Here why there getting a 1 star that's right a 1 star review. I arrive for my appointment early they are super rude right off the bat RED FLAG like you need to fill this out go sit down and do it. I informed them I already have had done it on my computer the lady didn't know how to do and ask someone else RED FLAG she like aren't you a good patient and she said it in the way like I'm a dog a dog. like I am coming in to make pick you too fix the thing I hate most my smile which with my amazing dental benefits gonna cost me a couple grand like talk to me like an actual human not like I am your dog. Then every can ear someone in the back coughing like there dying like its bad I have allergies and it didn't sound like allergies. I approach because I was just sick getting more and more uncomfortable for the lady to be like we test like I'm physically uncomfortable RED FLAG making it a joke you test means nothing if your sick your sick no issue but stay home or be a HUMAN like be like can I give a mask to wear or I'm sorry you feel that way ill have them not put you near them. Like I now been waiting for over 15 minutes I ask how much longer till we start my consultation there like we are busy you will have to wait. Like okay I schedule the consult and your telling me you too busy for me to be seen like really like really. I walk out and go home they then call me be like were did you go 10 minutes after I left I said you told me you were too busy. Like the doctor calls me then like why did you leave I told her. Not once did she say please come back I'll get you in asap and try to fix what happened. she just apologized and tryed to justify her teams actions like treating someone poorly that's not acceptable like that's the first face of your business do better let them know this isn't accpetable like do something to make me wanna come back and I would of if she would been like I'm so sorry please just come back ill have that employee stay far away from you do to what took place that didn't happen so I just went home and she wasn't happy when I told her I going to post a 1 star review of my exipernce

Hi Dental is located in the same block/main building of The Jefferson of Farmingdale Plaza…read more(apartment complex). Directly surrounding the block are metered spots. There's a free three hour lot off of S Front St between Main St and Elizabeth St as well. Hi Dental is actually considered out-of-network for our dental insurance, but every single member of my family hates the dentist so it was of the utmost importance to find one that we actually do love. I spoke to Kate, the receptionist, about our insurance situation. I stressed that I didn't mind a reasonable cost but that I was concerned about extreme, surprise bills. She got our information, spoke to our insurance, and was able to be very transparent about the charges that we may incur. I also received handy text reminders on my phone before our appointments. The office itself is clean and brand new. We actually lived in the same building when Hi Dental opened and I'd been eyeing it as a potential dentist for two years before mustering up the courage to bring my family. There's a restroom right off of the waiting room that's large enough to accommodate our double stroller and myself. There's also water, tea, and coffee available. My daughter enjoyed the little reading nook and kid's books. There's also free wifi available that was easy and reliable to connect to. As aforementioned, no one in my family enjoys going to the dentist. My young daughter and husband straight up hate going. My daughter refused to even open her mouth up for a dentist up until her appointment with Dr. Im. So that meant she never had a successful dentist visit until now at the age of five. I mentioned this on the paperwork new patients fill out before being seen. Dr. Im read it and had a brief chat with me before they brought my daughter back for a cleaning. I was able to stand in the hallway by the exam room and observe her appointment. I knew it'd be a home run as soon as Dr. Im offered to play something on Netflix for my daughter to watch during her appointment. Dr. Im and Kate explained everything that they were doing before they did it. A positive time at the dentist for my child is priceless because it makes my life easier. For my husband and I, Dr. Im showed us the x-rays of our teeth before doing a cleaning. My husband is an orthopod and seeing our x-rays clearly on the large flat screen tv was just a nice, quiet confirmation that Dr. Im is being honest with her suggestions for further dental care. We both found it easy to talk to her about our respective dental concerns. I also thought Dr. Im had a light, gentle touch when it came to the actual cleaning and Kate was also not overzealous with the suctioning. We got a clear breakdown of the cost of our visits and a bag of dental goodies at the end of our appointments. Dr. Im and Kate transformed our family's negative perception of dentist visits. I'd highly recommend Hi Dental to everyone!

Before starting treatment, I specifically asked Michelle to verify my insurance because, as a teacher living on a budget, I could not afford unexpected costs. I delayed treatment for a week so they could confirm coverage, and I was assured my insurance would cover $1,500. Based on that information, I signed the contract and began treatment. Months later, after already being deep into treatment, I was suddenly told that insurance had not covered anything and that I was responsible for the balance. When I questioned this, I was told they had only done a "verbal" verification and had no documentation of it. Despite repeatedly assuring me coverage had been verified, they now point only to the contract saying I am responsible if insurance does not pay. Communication has also been extremely frustrating. Calls were not returned, I was repeatedly placed on hold until the office closed, and promised callbacks never happened. Meanwhile, payments continued being deducted without proof of payment being provided. Unfortunately, while the orthodontic treatment itself seems fine, the business practices felt unprofessional and predatory. I trusted that my insurance had been properly verified before committing to treatment, but instead I was left dealing with unexpected financial consequences after I was already "on the hook" in the middle of treatment.
