The gentlemen are professional tradesman of the craft. Love the haircuts, friendly chats and the overall banter amongst them and fellow patrons. When I see television shows depicting barber shops this that place. This is not Great Clips, Super Cuts or some other chain type "whack a cut" assembly line. They take their time and strive to make each patron look great and leave satisfied. This barbers take the time to get to know you and greet you like family once you come a few times. The owner seems nice but I only had maybe one interaction with him. The instruments don't ever look very clean, every time I've come they have me sit at a station and it's covered in dust, nails and dirty towels. I don't think I've ever seen them grab a fresh towel before starting on me. I got acrylics done the last visit before this one and he made them very thick, the acrylic also wasn't laid completely flat on my nail bed. So It was frustrating because I kept getting stuff stuck between where the acrylic and nail had gaps afterwards. This last time I came, I got my acrylic removed and just wanted a regular polish. The girl who worked on me was pretty much burning my fingers with the drill when removing the acrylic, I tried to hang in there but eventually had to ask for her to take it a little easier. She was on a call for about half of the time and when I got my polish and left, I noticed my nails weren't filed evenly and the polish didn't cover my nails completely in some areas. I don't like making a fuss about those things so I just left it alone but sadly this will be the last time I come here. It's pricy getting nails done now a days so I really don't want to pay a forth time for the same experience again. I was just hoping this place lived up to the hype I read about but it's not the place for me.

The place was fairly busy, but there were a few workers not doing anything, so when they asked us both to sit down and filled up the 2 tubs I just figured the people standing around would be helping us. One gentleman started on my wife's pedicure, but I just ended up sitting there. After about 20 or more minutes, the water in the tub had become cool at this point, we asked if someone was going to help me. It's then that we were told that some of the other workers sitting around didn't do pedicures and I'd be waiting till someone finished another patron and could start me. After sitting for that long, the water going cool, no one explaining the situation up to that point and the fact that I didn't want to be started at the same time the wife was finishing so she could wait around, I decided to just leave. It would have been much better to just tell us what the situation was at the start, instead of making it seem like they had time and making me sit around for that long.

I love the peaceful environment and soft lighting. The new manicure chairs and table are great, and the pedi massage chairs are super. But the most important part is the nail service. This is a small, family-run salon. John, his wife Chao, their son, and Maria are all very skilled and kind. I've loved every pedi and mani I've gotten from here. I usually have Chao do my dip manicures and Maria do my pedicures. They get to know their clients here, and Chao will have have a beautiful polish picked out for me because she knows exactly what I like! This isn't a bright lights, glitzy salon with menus and wine. There are plenty of those. This is family-feel, relaxing, and welcoming. Customers come first.
