For someone with such experience and expertise, she's extremely down-to-earth and approachable. I came to Dr. Vause at a time of change in my life (at work, with family, and in my relationships), and my stress was surging. My depression and anxiety levels were becoming hard to manage, and I was turning to drugs and alcohol to cope. Dr. Vause helped me get through it. In addition to counseling, she guided me through some challenging but needed adjustments to my medication regimen. Every med suggestion was explained clearly, Dr. Vause answered all of my questions, and I knew what to expect in terms of effects and side-effects. I never felt as if pills were just being pushed my way; she really wanted me to participate in my own treatment and understand her reasoning. In addition to the excellent medication recommendations and adjustments, she is a wonderful therapist. Since seeing her, I have felt much better, and have experienced real improvements in my life. Her combination of innate sensitivity, compassion, and deep medical expertise is quite rare. I feel completely comfortable and secure in this relationship, and am fortunate to have found this exceptional doctor. Dr Vause answered and told me she was…read morenot accepting new clients (I also emailed her 2 weeks ago but never received a response); I politely advised her to update her website to mention this but she didn't seem to care. I asked for a referral (virtually every doctor has at least one other doctor they refer patients to) but she had NONE. She seemed completely unapologetic and I felt like I was simply wasting her time and she just wanted me to hang up. Obviously since she has no openings for new clients there is no harm to her business by posting this...only saving others from wasting their time. I am suicidal and need a doctor asap. But I don't need a doctor that lacks compassion and has no interest to help unless you happen to be an existing patient.

They have an ant problem in the rooms and rodent issues (not sure if this is just a LA thing cause I've seen this issue at other facilities). I only liked the groups and the food. The techs are kinda helpful or I'll say Johnny and Egla are helpful. Bobby is the worst! So pretentious and sarcastic and doesn't do anything! Javi is.. Javi. Oh, Alex is good too. Late night staff is lazy. The nurse is helpful and actually listened to my needs and what I needed. The "case manager" or should I call her Christian Crystal.. she is so useless. All she does is force her religious beliefs on you. She is always stressed and acts like you asking her a question or needing help is an issue. Getting help from her or Katrina is like waiting in line at the DMV AKA YOU ARE ALWAYS WAITING. Katrina is their so called therapist who I wonder is even licensed. Her advice is underwhelming. I got more from my peers and facilitators than her. Also the care from Katrina and Crystal just feels very manipulative. They get mad at you when you don't do what they want and give you the silent treatment. They love to throw words around like "I care about you" "I love you" "this is a special place". Every time you ask something you get told "Sam said no" or "Let me talk to Sam first". Is Sam freaking god?! Oh and don't let you feel sick and ask to miss group! If you don't feel good they threaten you with going to the ER. You have headache? Go to the ER. A lot of things don't make sense here. There is a lot of special treatment to favorite house members. Also we caught staff members talking about us multiple times. All these people do is gossip around the house. I thank the staff and facilitators that helped me only.

Full experience here: After I received my blood work results, I attempted to make an appointment at the doctor's request. Via phone call, the receptionist advised I schedule via text. Each of the 4 times I attempted to schedule via text, they responded as if I'd never messaged before, never giving me an appointment. This took a full week of trying and then finally they said it was best to schedule via phone call. I quickly called and aired my frustrations with the runaround they gave me, requesting to speak with the Doctor. The next day, when the reception team connected me with Dr. Hirt, he answered saying "Happy Birthday!" He thought I was a completely different patient. If this much poor communication is happening in this office between the staff and Dr - and he isn't even aware what patients he is speaking to - how can I trust him to properly diagnose me? The Doctor and his staff do not have the capacity for the quantity of clients that Dr. Hirt takes on. Distraction and bad communication in a medical office lead to malpractice and I do not want anyone to put themselves at that risk by going to his office.

They let me in before this is a dual diagnose. I have a drug and a emotional problem. And they know and it's grief it went to someone's desk and they specifically said no. 20 minutes before I even supposed to get into this Uber. I'm rejected and now I'm at home and let's hope fentanyl or something doesn't take me out. The Weight of Compassion I've seen it all in recovery's fight, how we forget the pain our of the darkest night. We think we're better, we think we've won, but who are we to turn away anyone? Addiction can be combative, angry, afraid, and sometimes it feels like they lost they're way. "F you" or "go f yourself " sometimes is the best thing I can ever hear Because It shows me they're ready to fight for their life , but they're still stuck in fear! But every day is a new chance, a fresh start, even if they fall, we still have heart. We think we're strong because we've come this far, but what's strength if we forget who we are? Were weren't born in pain, or in love that was lost? So we can find our strength again and take it back at all costs! It doesn't matter if you were born rich or born not so lucky But fuck it what is money?power? Recovery if we still live in shame! But the point's not where we've come from or been, it's knowing we're human, we all have our own sin. Remember the day All we needed was someone to say, "Here's my hand, let me help you find your way." I worked in recovery, helped people stand, But trust me I've seen some fall and die It's shit i'll never comprehend. my mom always said, " I don't care if they've been here once or 100 times" let them in because you never know when the miracle will happen. WE WILL never turned anyone away no matter where they've been! I believe in divine intervention! That's why I have integrity and good intentions! It's not about days, not about the using streak-- It's about the  love and compassion, when it's help that they seek. But I'll never turn away, no matter how much they've fallen, because I know the pain of being forgotten. So If they need help, be here to stand, whether they stumbled or just need a hand.
