Jessica is very personable and professional. I didn't end up pursuing work with her quote but…read morewanted to sing her praises about the quote process. I will keep her in mind for future projects. Clearly she's running a great business because she's booked out for several months, so my advice is to ask for your quote at least 6 months in advance of when you need the item. Jessica is very transparent about pricing and timelines. User-friendly software clearly displays the total line-by-line, and the total aligns well with other similar quotes I received. Jessica charges fitting fees to compensate for her time so that you can cross alterations asks off your list and bring down your total if you're happy with initial or minor changes. She is budget-conscious and wants to give you the best result for the lowest price. Jessica has a philosophy that she doesn't make decisions about your alterations but rather equips you with information for you to decide what aligns with your priorities. Jessica seems conscious and supportive of all body types and levels of modesty, for example when she explained options for potential bust cup alterations. Jessica helped me understand the alterations industry more broadly, including common pitfalls and bustle types. She gave business-related tips like getting quotes in writing and understanding fitting fees/guarantees for exclusive work prior to going to a business. Her personal choice is to vet clients over the phone first to ensure a good fit prior to bringing your garment to her. Others may have you in for a fitting before quoting or exchange just over email. I learned so much from her over one phone call and loved her genuine communication style. I initially got her name from a local seamstress based on the type of garment I had. I'm not surprised Jessica has a great local reputation among peers in the Nashville area!

I showed them pictures, purchase history, etc, and the workers continued to manipulate me to believe I never brought them in by saying, "We do not have those and you never brought them in." I get a call from them a day later saying, "We have your straps actually, they were in the trash." I was not discounted for any of this. In fact, the price was incredibly lofty in my opinion. I never leave reviews, but my experience was bad enough for me to never return, and I hope this review leads you to consider other options than this business. Extremely unprofessional.

Best people! Best place! Come here!…read more Incredibly thankful and amazed at the kindness, quick and detailed service I received while getting my wedding dress altered and fitted. Instantly, Linda and her team were welcoming and helpful and committed to helping me save money throughout this process.. So we moved through possible fixes to ensure they were just altering what I needed. They worked so fast and beautifully. In a day of panic where a nearby cleaners service ripped my dress--on a Monday when they are closed, Linda happened to be there (thank you, Jesus!) and hugged me as I cried of stress over this rip. She said we could fix it in just 2 mins. And she did! It was the biggest gift and they made this process so easy, relaxed, and fun. Now I can get married and feel great in this beautifully altered dress!

Damaged and overcharged…read more First off, I've been using GHS for years now and have loved them but something has changed. Was told that a pair of elastic in some shorts would be $15, upon pickup was charge $36. She claimed she never gave me a price...not true. Then upon inspection, someone stuck a pin in the silk shorts creating a hole that was attempted to be remedied by steaming it. The hole now sags and looks like a pull. The entire band is sloppy and the elastic already popped. Asking them to remedy the situation was almost comical, staring at a customer blankly is not a suitable response to any issues. I strongly caution anyone taking their garments there unless you prefer to be treated oddly and overcharged for a potentially damaged item.

OK, so I'm exaggerating a little, but she will put the original hem back in my jeans so they don't look "hemmed". And always leaves them a bit on the longer side to make me look not so vertically challenged! She is a miracle worker when it comes to altering ANYTHING. And not terribly expensive either! I have never had her custom make anything, but I do know she works for several celebrities...namely, Dolly Parton! Yes, rumor has it she custom makes some of her outfits. Now, if the girl can sew for Dolly, then she can sew for me! She gets all 5 stars, although it is sometimes difficult to get in to see her. She works with so many stars, she is always working around tour schedules and photo shoots, but I tell you the wait is worth it.
