Our hotel recommended it, and thankfully we made reservations through OpenTable because on a Friday night the restaurant was packed with locals, always a great sign. The menu celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients and the chef's passion really shines through. I ordered the summer tasting menu. The gazpacho had just been replaced with a beautiful beet salad topped with perfectly fried goat cheese. My rump steak was cooked exactly medium, tender and full of flavor, served with delicious fingerling potatoes, bacon, eggplant, squash, and other seasonal vegetables. My son thoroughly enjoyed the salmon with fresh pasta and pesto. My husband ordered the schnitzel, which was the only dish that didn't quite reach the same exceptional standard as everything else. We paired dinner with excellent local Mosel wines and a perfectly poured Bitburger on tap. Dessert was a wonderful surprise: Mosel dessert wines served alongside panna cotta with local blueberry jam, a light and refreshing finish to the meal. Service follows the European pace, so don't expect to rush through dinner, but that's part of the experience. Relax, enjoy another glass of wine, and savor the evening. Neos isn't easy to find, but that's part of its charm. I'd happily return on my next visit. It's exactly the kind of hidden gem that makes traveling so memorable.
