This review is LONG overdue! Shelly did my ombré brows a few months ago, so I've had time to really…read moreget used to it. Let me tell you! That woman changed my life for the better. Before: When I made my appointment online through Styleseat, she reached out to me shortly after to find out what I was hoping to get out of the appointment. I let Shelly know that I wanted my eyebrows to look super natural and subtle before I even walked through the door. She said she knew exactly what I was going for. I was...skeptical. I did what most people do and googled reviews. She had none. I was so scared, but I saw some pictures of her precise microblading work and felt more at ease. Appointment: Shelly was very kind and patient as I asked countless questions about the process. She had me pick the shape I wanted for my eyebrows and had me sign a liability waiver. She then gave me a handout that explained the healing process. It seemed simple enough. Then it came time for her to work on my eyebrows. From beginning to end, I want to say that the process may have been about an hour or so but I don't remember. Boy, that thing was painful. Even with the numbing cream! The big thing I do remember is when she handed me a mirror to look at my new eyebrows. The shape was gorgeous, but my eyebrows were WAYYYYY too dark and blocky. The handout said that my eyebrows wouldn't get this dark for another day or so. I paid and left. Secretly mortified. Did I just make a huge mistake?! No, I did not make a mistake. Healing: For the first 48 hours, I didn't wet my eyebrows. Over the course of the first week, I did my best not to get my eyebrows wet for too long. They started peeling and revealing these light grey, unevenly-colored eyebrows. First, they were too dark and now this?!? Again, the shape was gorgeous but I was not happy with my eyebrows. Two weeks later, no more peeling! My eyebrows were less grey, but noticeably lighter in some areas. I knew that my eyebrows needed a touch-up soon so I made another appointment with Shelly. Touch-up: This time, she addressed the inconsistencies that came from the first healing process and sharpened the tails of my eyebrows. I was so pleased this time around because she used a newer, less painful instrument and my eyebrows looked great right off of the table. I am so thoroughly grateful for her patience and skill. The BEST part for me is that I don't get complimented by people who see my eyebrows for a short period of time. I get compliments from the people who see me regularly! My eyebrows are look so natural that people assume that they're my eyebrows or that I do my makeup that well. I can keep my brows a secret, but I tell anyone who is willing to listen that I got my eyebrows done by Shelly! I am thoroughly pleased with Shelly's work. She has a customer for life!
