The "magic parlor" is in a space on Exposition near Fair Park. There's street parking or a couple of paid lots if the street is full. The space is pretty small, but didn't feel cramped with 50 or so guests. I booked my ticket online for $20 through Prekindle. You can also pay another $10 to reserve seats in the front two rows. We strolled in and they checked us in. Seats were first come first serve so we were in the very back. My friend brought in his cooler of booze, but I also noticed there were a few free bottles of wine at the front and some bottle water. Very nice! David Jessup a local comedian opened the show and was the MC all night between acts with the help of Audrey Grace who opened and closed the curtains and held up the applause sign when David was bombing (haha). There were a couple of burlesque dancers at this show. One, Bethany Summersizzle, danced a few times. The other, Jai Le Bait did crazy stunts like swallow a knife! Confetti Eddie is the main performer and he reminded me of the old timey black and white movies where the folks didn't talk. He was so cute and charming. He did a few corny magic tricks that were still very fun to watch! Popper Zander was on hand this Friday night and played a few songs of her own that went well the night's burlesque/side show theme. Overall we had such a fun night. It's kind of awesome turning your cell phone off for an hour or so and enjoying a show with live performers. We saw the Fright Night act and had a great time…read more Prior to the show beginning we had the chance to watch two magicians perform - one who performed magic with rings and one who performed magic with cards. Both were very good and the tricks were fun. The venue is very intimate and had only seats 50 or so - which meant that virtually all of the audience had the chance to participate in the show at some point. The show itself had several acts along with two musical interludes from the Wild Natives (who were also quite good). Afterwards the performers invite the audience for drinks at one of the bars close by. We had a great time and would recommend it.

After another long wait (20min) they arrived Drink was great. bread pudding was cold w the ice cream melted. I think the pudding would have been great if it wasn't sitting out somewhere cooling off. It's a very intimate setting with not a single bad seat in the house. KDT has a small (donations recommended) bar with a few local beers. Side note...please don't be that person that takes a beer and doesn't bother to throw a few bucks in the jar. My wife and I would be more than willing to see another show here on our next visit to Dallas.

The theater is just a few minutes walking from my house, and I always pass it on my way to yoga. I finally made it to one of their Thursday night shows for the most recent production of Edward Albee's "The Goat/Who is Sylvia" (a wacky but sad story line involving a man's love affair with a goat). For those of you who don't know, Albee also wrote "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf." I was very pleased when i walked into the theater because it seemed to be a newly rennovated warehouse space with plenty of seating. Patrons were just hanging out and having wine and snacks in a little cafe area. There was an awesome art exhibit displayed with sculpures made of cigarette boxes and paintings, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the artist. It was just a cool space to hang out in before the show. A few minutes before show time, everyone lines up at the entrance of the theater. Once you get in, it's open seating. It's not very big (maybe 100 seats?) but almost every seat is a good one with no obstructions (ampitheatre style set up). The set design was surprisingly professional. The show was great, and you really get to feel the emotion (and this particular show was VERY emotional) becuase everyone is so close to the stage and the actors. I would just advise you to bring a coat or a sweater because the theater is chilly! I highly recommend this theater, particularly if you're into a more informal experience. You can walk in the day of the show and purchase a ticket, and the prices are right!

They volunteer their dancers and time to DISD Christmas productions. They are the only hispanic dance company that focus on all forms of dance not just traditional hispanic regions. Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop and more! I was so proud to have them at my Theatre performing for our show! Book them! They are worth it! The Management is flexible and so friendly! The Artist Director was a dancer for the largest Folklorico Dance company in Mexico and she's educated, smart. Graduated from Booker T. Washington Performing Arts High School. She and her Mosaic business partner know how to get the job done!

Prices at the bar were high as expected. I noticed that the seating on the balcony was very small and did not look as comfortable as I had imagined. I'm glad that I got GA pit tickets instead. Staff kept things organized and the crowd was chill. Only real downside: parking can be kind of rough. I just used uber/lyft. Overall though, great venue for intimate and small shows!
