This catapulted the family into making a rush choice of Brown (Well, there are only two...). By the time I arrived, arrangements to get the body had been made. Calming angst, my cousin even came in a day earlier. This is where the deplorable starts. His mother wants to see him and asks when she can. The funeral director gives a (dis)comforting speech on how he needs to hire more people, this is a busy weekend, so he can't prepare the body until the last minute. Please, spare us the detail of why you can't do your job. A few words to insist that the body could not be prepared until the viewong would have been better than basically telling us, "I don't have time for you." Next, instead of revealing that my cousin was broad-shouldered and would need a plus-sized casket, then offering the lowest-priced option...he breaks out with a yard stick, doesn't tell us what is going on, leads us to the casket room, and starts measuring, while describing his breadth. Really?! This is heart-wrenching! I was going to keep my tongue--until all persons who accompanied us had the same shock, discussed at the viewing. Gheez! The #1 job is to COMFORT the family, not further stress us out.

All comments were deleted and not available for viewing. There was no viewing or funeral thanks to greedy family member that was in charge of my dads services. Because they were getting paid by said family member they chose to take the road to deny the family any viewing or the ability to leave thoughts and prayers. Sister went up there daily to get her copy of the death certificate. Each day they said that the state was backed up in getting them issued. Today they called my sister to inform her that the family had already picked the death certificates up. They new darn good and well that they were contributing to an immoral family member just because he was paying them.

My mom passed away in San Antonio, TX and they coordinated with another funeral home and solved problems the one in San Antonio couldn't and transported her body from San Antonio to Little Rock. The staff was so courteous and caring and went out of their way to make me feel everything was under control because the last thing I needed was stress during that time. Craig and Mandy took amazing care of me and were patient with me during my constant barrage of questions and concerns. Also, the way my mom looked was incredible. It's almost as if they knew how she had looked all her life and she looked so peaceful and natural. They dressed her in an outfit my wife picked out and put the jewelry on her in such a classy way. The graveside funeral itself was such a special time for our family and was exactly what we wanted. Billy was so caring, patient and compassionate. I could tell this was more than just a job for him - he really cares about people and God bless him! We never felt rushed or pressured. There was plenty of room for the family to…read moresit in a side room to leave room for plenty of other friends and visitors in the main room/chapel. The staff offered us coffee and water and had tissues and a sign in book hwen we arrived. They have a covered parking for their vehicles but family can use it the day of the funeral to be in the processional. No escort but its small town se we really didnt need one. There is ample parking for visitors accross the street in a parking lot and also parking along the street.

He told me he would have someone in New Orleans would be their partner to pick up her body They charged double because of this . They also knew we had burial policies purchased from them but tried to act as if they didn't know and left them off of the invoice. They didn't follow through on schedules as promised, and we got to the graveside and things were not set up at all. Very poor service. The current Mr Robinson should be ashamed and know that his family would be ashamed that this is what it's come to.
