The material was never cut and sewn, just bunched together and sewn and done so poorly. Thankfully I found another seamstress, but this should have never happened.

The…read moredress we brought was a simple black floor-length gown with a slit--something that could easily be worn to prom, as a bridesmaid dress, or to a cocktail event. Based on the shop's own description of handling "formalwear," we believed it would qualify. At the entrance, a sign stated the shop was by appointment only and for bridal and formalwear. Since we were already there, we stepped inside to confirm and possibly set up an appointment. Inside, the woman (presumably Maria) was sitting on her phone. She stood up when we walked in, and after we asked about the dress, her response was simply "no." There was no explanation, no apology, and no effort to help point us in a better direction. The interaction was short, dismissive, and left us feeling unwelcome. To be clear--the problem was not that the shop has limits on what it will alter. That is understandable. The problem was how it was handled. A professional response could have been as simple as, "I'm sorry, we only take bridal gowns, but you might try this other tailor." Instead, there was no kindness, no helpfulness, and no effort to provide good service. While older reviews may praise the quality of the work, our experience suggests customer service is lacking. If you are considering this shop for an important dress, especially something sentimental like a wedding gown or prom dress, think carefully before booking. Professionalism and respect are just as important as skill, and unfortunately, that was not what we experienced here.

My mother of the bride dress was not ready until late afternoon the day before the wedding; at that point I was busy getting ready for the rehearsal dinner and did not have time to pick up the dress. The morning of the wedding my husband had to pick it up. All I can say is at least I had a dress to wear. The dress was wrinkled, dirty, seams not lined up and a detachable overskirt that I had to pin because the hooks did not line up correctly. Fortunately I had someone at my house that morning that was able to camouflage all the defects. My younger daughter's bridesmaid dress was given to me days before the wedding and it too was wrinkled and dirty. I barely had time to take it to the dry cleaners and back in time for the wedding. This woman is a charlatan, a thief and a liar. I hope I can prevent anyone else from going through the horrible experience that I lived through. If anyone mentions Silviya Milan please run the opposite direction as fast as you can.

I went to see Miss Sylvia to have my wedding dress fitted properly and perhaps and some…read moreembellishments. I also took my step daughter who's also my flower girl to have her dress altered and changed just a bit. I change I mean moving above from the back to the front. I paid $100 for my dress and less than 50 for my flower girls and spent $304 in alterations, which I paid in full on the spot. After reviewing her handwritten invoice I had to have her decipher a lot of it as well as I had to have her take off $75 embellishment that I could have gotten on Amazon for $15, not only that there were things on her ticket that I couldn't read that was ineligible and that I did not remember having her quote me on. When I brought all this to her attention she mentioned to me that it would be $30 an hour to come back for anything new. So we went back oh, she had made my dress too tight it wouldn't even zip and and the flower girls dress was perfect. So I had to come back again for her to fix her mistake of taking in too much and she have the dress ready within 24 hours. I did try it on before I left and it did fit good however I did not look at the actual stitching she had done or any of that because I was in a little bit of a hurry and so is she she was going out of the country. So fast forward 2 weeks and I put my dress on just to make sure it fit Stihl and the stitching she had put on the waistline I guess to add boning was completely disarray and coming out. I sent her numerous pictures and she pretty much told me that it was fine when I left but I could bring it in for another fitting. at this point I was a week away from my wedding and frustrated and did not want to spend any more money on this woman because I was already told that I got ripped off by paying so much money to her she did give me a $50 refund which was not enough for her what she took off but I just let it go. I definitely would not recommend anybody getting married to go to this lady she was super nice at first but as soon as you have problems she is combative and makes it seem like it's your fault this is not the kind of person we need when we are stressing out already about a marriage. Unfortunately I would never use this person again unless she was to call me and make it right with me.
