After getting there and getting into a room which was nice and clean, I was ready for my massage but she wasn't quite ready for me. The massage started about five minutes late which is no big deal because most places will make that up at the end by going over the amount of time they started late. Soon after she started with the massage her phone rang in the lobby. She answered it and talked about 4 or 5 minutes to a potential client. She came back in and started to massage again then she received a text. She left to answer that. She returned to finish the foot she started and moved over to the other foot. As I was telling her about some issues with this foot and where it was really painful, she got another call. I looked at my watch and noticed she was gone five minutes with this call. When she came back I informed her again about the problem area which she glossed over and went through her routine of just a basic massage to fill time. At the end of the one hour she promptly said that it's been one massage done. I did give her a small $5 tip in spite of the fact that I only received about 40 to 45 minutes of an hour massage and she didn't address the issues I was hoping to get looked at. I will not return.

Headspaced then told me their website had incorrectly stated that they accept single‑use SpaFinder cards. Once they acknowledged the error, I asked if they could apply the gift card and refund my payment. They refused. I ended up spending $200 for what was essentially a hair wash, and the entire situation felt like a frustrating waste of time and money. My friend and I recently visited Chattanooga. We were making plans last minute, so I searched for…read moreevents in the area on Facebook. There I found an event called "Inner Peace Sound Bath". My friend and I were both very intrigued and thought it would be something special to do, so we booked our tickets (through Eventbrite) the day before. Purple Sky is in the Southside area of Chattanooga, which we found to be really cool. There is parking behind the building. We entered to find a space set up for the bath. The class was full, but I don't think it was more than 12 people, so it was still intimate. We each had a mat on the floor to lie on, along with bolsters, eye pillows/weights, etc. Robin got us in the zone, then a friend from Nashville played some music/sounds before Robin took over. I truly loved this experience. It was 60 minutes, and I felt like I just mentally escaped for the entire time (aside from the room being just a degree or two too cold, so a couple times that got me). I was tempted to look up to witness the bowls and instruments Robin was playing, because it seemed out of this world, but I never did. This may not be what most travelers do, but I am so glad we found Purple Sky and the sound bath. It was so special, and I would absolutely go to a class or bath here if visiting Chattanooga again!
