I temped AT the actual CityStaff office and then was permanently placed by them a few weeks later…read more I loved the staff there, but I will say that the staff recently was turned over completely, so that's something to keep in mind for some of the bad reviews below. I felt like they listened to my needs and were able to find me a position that really aligned to my background. I was able to fit into a needed-role at the organization up until my start date which was really helpful. While I was in the office, I was able to see the way the staff interacted with candidates. They were very professional and I could tell they truly cared about finding the right placement for each person. In reading some of the bashing below, I feel like people should keep in mind that a company isn't responsible for getting every single person their dream job. A staffing organization is working with a ton of moving parts, and the GOOD ones are only going to send a candidate to a client if they are a good match, not just because they asked nicely or because they really needed a job. If it were that easy, we'd all have our dream jobs and make a ton of money, right?! Net, net: The folks at CityStaffDC were doing a great job and I would highly recommend working with any of them.

A week after I posted this review I found out…read morethat City Staff had made a copy of my Yelp review and emailed it to my former boss at the organization I temped with, in an attempt to hurt and punish me for publishing this review. I have never seen a company behave with such a clear lack of respect for their clients. Please tread with caution.

Beverley actually remembered me from 10 years ago, which says a lot considering the amount people and resumes that come across her desk. She was always enthusiastic, and helpful and took the time to understand what type of position I was seeking and placed with me excellent firms each time. Beverley was superb with following up with me as well as the employer. Since I have been hired, Beverley still checks in to make sure everything is going ok and to see if there is anything else that can be done on her end to make sure I am satisfied in my new position. My experience with Palmer, especially Beverley, has been overwhelmingly positive and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Needless to say, this all felt fast and efficient compared to my unanswered stack of applications, and made me feel confident when I was feeling down and out. Within two weeks I had an offer for some part time employment in front of me, with an option to take it or wait for something else. I have already recommended them to many friends and associates similarly on the hunt--and I obviously recommend them to you as well!

I was a little skeptical at first about staffing agencies (I'm a skeptic about everything) but decided to give them a try. I was contacted and was in their office the next day filling out paperwork for payroll. I was set up with a position to work at a non profit call center that very evening! I really couldn't believe how easy and quick it was considering I've had harder times placing orders at drive thrus. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional and the office was very easy to find. The biggest plus in my book besides the staff was getting paid every week....my bank account appreciated that. Glad I gave them a try and I'll be sure to check with them if I ever need another gig. Chris, thank you for being awesome!
