Addison Improv let's just say my rating isn't on the Comics that come, I've throughly enjoyed the performances I've gone to see. This review is based on the food and drinks served which to me are overpriced, watered down. Catfish isn't real it's Swai fish and they charging you as if you don't know . Portion smalls all of the food comes out as if it was already precooked. It's required that you purchase a minimum of two items with an added 18% gratuity if the food and the drinks were actually worth it that would be okay. Again love the set up for the comedians and the venue itself, however food and drinks trash and the downside is you have to order two items

The food is always fresh and delicious. I absolutely love the servers. Today, Comedian Lisa Love opened for Comedian Derrick Cakley they were super hilarious, great timing abilities.

It was our first time here and we had a great time. We saw Gianmarco Soresi who was such a blast to see in person! The vibe is fun and it's very clean. Even the bathrooms, which was nice :) We paid for semi premium seating which I felt was worth the money. Attaching a photo of our view below. We ate before so we didn't have any food, but we ordered drinks. I got a standard margarita on the rocks and upgraded to 1800 tequila. To my surprise it was VERY good. They have a 2 item minimum per person (can be water or food, doesn't have to be alcohol) so I happily ordered another. Service was great too. No complaints, we are excited to return!

The food was okay. The soda was watered down and there are no free refills. They only offered bottle water. There is a 2 item purchase minimum per person. The seats are close together. You should arrive early in order to select a good seating area.

Had a wonderful experience at Addison Improv. Our server was very attentive and personable. We never had to look for him or ask another server for assistance. Food was great. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was. We appreciated being able to get preferred seating at the last minute.

Had tons of fun seeing Affion Crockett and other acts at the comedy club! The tables were spaced out with one another so you didn't feel on top of each other. My friend and I had an overall, enjoyable experience. As a heads up, try to get there early to order your food and drinks so you don't feel disturbed when the acts are performing because your waiter will come by and ask you. The venue feels/looks like a little outdated, but it looks like they do what they can. Many don't go to a comedy for aesthetics so this is not a big deal to me. Fees: You will have to pay an 18% service fee on top of your tab which does not cover tip. Like many clubs in NY for example, you have to order a 2 drink minimum here. Parking: Can get very busy (especially when leaving) so be sure to plan ahead prior to your show. The comedy club is located in a strip mall so there are spots available.

Solid first comedy club experience! Lighting and vibes were good. Tickets were easy to get, though know that there are service fees for tickets and a service charge for food inside. All staff was nice and overall it was a good time getting to watch some up and coming comedians. Got a table for 8 and was expecting it to be in the back but it was right by the side of the stage with a great view. I was confused seeing that it was one scan per ticket so I called, and they explained that the first person to get there gets the table number and everyone who comes later just tells staff the table number to get to their seat. I've heard the two item minimum is standard practice at similar venues/other comedy clubs so that's something else to note if you've never been to a show before. I'd be back for a comedian I knew but wouldn't go out of my way to see up and coming stand-up comics every week, but that's a personal preference.

The staff was great and our waitress was wonderful. My biggest complaint was that it was SO hot in the club. I don't really want to sit and watch a comedian while sweating. For $80 a seat you'd think they'd turn up the ac!

We bought a table for a show. Our server was polite. They have a two item purchase minimum. Arrive early to get the best seats, the layout of the room has one side extending further seating in the back.

Ask the Community - Addison Improv

I have a VIP for two and they are first come, first seated. How early should I get in line before the doors open?

They open the doors at 9:30 p.m. and there was already a line formed. I would say 30 min. The line is mixed with those who have general seating too. My husband and me literally arrived, waited in line, hadn't purchased tickets online, got out of…

Is there a dress code? Jeans and tennis shoes frowned upon?

Nah, jeans and tennis shoes are fine. It's pretty casual, and very dirty.

What is parking like? Is there a charge? Is there valet, and how much does that cost?

    Valet only. $5

This place has a similar live improv show that gets the crowd laughing. Arrive early to find parking. I think we were there at least 30 minutes to an hour before the show, and the lot only had about 3 very tight spots left. Street parking looked limited. If you were forced that route, you'll need time to drive around looking for a spot and then walking your way back to the theater. At least the building parking was free! I'm not sure if the building has an elevator. We climbed stairs to enter it. The ticket booth is just inside to the left at the top of the stairs. A staff and show member greeted us and explained how the show worked, since we were new here. Chairs were lined up in rows, but they have little tables between every two chairs. Great for setting down your drinks and also gives you a more intimate experience if you are there on a date. You can also move your seat around a bit to adjust for long legs or growing girth. The front two rows have red velvet 2-seater lounge couches. These plush luxury seating options look great until you find yourself called on to participate in the performance in some way. Just for the record, sitting further back doesn't guarantee you won't be included in the show in some unexpected way. Audience participation happened in a variety of ways. Before the show, you could write ideas on post it notes and stick them on their idea board. Additionally, you could jot down a phrase on an index card and place it in a fishbowl. These items were regularly exploited during the show requiring the actors to think on their feet. Bartenders can make cocktails and standard mixed drinks. Beer and wine are fast and simple. Surprisingly, they don't do margaritas here because they take too long to make and the line backs up. Eventually they hope to get a frozen margarita machine to make it easier. Food options are severely limited to items you might find at an independent theatre. There is a small container of premade popcorn that honestly isn't very satisfying. We also split some chocolate covered pretzels that appeared to be individually wrapped by a special retailer. I recommend eating prior to coming or at least have a decent healthy snack at home and then go out to eat afterwards. The show was fun! The actors had a lot of different scenarios that kept you entertained. Each sketch only lasted 10-15 minutes. If you were only mildly amused, you didn't have to wait long before they were throwing something new at you. I would definitely come back here and would recommend others check it out for a fun evening of laughs.

We arrived a bit early, so we grabbed a couple of drinks while waiting for the rest of our group. I ordered a double Tito's and cranberry--it was made perfectly and definitely hit the spot. Once we headed inside, it looked like seating was first-come, first-served, but we had opted for the VIP tickets. Having those reserved spots gave us a fantastic view of the stage; I highly recommend going the VIP route if you can! The show itself was top-tier. The openers had great sets that really warmed up the room, and then the "Queen" herself, Kelly Kells, took the stage. It has been a long time since I've laughed that hard! I was so grateful we chose this night to head out. In terms of the venue, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff was impressive--they were super on top of it and got our food and drink orders out to us quickly despite the crowd. I'd definitely come back for another show!

The setup is perfect for a night out--there's a cozy bar downstairs and the comedy space upstairs, which makes it feel intimate and lively without being cramped. We grabbed food and drinks at the show and everything was solid. The surf-bar-style menu had something for everyone--we had the hummus, chicken skewers, a burger, and even a hot tea. Great options whether you're snacking or eating a full meal. The show featured three comedians, and honestly, all of them were hilarious. Nonstop laughs the entire time. The show lasted a little over an hour, which was the perfect length--left us wanting more without dragging. Pricing was very reasonable, especially for the quality of the show, and I love that they offer multiple shows a day, so it's easy to fit into your schedule. Another big plus: the downstairs bar has a cozy lounge feel with comfortable seating, making it a great place to hang out if you arrive early or want to stay and chat afterward.
