I have nothing but praise for the things that matter here, including clinical care, professionalism, and mental health treatment for Veterans. The campus is like a park and they obviously take pride in maintaining it that way. I'm here for some healing, R&R, and education and this setting is very conducive to working on those goals. Think clinical excellence meets Southern Hospitality. I've been here before, in a previous season in life, to inspect the CLC (nursing home), to educate staff (I actually phoned-in an inservice training from my tent at Bonnaroo one year), and to attend meetings and other duties. I liked it then and that's why, when it came time to get help myself, this was the first facility that I called. There are a few details which kept me from rating 5 stars and I'll share them with Yelpers because that's what we're here for, isn't it? So, you know, this spa isn't exactly like they show in the travel guides, but it's really nice. Maybe it's because of the pandemic precautions, but they have forgotten to put the cucumber slices over my eyes for 22 straight days now and I guess they must be completely out of those little drink umbrellas. The food is really hit or miss, mostly miss. There are two graves here that are both descendants of the original landowner who donated this property, if I understand the story correctly. One is a Veteran of the War of 1812! There is a Fisher House and if I could have visitors (Covid precautions prohibit visitors) I'd totally have my family stay there because this Fisher House is like the others I've visited, super freakin' nice. The facility enjoys good support from area Veterans Service Organizations also.

Touch screen kiosk used for appointment/pharmacy check-in. Be prepared to lay your VA identification card with the bar-code up.

Checking in for an appointment can be done at a kiosk that scans the VA card. This makes one less line you have to stand in or at least speeds up the waiting time. The pharmacy also has a kiosk check in system. The employees are outwardly thanking the vets for their service. The desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The snow and ice are not being tended to like most other customer based building entries. Please be careful not to injure yourself.

As soon as I got to the ER they took me to a room and the sweetest nurse, name Caroline, took control of my care and assured me I would be OK. Caroline was very gentle when she started my IV and she let me know everything about my care before she did anything. She was very patient with me especially and my family and answered all our questions about what was going on with me and what to expect. Hopefully this would explain some bad health issues I had been experiencing. Ip stay in the ER till about 3pm and everyone I came in contact with couldn't have been nicer. I felt very safe and well taken care of. I must admit I NEVER imagined that this would lead to being admitted to the hospital but it did. I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate everything Nurse Caroline did for me and my family while under her care. FOR SURE

There was 1 or 2 that did not treat people with total disrespect. The folks that ran the day to day should be fired and reported. I was physically abused, verbally abused. The did not know what hippa laws are for. They totally disregarded my right to privacy . The all night crew, were nothing but mean. So much was done and said and I cannot communicate the physical pain as well as verbal. The day that I was discharged I told the social worker about the terrible way I was treated. All I know the group were from another country, they twisted my arm, I observed one of the gang taking a recording of me on there cell phone. I had/have several bones broken in my foot. I was given a wheel chair and told by my Vanderbuilt Doctor to not put any weight on my foot. I was moved to a much smaller unit. This where I met the Nigerian Night Crew. They snatched my wheel chair from me and took it away. They were laughing and told me my foot was not hurt. I was threatened if I contacted the police, I would be sorry. This is just the tip of the iceberg . I did file a police report in Murfreesboro. I am sure it was never addressed. I was worse when I left than I was when I was admitted. ******************************* Please do not go there! It was nasty. Too much to tell like this, I hope this saves someone from going there. If you want to compare notes, please feel free to contact me via email: luvgill@me.com. I was told by the patient advocate that she would file a complaint with the state. I called back the day after discharged. The person I spoke to was rude and just mean. She advised me to never call back again.

My first visit was with his PA, Cassidy Crawford, and she was fantastic. I saw Dr. Zane Cooke for the first time yesterday and was completely impressed. Dr. Cooke spoke with me about my lab results in a sincere, unhurried manner. We discussed my medical history, and he genuinely seemed to care. Dr. Cooke is a credit to his profession. I also want to mention his nurse (I feel bad that I do not recall her name). She was professional, nice, and efficient. So glad my daughter suggested him.

They are now trying to charge me $300, even though I never received a bill during that time--either through the patient portal or by mail. I don't understand how a patient can be billed five years later with no prior notice. I asked if they would waive the balance since it was never communicated to me, especially considering that I have always paid every other bill I received. Every other balance has been paid timely. They refused. To make matters worse, my doctor's office is now refusing to see me until the balance is paid. As a result, I can't get a medication refill or a procedure that I need. I've spoken with both the billing department and my doctor's office multiple times, but instead of helping resolve the issue, each department just passes me to someone else. No one takes ownership, and nothing gets resolved. I'm exhausted from being given the runaround. Based on my experience, MMC's billing practices and lack of communication have been extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend them.
