I have the full address if y'all want it. I yelled out to them to not shoot this was but they just showed me that I was #1 and kept on . I'm very grateful that my dog wasn't hit by a pellet and they're very blessed they didn't hit her with a pellet. As much as I love going to this dog park we won't be going anymore. There's no reason to shoot pellet guns into a dog park that takes a certain kind of Stupid to do such a thing. You can tell they truly don't care about any type of pet . So if anyone has a good dog park suggestion I'll be glad to hear it. Nothing against Officer Cash dog park but for the safety of my dog we won't be going there anymore.

See below: Neat dog park dedicated to K9 Cash, the first K9 officer of the Angleton Police Department. I like the tribute! The entrance is to the right of the Angleton Animal Control building, with plenty of parking. Make sure your pooch has it's shots prior to going and gets along well with others! They have an obstacle ourse for dogs made from recycled playground parts which is neat. There's a seesaw, a "jump through", weave pol, a tunnel, a slide, and a couple other things. There are picnic tables for the humans to sit on- be sure to bring your own water for yourself. There is a water fountain for the dogs (and one higher up for humans), but I'd still bring a bottle with me. There's also a small fenced off area where you can take smaller dogs, if the big ones are too rowdy. There's doggy waste bags at the entrance of the bigger part for the dog park. Sometimes it's empty, I'd let animal control next door know this because they usually have extras. It does get hot in the summer, but there's a small covered area. Bring bug spray if it's mosquito season and it's later in the evening. There's a dog park group for this particular park on Facebook, so you can set up play dates with other pooches. Works well if you have a bigger dog and want equal sized playmates, lol!

The ground cover is a non-mess rubber which is super cool. The playground is actually divided into two separate ones: one for younger kids and one for older kids. There is a Splash pad at this park BUT it is closed due to Covid. The Pearland Recreation website said that the splash pad is typically open April 1-October 1. Surprisingly, the restroom facilities were OPEN (despite Covid). Cleanliness of the faculty could use some work... it was pretty gross in there. Good to have access to a restroom nonetheless. Other than that, we didn't really explore the area much. There is a dog park here, a walking/fitness trail, pavilions for picnics, etc. We can't wait to return!

This is a fairly accessible dog park, and with plentiful dedicated parking, which is really appreciated. Unfortunately, the park smells quite bad (probably because it is well trafficked), but there are also places (at least on the small side) where owners have not picked up after their pups, which adds to the sense the place is not sanitary. The pond is a nice touch, but as above, I worried about the cleanliness of the water. I am so glad the city curates spaces like this, but there are much nicer spaces in the city to take your pup!

To make matters worse, one of the other regulars confirmed that it happens often which was evident by the mounds of glass is random parts of the parking lot. Called the cops. It's nice to have some water to cool off, but not be such a large water/pond area that it's muddy or, better yet, I like that the pond water is just water; not chemically treated to give off the faux 'blue' color we've seen at other dog park ponds. Yes, the water is more murky because it's natural water, but I personally, feel better about my dog drinking/playing in it, knowing it's not chemically treated. My dog really enjoys the bridges and the rocky water stream on the small side. It's enough to splash in for him without getting soaked/submerged (he can't swim). When we go, there's never more than a few couple dogs at most there - 2 to 3 - so I do wish more dogs were there for social play. I always appreciate a dog park that has a rinse off station outside. It's well kept, not usually waste everywhere and doesn't smell.

Bring mosquito spray and watch for snakes on the trails. Only gripe from me is the water in the cabins was not clean so bring plenty of bottled water.
