A day before a planned trip to Washington, D.C. I learned that the length of my son's pants were several inches too long. Having known about Master Tailor of Vero from my daily drive to work, I called to inquire about expedited services. I was advised to drop the pants off "as soon as possible" by Zhanna. Not having to depend on the length that I determined sufficient for my son, I simply took him with me for a proper fitting. I needed two dresses hemmed. One dress I was having hemmed shorter, the hem already came loose so…read moreI pinned it and all she needed to do was shorten it at the hem line I pinned for her. The second dress had a pattern of black white and pink color stripes sewn together to make the stripped pattern. Both dresses are Tommy Hilf. I had the section of white removed from the bottom hem line so the two black hems can be combined which shortened the dress to the exact length I needed. Both dress are the same designer and were being hemmed same length. She had a whole week and asked me to return on a Monday. I returned on a Tuesday only to find out she didn't remember where she put the dresses, didn't remember me and was almost sure I didn't drop them off. Once she found the dresses we went over the instructions once again. I was forgiving given the Covid situation thinking she is a private business owner and I want to be a contributor to the small businesses in my community. She said it would be ready on Thursday. I arrived on Thursday to find that She still wasn't finished with the dresses. She said she could finish the second one real quick which was actually the first one that needed a shortened hem line. I went to load the dresses in the car after waiting 10 minutes and realized the first dress was not hemmed correctly and when i went in she began to argue with me and raised her voice to a yelling pitch. I was like are you yelling at me? She was telling me that that is how I pinned it. I was like no it is not and then I asked her about the stitching. The stitching was not the same quality as the dress stitching. It was a loose type stitch and I asked her if it would hold up because it appeared like the slightest thing could tear it out. I paid $20.00 for the hemming and $28.00 for the complicated removal of material and stitch of the other dress. 48.00 for two dresses. Well today the stitch on the complicated dress is coming loose and this is the second time I am wearing it. Terrible service and no respect or care to keep a customer that would rather support a small business owner than farm out business to larger retailers. I will not return to her shop ever again for business. But I will stop by to show her that her work is coming apart and that due to my experience with her services I can not return as a customer and I can not recommend her to anyone I know.
