Buba LLC turned our disaster into practically a new home…read more When we discovered we had a major slab leak in our home that required all new plumbing to be installed, I cried when I saw all of the holes in the walls, the floors and ceilings. To make matters worse, my insurance company was moving so slowly. The minute I met Gary at Buba LLC, my stress levels began to settle. He started immediately and assured me they would bring everything back to the way it was before the leak--a tall order considering the state of the house. Despite continuing delays with insurance, LLC had mold remediation completed, holes expertly repaired, stucco patched, flooring repaired, wallpaper and paint all done swiftly and perfectly. They even added an access door where there previously was none to make access to plumbing and electrical easier in the future. Finally all was professionally cleaned so that not a spec of dust was left. I will only trust Buba LLC for future repairs and remodeling.

REPAIR AND REPAINT EXTERIOR WINDOW CASEMENTS VEBA builders…read morewere contracted by our HOA to do extensive exterior work including new stucco, painting of entire exterior, resurfacing/waterproofing roof and repainting all ironwork gates, balcony rails and front doors. I have a floor-through apartment with 26 windows 5'h x 2' w. Three weeks before Veba began work I contracted (outside HOA) Precision P Pulse to repair deteriorated external sills with bond and then prime and prime and paint. Less than a month later the paint had started to bubble. When Veba began their contract they covered the windows with plastic to protects them before they power washed the stucco. After the power-wash stucco needed patching and attention was paid to being certain all windows were sealed properly before the stucco was primed and then painted. Several windows on upper floors were replaced and termites were found in the sills and other parts of window frames. When the stucco work was done, my windows were uncovered and I discovered most would not open. I contracted Veba to paint the edges of the window which had not been painted by PPP. They also discovered termites in most of my window frames which had been painted over. Veba systematically checked the frames for termites and removed all infested pieces and replaced them. They shaved the bottoms of the windows that had been stuck shut and then primed and later painted all the interior edges of the windows and the frames which were raw wood (never painted since 1996!). Between primer coats and paint coats they kept my windows open. When all painting was done all the windows were left open 48 hours and then a final open and close was done to be sure they were fully functional. Veba was easy to communicate with and everything was done according to the procedural timetable and using the exact materials and paints promised. The rates were fair and reasonable compared to most franchised painters. Veba's painters themselves were skilled and experienced. No novices on their team. They took great care to mask before painting and used drop cloths under snd around the scaffolding and shielded stonework on balconies when painting wrought-iron . Workers arrived shortly after 7:00 a.m. to prep for 8:00 workday. The workers kept the site clean and neat and tried to minimize noise to mid-day. All procedures were communicated well in advance to avoid interfering with our daily access. Private companies are inevitably BETTER THAN FRANCHISES where estimators are not responsible for QC.. Veba did an excellent job correcting the omissions and termites ignored by PPP. Management organization, communication, transparency, procedures and completion milestones and project completion reviews were all done impeccably timely, and reliably. The owner was always quick to respond to any questions and came on site daily or as needed. . VEBA is a rarity. Five stars!

This has been by far my greatest experience working with any Contractor in my lifetime. Solomon delivered on all of his promises and now I have a wonderful studio to work in. At the onset of the project I was told the job would be completed in less than 20 days and it only took 6 days for them to complete!. The team was very organized and Solomon's communication skills are beyond reproach. He and his team are very professional, knowledgeable and hard working. Solomon stayed on target with his quote and there were no changes in cost throughout. His quote was right on target with what I'd hoped to pay for this project. Extremely fair and right in my budget. I would recommend J & I Home Design to anyone looking for a very honest and qualified builder. A++ in all aspects of my project!

Honest My wife found…read moreSolomon on Yelp. This will be long because I think it's important to get an insight into our journey. Solomon's commitment, professional insight, meticulous attention, and hands on approach during the planning and execution has been invaluable to us. While he will execute your vision, he would also provide his own insight to help us think through any considerations as to why or why we shouldn't do something. Whether it was just not worth the cost, add value to our home/lifestyle or a find potential alternative/balance. The statement of work he provides is fully laid out and he explains line by line to ensure we're on the same page. Payments were scheduled for specific milestones. This was our first major remodel endeavor, so quite an exciting and scary process considering the potential investment and living adjustment during the process. We initially reached out to Solomon regarding adding square footage to our home. A 4' bump forward, adding an additional bedroom, and bumping the back of our house for a new kitchen. He was very clear up front of the overall process, timeline and expectations to ensure we knew the order of sequence of how the project would roll out. He spent a good 6 months with us during the planning and design phase, from engineering, blueprinting and permitting. We also visited some of his previous customers and talked to his customers and they all shared the same sentiment of his approach and quality of work. While we did not end up moving forward with the remodel, as we decided to purchase a new home, we did however need to get our home rent ready. This included a new roof, new gutters, stucco, paint exterior, retaining planter wall, new porch and backyard deck. Without question we stuck with Solomon and he was more than happy to work with us, while a smaller scope of work it was still quite a lot of moving parts. All while also re-leveling and tiling my mother in law's balcony. It's important to understand that any significant project requires a partnership and open communication. Bumps are expected but the open communication we had was all it took to make sure both parties were on the same page. It's also important to note that it's also my responsibility as the customer to be available and respond in a timely manner to ensure his teams stayed the course as key decision points. The end result was exactly as we expected. While we continue to search for a new house, we are now leveraging Solomon's expertise and he's assisting us in vetting houses that we may be interested in to ensure it's a sound investment I without a doubt highly recommend Solomon for any project you may have in the pipeline.
