I was so excited to finally attend the Usama Sadiqque show! This Improv location was easy to find and parking was no issue. I really liked this venue better than my local one. I felt it was spacious, organized and had style. I really loved the opening visuals that came prior to the show beginning. The wait staff were nice, they do received about an 18% tip that's already included in your tab. There is a two item requirement to purchase a drink or food per person. In the end, they had it organized to where you could take pics with the headliner and go. While waiting outside, Usama was just walking around and I captured my video with him. You can tell the performers are comfortable here so much that they were walking around prior to their set. I Really loved my experience here! First time coming to improv and glad I finally made it. Seen an incredible show by Monet X Change. The place is cool but could use a refresh I feel. The chairs are crazy uncomfortable. I was struggling to make it through the show because I wanted to get out the chair so bad. With as much money as I know this venue makes on ticket sales and food sales, I would love to see some new tables and seating and a refresh on the layout tbh. Two item minimum purchase per person, so don't show up broke. I ordered nachos and a margarita. Both were actually good and not too badly priced at all, so I can appreciate that. The service we received was good and our waiter was very attentive and fast. Cant wait to see more comedians though and will try some other food items as well. read more

Addison Improv let's just say my rating isn't on the Comics that come, I've throughly enjoyed the performances I've gone to see. This review is based on the food and drinks served which to me are overpriced, watered down. Catfish isn't real it's Swai fish and they charging you as if you don't know . Portion smalls all of the food comes out as if it was already precooked. It's required that you purchase a minimum of two items with an added 18% gratuity if the food and the drinks were actually worth it that would be okay. Again love the set up for the comedians and the venue itself, however food and drinks trash and the downside is you have to order two items read more

We attended the Tony Rock show last night. The comedians are always funny. Sometimes they overpack the place where you can't barely move but last night was okay. The biggest disappointment was the chicken wings... I used to love the original chicken wings they had - the breading on those chicken wings were unmatched. They've changed wings so that was very disappointing. read more

Just be aware of the window charging, we were charged twice one for a Preferred Table for two and when we asked if we can get a General Admission table instead they charged us again for that and didn't cancel the Preferred Table charge. We contacted them and talked to the manager who wasn't much of help. I asked my bank to dispute the Preferred Table charge and the headache is going on. They didn't respond to the bank request for receipt. It's disappointing as a frequent customer and I will not go there anymore. Zainab was great! Service was not. Our server spilled 2 drinks on my husband and made no concessions for an issues made 2 separate times. Then had the nerve to bring up a tip. Absolutely not! Got preferred seating and glad I did! Showed up fifteen minutes after showtime and was able to get a table mid stage, towards the back. It was our first time here and we had a great time. We saw Gianmarco Soresi who was such a blast to see in person! The vibe is fun and it's very clean. Even the bathrooms, which was nice :) We paid for semi premium seating which I felt was worth the money. Attaching a photo of our view below. We ate before so we didn't have any food, but we ordered drinks. I got a standard margarita on the rocks and upgraded to 1800 tequila. To my surprise it was VERY good. Had tons of fun seeing Affion Crockett and other acts at the comedy club! The tables were spaced out with one another so you didn't feel on top of each other. My friend and I had an overall, enjoyable experience. As a heads up, try to get there early to order your food and drinks so you don't feel disturbed when the acts are performing because your waiter will come by and ask you. The venue feels/looks like a little outdated, but it looks like they do what they can. Many don't go to a comedy for aesthetics so this is not a big deal to me. Fees: You will have to pay an 18% service fee on top of your tab which does not cover tip. Like many clubs in NY for example, you have to order a 2 drink minimum here. Parking: Can get very busy (especially when leaving) so be sure to plan ahead prior to your show. The comedy club is located in a strip mall so there are spots available. read more

Solid first comedy club experience! Lighting and vibes were good. Tickets were easy to get, though know that there are service fees for tickets and a service charge for food inside. All staff was nice and overall it was a good time getting to watch some up and coming comedians. Got a table for 8 and was expecting it to be in the back but it was right by the side of the stage with a great view. I was confused seeing that it was one scan per ticket so I called, and they explained that the first person to get there gets the table number and everyone who comes later just tells staff the table number to get to their seat. I've heard the two item minimum is standard practice at similar venues/other comedy clubs so that's something else to note if you've never been to a show before. I'd be back for a comedian I knew but wouldn't go out of my way to see up and coming stand-up comics every week, but that's a personal preference. read more

THREATENING ME TO CALL THE POLICE! The rudest people I have seen in my lifetime! They over charged us on our drinks without any reason and when I asked why, Jay told me they are gonna call police on us and ask us to leave! So I got Appletini, and I attached the photo here, the price is $12, the waiter asked me what type of vodka you want and I told her, I am not a big drinker and I go with whatever you have, she said I choose Titos for you! As you see there is no place on the Martini section or Appletini saying that they is an extra charge for the type of the vodka, specially when the WAITRESS CHOOSE FOR YOU! They added $3 to my bill for that. (He said this charge doesn't need to be written there and they can decide on that) Then my friend got the margarita and however the charge is $13, they charged her $14 and when she asked they said your margarita has had some flavor (as you can see it is on the menu to choose the flavor and there is nothing on extra charge). We paid $120 something on tickets and around $45 on our drinks (they ask to order at least 2 items per person which is okay since it was on the menu and we were aware at least) so $4 wasn't the issue but threatening the customer is something else! I actually called Addison Police and I have been told they can't come and check on them because this is a civil matter or something like that! Still I hope people can standup for themselves and at some point places like Addison Improv are charged for scamming and threatening people. read more

I was feeling it the 1st show since that's all I ordered with my 2 item minimum purchase. Old fashioned and TX tea. 2nd show I had nachos and water. On the way home... Back on the train... The shrimps were singing! I get 1 maybe 2 upset stomachs a year if that. Took awhile to get home to fort worth, but I made it there with the malt sickies. The acts are always great but BE AWARE of what the outing is going to cost you in total! Here's how it adds up: 1). My Tickets: fairly priced at $64 for a table for 2, but there was $15.60 fee - that's 24% !!! 2). There's a 2 drink minimum which is standard for comedy clubs. But the prices are more like those of a high end steak restaurant or swanky cocktail bar in Uptown, not the going rate for Addison or a place the looks like it was painted and outfitted by a few frat guys on a budget. And a bottle of water (the only way to get it) is $4. But it's a club so you have to expect to pay more. Well that might be fair except for... 3). There's an 18% service charge on all food and drink. And that is not gratuity (there's a separate line for that). So my trip there in theory: tix (with $7 fee), 5 drinks (I'll be generous,$10), glass of tap water and tip should come to $129. But my total was $208. That's nearly $80 or 61% more than you might expect. Like I said , the acts a great so I give 4 stars. I feel like if I was 30 again with the much smaller salary I would be giving 3 stars, a lot more mad about the drink prices and the service charge. read more

Place itself is nice enough, enjoyed the show and comedians, drinks were standard as well. We had purchased preferred seats for a premium price for the show, and arrived an hour and a half before. We were seated 3-4 rows away from the stage, although there were dozens of seats in front of us empty. When we asked to be moved up closer as we purchased preferred seats and no one else was there yet, and were told No by two staff for two different (non sensical) reasons. "You already ordered drinks so no we can't move you." and "It's all the same seating so. " Normally I wouldn't be bothered but this was a birthday gift and we paid significantly more for a table close to the stage. Seems the staff was holding spots for friends that arrived just as the show started. Pretty frustrating experience. read more

This is a "chain" club, so the best part about it is the opportunity to see real quality acts. The other good thing is some plantbased menu options. . As other Yelpers have noted the fees and 2 item minimum get you. For the late show, we had already been out to dinner and had plenty to drink. Forcing food and drink on you at that point in the night is not cool. The waitstaff were kind and hustled their best. However, after the stiff fees, the two item minimum, the tab includes an 18% service fee. I doubt the wait staff get many tips after customers get pissed about all that. We had a great time at the Addison Improv! There were three comedians - a host, a "warm-up" act, and the headliner. All were great! The costs can add up. There is the admissions fee (and service charges) and two-item minimum per person. There are lots of options for drinks - including nonalcoholic. Also, they add in 18% gratuities. The servers were trying really hard to get everyone drinks and food before the show. The were quick with the payments when they had to empty out the entire place between seatings. So you buy a ticket to see someone you know... You get shuffled in and find your seats! All Is good, show starts, waiters offer to serve you. But we just ate, so each person in my party just decided to have a cocktail or water. But when we go to leave, my ticket had my drink PLUS and $8 service charge. What? There is a two item order MINIMUM per PERSON. Or you get a $8 fee. I asked why this wasn't told to us when we bought or tickets OR when we were sat. The waiter in his big brown eyes said it's written on the very bottom of the menu... I wish I took a pic of it, it was so small. My friend said, well, how weee we supposed to SEE it if we didn't look at the menu?! His response was that it wasn't our fault that we didn't read it. So, go to another improv location. I had been here many years before, but this is ridiculous. None of us will go back... too bad. That's 43 of us and the communities we are a part of will definitely spread the word. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD! We celebrated my mom's 50th birthday 5/24 and we wont ever come back. The opener for Gary Owens wasnt funny and was talking about black people. The table next to us was talking about how they felt uncomfortable. (Mind you we paid good money as we got a 8 table top and a 2 table top and we were all black) we were told to keep it down once and we respected that. Another man who was white decided to come over for no reason and start drama trying to be all big and bad. He told ny auntie about the noise and she politely told him someone just came over and spoke with us. He decided to show his chest because she wasn't giving him the reaction he wanted and was being respectful he told her to leave. So we all followed to leave as we all came together. Once he got around his crew and other employees he decided to lie and say my auntie hit him. Instead of the establishment speaking to us with respect to see what really happened. They just listened to him and were rude telling us to leave. Some people in our party were drinking as we felt attacked by the establishment it got heated. The security guard I believe he was that started it all was trying to get my uncle to fight him so I had to put myself between them as he was egging my uncle on. He was squaring up with my uncle and kept putting his hands in his junk like he wanted to fight. No one was trying to calm the situation at all. After we left and they locked the door. I seen a black worker and the security guard handshake like what they just did was ok. In today's society stereotyped is not ok. The fact that no one tried to talk to us calmly to defuse the situation is the icing on the cake. To be treated like that was unacceptable. Our feelings were hurt to be perceived like we were the problem. Do better Addison improve do better. REFUND is definitely the right thing to do. read more

Awesome set of comedians and the wait staff was diligent for a sold out night. Few take aways before you go: Two drink minimum, as the norm. However, a double does count as 2, and the NA drinks count as 1. Everything is pricy, but not above most clubs. We didn't try the food, so can't speak on those. However, your little tables are crowded, so unless it's an app to share, it would be difficult to consume. For the show we went to, the "four top" table was $40, and the whole table for $80. If you only get the $40, be prepared to be up close and comfortable with strangers. Again, to squeeze every inch out of the place, the bathrooms are very small. No divider between the urinals so you can expect to rub shoulders. read more

Coming to the Improv tonight to celebrate my son's Bday... Sitting at a high top next to the DJ both... I was told to stop responding and to be quiet as I was interacting and responding as the "warm-up" comedian was asking for response to his comments. I have been at this club many times and NEVER had an issue BUT was treated as if I was an enemy tonight! If you make a reservation, don't sit anywhere near the DJ booth since they are ANTI improv. !!!!! I did ask to speak to the manager as He was equally an asshole as if this isn't an Improv comedy club! I get that I have a strong female voice... As I am a trainer of large groups of people daily...but didn't think or feel I was in a CHURCH vs an Interactive comedy club. read more
