The seats were surpirisingly more comfortable than I expected, although the legroom was a little tight for my long legs. For reference, I'm 5'9 1/2". The acoustics were excellent! I liked that there were drinks and food options available, and that drinks could be brought into the theater. That's rare. My only complaint, which may not be the fault of the Majestic, was that the lead singer's voice was drowned out by the instruments. To be fair, Amber's (the lead singer) voice is very sweet and soft. The instruments of the band sounded great and were very crisp and clear, which was a testament to the sound system and acoustics in the room, but they overpowered the lead singer. The lighting on the stage was also very good. In the basement of the theater, there are vintage artifacts from the theater, and details about the history of the items and the theater. This is very nice and a great way to preserve and teach the history of the Majestic for generations to come. For parking, there's a nearby outdoor parking lot down the street but the cost is $30 to park. I would definitely return to the Majestic for a concert!

Everyone was super respectful about personal space, In the audio was fantastic. There was a much table outside of the room as well as a small one right when you enter the room. This stage was rather small, but it also allowed the audience to see the performers pretty close up. David was super super talented. The two dancers that he had on stage also was a great addition to his vocals. Band was also really good. It was also pretty easy to get an Uber when the concert finished. We definitely recommend seeing one of your favorite artist here, especially since it's such an intimate venue compared to big stadiums in arenas

HOB is always very chilly inside and this was no exception. The decor is very nice and since it's small you always have a good view. Only 2 things I did not like. 15 dollars for a canned beer is outrageous. Shots of good alcohol were cheaper at 12.99. The bartender was less than pleasent and very crusty. Then with the show still going on she was closing down the bar. It was before 11pm and people were still wanting drinks. I would live to go here again though just for the room and the sound

You can Bring Your Own Booze (BYOB) which also saves you money. We brought bottles of beer, and the box office had a bottle opener we could use to pop them open. There was no corkage fee, but they aren't going to be providing glasses or ice, nor will they pour your beverage for you. If you need a snack during the show, they offer some concessions at the box office window. It looked like candy, chips, and canned soda were available for sale. Before the late show, someone setup a table to sell multi-colored popcorn. It's not dinner, but it will tide you over until you can eat a proper meal elsewhere. The venue is located in a business park with plenty of free parking outside. There was a police officer parked in the lot and making the rounds. Not sure if that is par, but the business park seemed like a clean and relatively safe area. It's not the Ritz, but it isn't dive bar quality either. The walls are painted black and decorated with colorful panels. Metal stacking chairs with built in cushions are lined up nicely with at least one small table squeezed in each row. You could move the chairs if you felt you needed a little more elbow room. There are no arm rests. The low table allows you to set your drinks and snacks down so you can clap for the entertainment, but you'll need to get there early to score a spot next to one. The front row has two, 3-seater, plush couches. We got there early enough to get one of those seats, but opted to avoid the potential punishment of sitting in the front row of a comedy show. The comics during the early show were from Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. It was mostly local talent. Both men and women performed short sets of maybe 10-15 minutes. There were about 5 different comics that performed during the early show. Each comic had a monologue with some gems and some duds. This is raw talent, not polished TV fodder, but entertaining just the same. The late show was a special show. I wish we could have stayed for it, as the publicity for it was originally how we found out about this place. The venue is also offering improv classes. You'll have to check their website for prices and a schedule. Improv classes are for everyone, and everybody who takes them can benefit from learning to think out of the box, to integrating spontaneous creativity in their life, and to fostering better communication with others. This place is a good bargain for those looking for a night out without breaking the bank. Since my hubby is cheap, I'm sure we will be back.

This was my family's first time in Dallas. We did some bar hopping before hand and ended up walking into Frankies and downstairs to the show at Sharkys on a whim. i believe it was $15 a person which seemed like a fair price for laughs and a good show. The comedians we saw perform were overall not very funny. The small crowd the place did manage to draw was pretty dead. laughs were few and far between but we were trying to have fun regardless. Comics attempting to roast people were mostly appropriate but at a certain point went way too far with it. It came across as insults rather than poking fun. It actually made me pretty uncomfortable, needless to say, we left early and i doubt we will ever come back. This is a first for me as far as paying for a show and leaving early... not a great impression. The Owner seems like a pretty good guy... maybe it was just a bad night? I dont know, but it left a pretty cruddy stain on the otherwise great time we had in a new city.

The design of the building is aesthetically pleasing, art deco, big windows. I rather like all the red inside too, but perhaps that is just me. It is very much its own space, and not like any of the modern buildings today. Parking is free, which is a rare find in Dallas these days too. There are concessions, wine, soda, cookies and such, which you can take into the theater with you. The air conditioning was icy cold, which I was happy for! For those that got too chilly, right in the back are blankets available to use! How charming. I'd say every view is a good one here too, no bad seats. I found the chairs more comfortable than the ones at the Wyly Theatre for sure. The play itself was well done, good casting, especially Colonel Brandon, though he did make me think - Willoughby who? *fans self* The revolving stage was a little distracting, but the play itself was lovely as Jane's work almost always is. The actors bounding up the stairs and into the audience was unexpected for this type of play, but worked well, and many of the lines were delivered to much laughter. Austen fans shouldn't miss it!
