This patient snapped back, and the office manager Trish got involved. Not only did she instantly take her side, she flat-out refused to hear mine. She spoke to me with absolute hate and rage in her voice, demanding I be polite but making no such demand of the receptionist (in a health-care facility no less!) who had spoken rudely to me first. Worse, she went on a power trip and demanded I get out of the office and said she would personally prevent any of the doctors there from treating me. In other words, "I don't care how cold and abrupt the lady was with you, you are to smile sweetly and take it or you can get out of here with whatever ailments you may have and I don't care if you drop dead." I don't even know if it's legal to withdraw care from a heart patient and I have posed that question to the state. I am 100% sure it is unethical. How does she sleep nights?
