I am writing this as our experience at Play and Learn was GREATLY different than Tina L's. Both my…read morechildren attended this preschool, and we attended for a total of 5 years. Ms. Debby the owner is, in fact, FANTASTIC. As for food on the floor, and toys scattered everywhere, well, I think it is more important to spend time with the children then to worry about sweeping the floor. When you have 20 plus children at a time, and typically 3 teachers, as was the case during our 5 years of attending, I challenge anyone to not have to constantly clean the floor to keep it looking nice. Both my children went to this school not potty trained, and both of them had great help from the school learning this often difficult and challenging process. In addition, both my children learned counting, their ABC's, some music, made lots of art projects, and learned how to behave in a group/educational environment. And they learned all this attending only 2 half days a week each. Play and Learn is a combination Preschool and daycare. It worked great for me, the prices were so very reasonable, and Debby was more than flexibile to our often changing needs. She even was open during most of the summer, except for the month of June when needing to close down for the fair. My kids were always happy, clean, and sometimes not wanting to leave when I picked them up. When I originally looked at preschools, Play and Learn was the only school that said to drop in any time, while most other schools I had to make an appointment, or they were just plain non welcoming during my phone calls. Yes, Play and Learn is older, not a brand new facility, but it is the quality of the people involved. When you go to a school, and the kids are clean, happy, and playing well together, that to me is most important. And I saw the teachers spend more than adequate time in the bathroom dealing with the thankless job of children's dipaers and accidents. In addition, the bathroom was toward the black of the main area of the school, with an open door, with an easy ability to hear and see what children are doing in there.
