This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I had automated prescription refills for shots that were required to be delivered to my doctor once a month, as I needed to receive the shot once a week in my doctor's office to ensure I carried my baby to term. The pharmacist never refilled them on time, my doctors office received them late 99% of the time. They were supposed to call me when they would charge my credit card, they only did that one month out of five months. Even when I would call in advance to let them know the days my appts were and the medicine would need to be there on those days, they still would not arrive due to some sort of snafu that they could never fully explain to my satisfaction. My first prescription was ordered over a week in advance of outpatient surgery, which is when I was due for my first shot. I spoke in detail with the pharmacist on how it was crucial that the prescription was received the day prior to my surgery as I had to have the shot 24 hours prior, or I could not have the surgery. It never arrived. When I called, they said they were waiting for insurance approval to go through. But no time during those 7+ days, did they call to let me know about the situation, so I had no way of knowing that it would not be there in time. I was very angry that they didn't call and give me the opportunity to pay full price and seek my own reimbursement from my insurance. The surgery was not something that could be put off any later, it was crucial to maintain my pregnancy, which had been explained to them the week prior. On another month of refills, they delivered to the incorrect doctors office, so that I still didn't have my shot on time. On a different month, their compounding center materials were not available, which is not my problem. I need the shots when I need the shots, and it is up to them to make sure their supplies are in order and plentiful to fill the prescriptions on order.
They were never apologetic for their mistakes. They never attempted to make it right with the customer. They never tried to work out better arrangements with my doctor's office. They just continued with their pathological need to continually screw up my orders. My pregnancy is stressful enough, without dealing with their headaches. I've been on bedrest for 5 weeks now, and I can't have any stress in my life, in order that I carry this baby to term.
In short, this pharmacy is poorly managed, with no idea how to run a competent business. I encouraged my doctor to find a different supplier, but this is the only compounding center and cheapest in the area. We had no other options except to order from WI or NJ. I would gladly encourage another pharmacy in IL to start up a compounding lab to compete with these morons, as that is the only thing that will resolve the situation. They have no incentive to improve as they have no competition. Please, please, someone fill this niche market. The rest of IL customers will applaud you and provide you with all of their business, and I will be the first in line. read more
