clients to be very clear up front and not assume post-installation support will be available. They got back to me and said they would have a plumber out to assess it on Monday. He showed up on Monday and confirmed that the tank needed replacement and he would report back to Head Office in Vancouver. Couldn't confirm when they could get back to do the job! On Tuesday I called them and they said they couldn't get approval for replacement until the following Monday!!!! That would be 10 days without hot water!! I paid for their service call and contacted Mike from Impact Plumbing and Heating. He got me to take a picture of the tank and the label and send it to him! He called back and said his guy (Max) would pick the tank up around noon and head over! He arrived at 1:15 pm and by 2:30 was finished!! One call was all it took!! I would definitely recommend Impact Plumbing for any plumbing, heating or gas job!!!

I wish I had checked these reviews before contracting Drain Pro to replace our water main. That…read morewater line was maybe 75 years old, so we weren't surprised when it started leaking. I shortlisted three companies from seven, then chose Drain Pro because their boss Ian gave more details about city regulations than the other estimators. Bad idea. Drain Pro disappointed us in three ways. First, they didn't try to use the old shutoff and instead drilled through the foundation because it was simpler for them. Second, on the inside they cut through the drywall in two places for the new pipes, but just left it like that instead of patching. And third, they made almost no effort to level and replace just three feet of our walkway's interlocking bricks, simply leaving it as a tripping hazard. Considering that we paid them over $5,300, it's surprising that Drain Pro blew their reputation on trivial tasks like small drywall patches and walkway replacement.

When I called them about the burst pipe, the fellow on the phone was extremely rude and aggressive toward me. Making statements like "what do you want me to do about it" When I spoke to the manager about how the employee's communication was inappropriate, the manger/boss also had an aggressive and belittling response. This business is not woman-friendly (similar to LIse's experience listed in Yelp). These people need to take some communication training and/or grow up Would never use this business again.
