I have been using them for several years, no problems until today. I took my cat in on 4/27 to get the needed vac before they groomed him. I asked for feline leukemia specifically. At this point, the staff at Cloverleaf feels like family. They have been so good to my little Roscoe and Stax, and to me as well. One day, little Roscoe lost the use of his hind legs and I was so sad for him. They took him in right away, diagnosed the problem and healed him within 34 hours. My dog had testing done that I had not approved of. When I specifically told the girl that answers the phone Dan"*"* that I only wanted my dog to have an x-ray. Was told my dog would remain there until I paid the total amount due. 599.99. Forgot to put my dog in its carrier when I specifically stated the dog was a runner. Forgot to put the medication in the crate with the dog. Waited 2 weeks to hear from the doctor. I've never been so disappointed in my entire life. Never mind ripped off. We took our dog in Monday Morning very sick, worried that she may have gotten into some poison that the neighbors had been putting on their fence to kill the squirrels, much to our protest. Our 8 year old Chocolate Cocker Spaniel was listless and drooling heavily, so we took her to the very first vet's office that we came across. They wanted us to wait a few minutes so they could have a staff meeting. After having to convince them that our dog was in distress, they half heatedly took her back for blood tests. While the results came back with only a few indicators for poison and just as many indicators for gall bladder problems (which we did not know at the time) they began giving her fluids and treating her for poison. They refused to do an ultrasound after many requests by my wife - who is a PhD in Biochemistry, and an Endocrinologist - but they refused, even after we explained that she was insured, and that cost was not a consideration. Stressed and tired, and still not aware of the results of the blood test, they kept her all day and had her transfer to the ER on Summer. There, the Vet said he didn't think it was poison, and mentioned that it was likely liver cancer. My wife read the tests and immediately diagnosed her with Gall Bladder problems. The vet said that she needed an ultrasound but they did not have one. He did not mention that there was another Pet hospital nearby that did. We were with her during the night while they kept pumping her with fluid, and took her back to Cloverleaf as soon as they were open. We gave the recommendation from the ER vet that she needed an ultrasound, and the attending vet told us in a very condescending way "that I'm not going to just change my treatment based on what another Doctor tells me to do..." After insisting that she have an ultrasound or we were taking her somewhere else, they met with the lead Vet (who I guess needed to give her permission to use the ultrasound) and finally gave in to do one. Instead of handling her carefully, they rolled her over, and all the fluid they had pumped into her - which was residing in her abdomen caused her to drown within minutes. A necropsy performed by a friend who is an hour away proved my wife was right, and that her gall bladder was the size of a small tangerine. Had this vet done what my wife insisted she do 24 hours earlier, the Vet would likely have seen the enlarged gall bladder and perhaps given our baby a chance, instead of pumping her full of fluids adding to the pain she was likely already in. I don't know what was worse, the inept way they handled the situation, or the fact that they were worried about performing services they might not be able to collect on, as I overheard a couple of the employees discuss another pet worried about how they were going to pay. We will never take our animals to this clinic again, even if we have to drive 20 miles out of the way. read more

My black lab Boston loves cloverleaf. He had a severe case of dog OCD/ADD and had eaten socks and other fabric material items. He required multiple surgeries and the staff at Cloverleaf helped him through his owner surrender, into my foster care, and now as my adopted pet! He has gained 10 lbs (he's at a healthy weight after being under weight) and is happy and shows minimum signs of the OCD/ADD. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They answer all your questions, and if they don't know they'll ask the vet and will always get back to you. They properly walk you through everything you need to know. Their prices are good. I have been using Cloverleaf Animal Clinic for several years now and could not be happier with them. My older brother has many pets and has taken them here for years and years. They take great care of my dogs and cats and they really do care about them. They also take great care of me as the owner, and explain very well everything my pets need and answer all of my questions. I also use their boarding facilities regularly. Many times I have had to call for vet care or boarding at the last minute, and they have been able to care for my babies every time. This is really appreciated! Most importantly, I like a veterinary clinic I feel I can trust. And I completely trust Cloverleaf and all of the good people there. From the doctors to the assistants to the boarding helpers, they are all wonderful! read more

We had some bad experiences with one of the doctors here and didn't realize just how bad it was until we switched to another animal clinic which is amazing The office is pretty dirty and the doctor we saw was not thorough on trying to determine what exactly our dogs issue was. My wife took our cat it was attacked by a pit bull it happened while I was at work so she rushed the it to cloverleaf. The cat was in severe shape and instead of acting like a professional the doctor said the cat is viscous and trying to claw and bite him and he wasnt going to treat her well of course she acting like that she was attack by a dog my wife,was very emotional he eventually treated her but never again will I take another animal there a professional doctor would of known that animal especially cats act aggressive when they are in distress or injured. She ended up having broke,ribs,and a broke chest sturdurm so yeah she was in alot of pain lucky she survived. But him treating my wife the way he did was inexcusable. read more

My service was horrible, My puppy "Mocha" was hit by a car and had a broken leg. I took Mocha to the Animal Hospital and they put a splint and bandage on her broken leg and all was well until i went to Cloverleaf Animal Clinic. The first visit went well, Melissa Healy performed the check-up and Mocha did not need her bandage replaced at that time, and i understood that. Then i was advised to bring my dog back every two weeks to have the bandage replaced, so i returned with a friend of mine to have the bandage replaced,Melissa Healy, stated that the bandage was in good condition and clean so there was no reason to mess with it, so she placed a bandage over the original one. Then we took mocha back again when it was her time to have the bandage replaced, well they didn't want to mess with it then either, and wrapped another bandage over the first two layers. Then I took her again and Melissa Healy still did not want to mess with her bandage so she placed another bandage on the three layers of bandages she already had on. well finally i took MOCHA back tuesday March 12th 2012 to have ALL of the bandages removed and the technicians discovered Mocha had pressure sores all up and down her leg from the splint. At this point i could not afford more x-rays and they wouldn't even let me see the sores Mocha had. When i confronted Melissa Healy about how the problem could have been prevented or discovered earlier if they would have replace the bandages sooner like i paid for she accused me of telling her "i told her not to replace them", even though i paid for the service several times, she as well as the front desk staff laughed about the situation and were very unprofessional, and even cruel. If you love your animal as much as i do u will not go to Cloverleaf Animal Clinic. I am taking further action against them because Mocha is in worse condition now then she was when the accident occurred. Her paw is so swollen is is unrecognizable and she can not even put pressure on it, there are sores all up and down her leg pouring with blood and puss. And This Could Have Been Prevented If They Did Their Job. read more

We were faithful patrons of Cloverleaf Animal Clinic for six years. They were great for routine checkups and kennel stays. Unfortunately when our pet had a real health crisis, they really let us down. Our vet ordered several tests and a 48-hour hospital stay, and then said he'd be in touch with the results on Monday. By midday on Wednesday, I called thinking that no news meant good news, received word that he was on vacation for 10 days and that one of the other vets would call us back when they could. This news shocked me, as I had spoken with our vet and his tech on the phone and in person several times before and during the hospital stay, and they never mentioned that anyone besides our vet would call us...or not call us. When the other vet called, she called to deliver bad test results in a very clipped manner. After weeks of worry, this news (and the way it was delivered) was devastating. After considering our options, we decided to seek out a new vet, go through more tests and schedule another ultrasound with a specialist. I realize that not everyone can afford to switch vets in the middle of treatment and repeat tests, so I wanted to make our story known. Your pet deserves the best medical treatment and truly compassionate care. If you feel you aren't getting that, it's time to find a new vet or at least get a second opinion. read more
