Turned a puppy who pulled on a lease, jumped all over everyone, and wouldn't come when called into one that listens and doesn't jump on toddlers in the house. Would definitely recommend and put a lot of trust into his program and results!

Because of his size, and how excited he could get, he was really hard to walk, and whenever he saw another dog, he would pull my arm off. My wife refused to walk him, and I rarely did. Over the years, we tried many things (classes, special collars, other dog trainers), but just gave up, figuring you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Hank is a 2 year old Brittany who we rescued as a 1-year old. He never learned basic obedience, and it became very frustrating to try to communicate what we wanted. Enter Drew. We enrolled both dogs in the In Home - Off Leash Training. Drew came pretty much every day to our house for about an hour or two while we were at work for "as long as it takes", which ended up being about 5 weeks. He was very flexible, and worked around our schedule. After the 5 week in home training, Drew showed us how to do everything, and for the next several weeks, our dogs learned how to trust us to train them. Now both dogs walk perfectly behind me without pulling on walks. If they see another dog, they just keep walking, and don't pull or jump or bark (this one still amazes... if you could have seen them before!). I even feel comfortable enough to take both dogs at the same time! At the park, they will come when called. They can sit and stay, and be patient. It's kind of incredible to have such well behaved dogs! Sure, the training is expensive, but it really works. In my opinion it's worth every penny, because we have happier dogs, and way less stress.

Danny and Ultra K-9 have changed my life and are still making it better and better. My almost 2…read moreyear old GSD was fear biting and excessively protective. Danny took a personal interest in my dog and really focused on helping him and me both. He really FOCUSED on MY DOG. He isn't at all concerned with trying to train too many pets at once or running as many dogs through his program as possible, and he never passed my dog's training over to another trainer. He's a compassionate trainer who understands the bonds as well as the behaviors to be addressed. What's even more amazing that all the wonderful things he did while my dog was in board and train with him is the amount of active support afterwards. He's made so many trips already to make sure that *I* am taught what to do and how to do it... and has made more plans as well. Danny is determined that Ramses and I are going to have a good life with clear boundaries and ingrained positive behaviors. He explains the concepts behind the techniques so that I can understand them. Also, the level of care that my boy got while with Danny and Erin was exceptional! Not once did I have the first fear that my baby wasn't being well treated.... which shows in how affectionate my dog is with them! I really can't say enough positive things at this point. Like I said, my life has changed, is changing, and he may very well have saved my dog's life. I am happy and comfortable with the balanced training approach. Not only that, but I feel that I've made a lifelong friend in the process. If you know anyone who has a difficult dog - or just a dog that needs some training - DEFINITELY call Danny Spooner at Ultra K-9.

I took my dog (and subsequent foster dogs) there over the course of the four years I lived in Memphis. My dog, Tikva, has some pretty intense stranger danger but immediately loved the owner Kathy and her daughter Lana. We also loved Emma and Lillian, and the rest of the staff. They always put her needs first and never pushed her out of her comfort zone. I always got amazing personalized communication (and cute pics) from them. I really appreciate how they offer solo daycare/boarding to accommodate her issues. The extended hours are also a big plus! My dog LOVED going to River Dog Inn. I wish I could've taken them with me when I moved! We miss you!!

They were able to offer daily reports on our pup and she had a great experience when she boarded there, as well. Maggie is high energy and honestly difficult at times, but they handled her so well! They all knew her by name quickly. I could give story after story of how helpful they were, but I will just select a few. 1. Our dog had some issues going to the bathroom due to her long hair one day and needing groomed. Long story short, the owner gave her a sanitary trim without being asked! 2. I had a few last minute scenarios where Maggie needed boarded at the 11th hour, and they were always caring and happy to accommodate. 3. They shared which toys Maggie liked so we could purchase them. 4. They cared for Maggie like family! I cried when we said our goodbyes!! They also took interest in us, which was so kind! If you are in Memphis and need a doggie daycare-look no further. Seriously, we had the very best experience and are so sad to be moving to another state because we no longer get to be patrons of this establishment! We will miss River Dog Inn and cannot praise them enough!!!

She trained here as a puppy and goes to daycare (or "school") a few times a week. I've boarded her here a couple times, too. I tried one of the newer places a couple times to see if my girl would like the pool or bigger yard...nope. She wants to come here and see Meredith and Kaley and all her doggo friends she's known since she was a pup. What a relief to have somewhere reliable, with people who care about you and your dog.

My new puppy, Shiner, was not interested in being the ideal dog. She was full of energy and had difficulty in paying attention. I tried everything I could possibly think of to help motivate her into a functioning member of my household. I spent 10 minutes on the phone with Meridith Caver of The Polished Pooch and knew she would be able to help. Meridith Caver is amazing. After the first session, Shiner was able to sit. Meridith is great at explaining what Shiner worked on during the day and what we should do at home to help further her training. We have learned how to make Shiner a part of the family, not the master of the house. We still have work to do, and we know Meridith will be there to help us alone the way. Shiner is a different dog since she started puppy school with Meridith. In the mornings when Shiner has puppy school/day camp, she is excited and knows where she is going. When she sees Meridith and Debra, she gets so excited to go and play. I feel very comfortable allowing my Shiner to go to puppy school/day camp w/ The Polished Pooch. The staff cares about your baby, just like you do!

He started to do what she asked of him, like magic, and training me and my girls of what she's been working w/ him on. He went through training every day plus daycare for one month. He graduated and remained in daycare 'till present, every day. I even boarded him for a week while I was out of town. He did great. Becky and the staff take good care of him and when he comes back from daycare, daily, he is TIRED, from a full day of playing w/ the other pups. I'll never forget when he stepped in poop and Becky texts me to let me know that she is going to give him a bath (full bath)!!! He smelled so so good after. My husky is a high energy puppy and I like it very much that he takes all his energy out at the daycare with playing and being outside and when he comes home he just wants to eat, go for a walk and go to bed. Bam!!

Disclaimer: Long review on Rebecca, The Dog Whisperer…read more I cannot recommend Rebecca at Paw Paw's Pets enough! After 10 exhausting months of battling with my dog, Theo--who treated his kennel like a personal torture chamber and barked like he was auditioning for a siren competition--I was completely worn out. We're talking nonstop, ear-piercing, dramatic barking for hours. I'm pretty sure the neighbors considered moving. Then we met Rebecca. Within ONE WEEK of obedience training, Theo transformed. He now goes into his kennel willingly--yes, willingly--and actually sleeps in it like a peaceful little angel. I still catch myself staring in disbelief. I spent nearly a year trying every trick in the book, and Rebecca came in and solved it like she had a cheat code for dog behavior. Her training style is calm, clear, and somehow makes you feel like you can actually do this. She understands dogs in a way that's almost magical. Theo loves her, and honestly, so do I. If your pup is testing your sanity and your sleep schedule, stop what you're doing and call Rebecca. She is the real deal, and Paw Paw's Pets has been a total game-changer for us!
