This fishing trip was a long time coming! I've been asking my husband to take me deep sea fishing…read moresince we moved here three years ago. He previously took our daughters out on this boat in 2015 so he knew this was the perfect fit for my first fishing trip. He checked the weather and called and made our reservation on Wednesday for Friday. We arrived at 7:45 a.m. for our 8am departure. Check in was easy. The cost of the trip is $85 and that includes everything (including your license and them cleaning and bagging your fish for you). If you aren't into fishing but want a day on the ocean there is also a Rider rate. My best advice is take non drowsy Dramamine before (1/2 hour before) the boat leaves. (we also take another 2 half way through after lunch). I've never seen so many grown men tossing their cookies at one time. There is no shame in Dramamine but I would think it was embarrassing for these men to be hanging over the side of the boat puking while I reeled in all the fish :)! It was so bad at one point the captain had to come over the intercom to ask the guys to stop getting sick in the women's bathroom. lol Also, pack your own lunch and each person can also bring 1 six pack of beer. We made salads the night before and just threw those in our cooler with lots of bottled water. I honestly didn't want to drink as we were having so much fun fishing. Okay on to fishing and the experience. We rode for about an hour and made our first stop we called the honey hole b/c everyone was catching and fast. It was awesome. After a while we headed to a few other spots farther out and a couple of those we all caught something. It was obvious they paid attention immediately at each stop. If within a few minutes people weren't catching they would move on. I appreciated that b/c we didn't have a lull in the action. Our final stop was farther out off shore and we had a chance to catch some really huge fish. We stayed here for a while and saw a ton of action. My husband reeled in a huge bluefish at this spot and it was a blast to watch. The best part of this trip other than the fishing was the crew. They were absolutely awesome. They set up all our poles, bait and were there immediately after we caught each fish to take it off the hook and let us know if we could keep it. They then took the keepers to a designated box for us. These guys worked their butts off all day long. Tip the heck out of these guys if you go they earn every dollar. Speaking of tips the norm is 20%. We gave $40 between the two of us. Around 2pm we headed back as the ride back to the dock was 2 hours. We arrived at 4pm, got off the boat and they handed out our fish then you walk over to the cleaning stations and the crew cleans and bags up your fish from the day. There is a restaurant right there next to where you dock the boat. After they cleaned our fish we put our cooler in the truck and bought a bucket of beer and some dinner. It was the perfect end to the perfect day. A few things I brought and a couple more I will bring next time: Sunscreen, cooler with lunch and lots of water, light jacket, visor or hat and sunglasses, small towel you can tie to the rail next to your fishing pole to wipe off your hands after you bait your hook, camera or camera phone, Dramamine, small bag (i wore a small bag on my back to store all our keys, wallet etc), cash for tipping the crew. And most of all a positive attitude and you will have a blast! I'm counting down until we can get out there and do it all over again! I told my husband we better do this at least twice a year going forward it was just awesome.

Great Trip as alway on Majesty! It was my son's Birthday and they put him on a big one!read more
