I researched where to take my daughter's car for window tinting and was ready to make an appointment at another shop when I discovered their phone had been disconnected. I looked further and compared four shops on Yelp before choosing Alta Mere in Plano. I was impressed with the large number of great reviews they had and the level of courtesy and professionalism they had by phone and online messaging through Yelp. Boy did they do a great job! Randy and Sean were both so professional and friendly from start to finish, and the price was very reasonable. I feel good about the quality of work Alta Mere did for us and highly recommend them! read more

Once again Alta Mere has come through! This is the fifth car that I've had my windows tinted by this company and I was a little leery when they changed some time ago but needless to say they have done exceptional job. Keep up the good work! And I will definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs their windows tinted. read more

Great job!! Got me right in and out. Window tint is wonderful!! Price was good and their space was clean.

I called this morning to schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in today. They did an excellent job. The windows look great. They are very efficient, courteous and professional AND they offer senior and military discounts (5%). I highly recommend this company for your window tinting needs. read more

Great place for auto window tinting! My 2 front windows of my Tucson Hyundai were tinted within 30 minutes. The salesman was very nice and thorough with explaining my coverage of tint purchased. Would highly recommend! read more

I took my 2013 Toyota Corolla in and Randy and his team did an Amazing job. Truly flawless work. He explained all options that were available. You can tell he wants what is best for his customers. I am very happy with the service and 100% recommend this business! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about about the service at Alta Mere. Sean has tinted 3 cars for me and has done a fantastic job with each one. Workmanship is top notch and price is tough to beat. Calling and scheduling an appointment is a breeze, and Sean has always been spot on with how long it will take to complete a job. Anyone who hasn't thought about tinting the windshield, talk to Alta Mere... the difference is night and day in the Texas heat! I definitely recommend Alta Mere to my friends and family. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with Sean and Alta Mere when they tinted my minivan. Pricing is very competitive, service was excellent and product offer is top quality. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. read more

Alta Mere - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Plano, Texas

Their signs and website would make you believe that you could buy audio systems from them and have them installed, but not so fast. They don't carry any equipment in store, but if you buy a system somewhere else, they can install it for you. Kinda misleading in my opinion and a waste of time that they don't share with potential customers. read more

My car was broken into with my passenger window gone. I needed to tint the windows again and these guys were great. Super helpful and walked through everything. Service was top notch and I'll be taking my car here for all my future tints. Work was also beautiful. read more

Very straightforward and honest with what packages get you what results. Love love love the results so far. Sean was VERY helpful and customer centric in showing which levels look like on a real application. Service only took 1.5 hours/2 hours max. I went on the middle of the weekday. read more

Had Front 2 truck windows tinted. Lifetime warrantee darkest legal tint $135 out the door. 2017 2500HD Duramax Silverado They computer cut window tint and it's shows. Flawless job! I've paid $50-$75 before for the same job. However, in comparison jobs have been pretty sad. Worth every penny! Will do business with again. read more

Alta Mere - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Plano, Texas

Randy took great care of me and the car! Results came out great! Communication was excellent before and during the purchase/installation process! Opted for the ceramic film, all around (Madico) even on windshield (Llumar)! Temperatures are a lot lower already, felling a big difference! Have not found any flaws in the tint film yet! Did not see a small notice in the lower part of the front windows like many other tint companies have, stating who the company installing the film is, and that the film follows local regulations/laws. Do not know if this matters however! Very happy with the results so far! read more

Great customer service, top of the line quality work, and fair prices. Highly recommend!

Excellent product and customer service! Quick to respond and very nice owner. Would highly recommend!

Updated rating from 5 stars to 3. This review is not based on a product issue or warranty gripe. This review update is based on poor communication and customer service from Alta Mere. I am not happy with the recent communication from Alta Mere on scheduling a tint install online. Their communication has unfortunately been assumptive and self serving so I caution anyone communicating through their online scheduling system as there can be random cancellations and inaccurate reply times in messaging. That, in combination with the assertion the customer is wrong and a refusal to make it right has led me to no longer do business with Alta Mere. It's unfortunate given how great they were in 2015 with my last car and install. Their installers and products are top notch but they may not think of you as a person but more of an hourly rate in their communications. read more

Had my VW SUV and Audi sedan tinted by these guys. Super professional, humble, and punctual with their appointments. Highly recommended and get the ceramic tint, it's worth it!!! read more

Randy is awesome. Called and made an appointment for the following morning and the car was tinted and done in a couple of hours. However, after the car was done, I noticed all 4 window moldings on the outside had clamp marks. I brought it to Randy's attention and without hesitation, he offered to make the situation correct by replacing the moldings for me. That's business done right in my books. Randy earned a lifetime customer with me. Great job, great service, and great product. Thanks Randy! read more

Great quality for the windshield and all around window tint, and expecting lots of energy saving.

Came in for a subwoofer installation. Excellent customer service from Randy. Great price compared to other nearby businesses. Professional quality work. Would do business again. read more

These guys do a great job! They're super quick and do top notch work. I got my windows tinted on my vehicle.

Very professional and quality work I took my 1969 GTO and it looks perfect. I had my windows tinted and they turned out gorgeous!

Called and got tinted same day. Super professional. Great work! Highly recommend. Doesn't try to up sell the product which I liked!

Got my window tinted gave me an amazing price for all of them. They did it within a few hours. Also explained to me the different type and share to help me pick the best one for my vehicle read more

I've had several work vehicles and personal vehicles tinted here. This place is a little gem in a strip center of automotive repair. They use high quality tint that lasts!! I've seen too many cheap tint jobs fall short after a year. These guys will do a great job for you and make your vehicle look awesome. read more

This staff did exactly what I asked them to do, which was to give me Bluetooth in an older Lexus, and they were fast and efficient.

Very professional, very helpful. I had a minor problem with my car and instead of charging an exorbitant price like most audio guys I talked to, Randy and his crew gave me a very reasonable quote, fixed it up and sent me my way. Would definitely recommend again. read more

This place is great. I was recommended another place by my dealership after buying a new car, but did some research and decided to go with these guys instead. I am so glad I did. The staff is are friendly & professional (Randy) and do great work as well. They were able to get me in the same day I called! The process was quick & my tints look great. (In addition, my they have a lifetime warranty) I've gotten endless comments since Alta Mere took care of my tinting needs. I recommend doing business with these guys! read more

Nothing short of unbelievable! They took my car at the exact time of our appointment, and completed the work in the exact time they quoted (2 hours.) Dave and Randy took extra extra time to walk me through all the different types of tints and options. They might be a little more expensive, but that is only because they use the nicest materials. Definitely check out the heatbox in the office, to see which tint you want to use. Don't be called off by the shopping center it is in....you don't find this level of service ANYWHERE anymore. The tint looks perfect, no bubbles or issues at all. Though i will be sure to update in a few months if that changes. Dave and Randy took extra extra good care of me, as i am sure they do all customers. He even called me back a couple days later to ensure that everything was good. I will recommend everyone who asks about tints to this place. I would have given them 6 stars. -David read more

This is the third vehicle I have had Alta Mere do. I have been pleased with all three tint jobs. The workmanship lasts and looks great. Thanks again for the new tint on my new car! read more

Absolutely flawless tint job! Called around 0900 and set up a 12:30 appointment. Arrived at 12:30, Randy throughly explained my options and prices. Hung out with the guard dog, Phoenix, in the waiting room for a few minutes before walking down the way for some lunch. Came back and my tint job was done. Randy had me inspect the work in his presence which of course was performed with old fashioned skill and precision. Will be back in the future for sure. read more

I don't think I've ever seen a place on Yelp or elsewhere with more than 10 reviews and nothing under 4 stars. I can tell you it's deserved. I made an appointment to get my new Dodge Charger tinted. I walked in on a Tuesday after work, they explained all their options and what I could do & keep everything legal. I also wanted some tint over the AS1 line on the windshield. He quoted me the exact price I paid out the door, tax included without me even asking. I got the midgrade 35% tint on all windows, and tint on the windshield over the AS1 line. I brought it in Saturday, it was a little under 2 hours to finish. The waiting room has extra comfortable couches, free WiFi, magazines, TV, everything to make the wait go nice and fast. One thing I very much appreciated was the extremely professional atmosphere. One thing I've always hated when coming in contact with shops in the auto industry, weather its a dealership or a small shop, is the hooting and hollering and treating the cars like they're rentals, revving engines, haphazard handling. This place was the first time I saw a car treated like a grandma was driving it. No unnecessary revving or whipping around corners. There were two doors open into the room where they tinted the cars, it was quiet with just normal level of talking & some music. Everyone was doing their job, not like robots but just focused on the task and working hard with attention to detail. The tint job was excellent, I was explained my warranty & not to roll down windows, what to expect, etc. Everything was smooth & applied well. I was surprised how stylish they made the tint strip on the windshield. They made it with 5% limo tint, and had it concave to create a really cool look instead of plain straight across. I think I paid a little extra for a good job, but I'd say it was worth every penny. If I ever need any alarm or audio work or other cars need to be tinted, Alta Mere Plano will be first in mind. read more

After the nightmare of dealing with Honda Cars of McKinney (please go see my review of them with pictures), a friend recommended that I take my car here. The overwhelmingly positive reviews here on Yelp also helped. Came in and spoke with Randy who went over the types of tint they offer, warranties, quality, etc. Straightforward and no BS, my kind of businessman. I called back later the same day and made an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived the next morning, I met with Randy, who apologized and informed me that they were out of the tint I wanted and that they were waiting for a shipment to come in. We rescheduled and he promised to knock some money off. People who run their own businesses, pay attention: apologize for your customer's inconvenience and try and make it right with them. I can't even be mad or upset, especially given that it was out of their control. The next day, Dave (who I think is the owner?) called me and told me once again, their shipment still hadn't come in and that if I rescheduled again - they'd knock some more money off. At this point I had already had to reschedule a few other appointments, it was a bit of an inconvenience...but again, offer to make it right, give me a discount...anyone reasonable can't even be mad about it. Dropped my car off finally and they stripped the terrible tint that Honda Cars of McKinney had put on and tinted it again with their superior quality film. As far as I can tell it looks fantastic, there are a couple of imperfections here and there, like maybe 2 or 3 places on the entire car. Honestly at this point I'm so tired of dealing with car tint that I can live with it, it's minor. Nowhere CLOSE to how bad it looked after Honda Cars of McKinney attempted to tint my car (3 times). Good customer service, owner and manager immediately tries to make things right with the customer. Good quality film and workmanship. Competitive pricing. I paid for lifetime warranty with my tint but hopefully I won't need it any time soon. I'd recommend this shop to anyone. Overall I'm pretty happy. Overwhelmingly positive reviews online may seem fishy to some people but I assure you these guys deserve all the stars. **update*** Went back a few weeks ago to have them look at an air bubble near the edge of my front passenger side window. Randy remembered me, came out immediately to examine the problem. He fixed it in literally 30 seconds. I really can't say enough good things about their customer service. read more

Great service. Had accidentally got the wrong film put on and he had me come back and fix it that day. Would recommend

Wonderful service, no hard sell, just real down to earth honest guys. I've had Alta Mere do both my wifes and my car...if I had another one, I'd know where to go. Job took less than 30 mins, top class quality, and lifetime warranty...if only everything related to automobiles was this way! read more

I refuse to take my car back to Toyota of Dallas to fix an issue with window tint as their service reputation is as bad as they come. Figured I would rather pay to have repair done than have my car damaged or deal with inept and dishonest car dealership. Well, in a matter of a few minutes, Dave looks at the problem, whips out his razor and with quick precision simply carves out the problem at no cost to me. Now I can open/close window without hearing crinkling noise and now it isn't bothering me enough visually or otherwise to pay for tint replacement. Wow. I'll be recommending him and taking my daughter's car to him since she wants darker tint. read more

Went this morning to have my latest vehicle, a BMW 528i have the 2 front windows tinted. I had emailed Randy earler in the week to see if they had any special offers on window tinting and he had mentioned there was a $40 off special with SolarGenics Signal II tint. Being a previous customer, he explained to me what type of tint I went with on my previous vehicle (ProShield), but this time I wanted a bit of a darker tint as my car is triple black. Randy showed me the types of tint film he had available, which made my decision much easier once I saw how they would look on my car. I made an appointment, and even though I was slightly late due to traffic, They took exceptional care of me (even recommended a place to eat nearby since I was starving and I figured I'd grab a bite while my car was worked on). My car was clean and ready to go once I came back, with execptional service from him and his staff as always. Best part was when I was able to meet/pet his dog Phoenix while I waited briefly. Cherry on top was that Randy threw in an air freshener too! Needless to say, Alta Mere has my business for life. I know several other people who have older tint on their cars (or possibly cheap tint) that looks bubblely or purplish or just faded who I will highly recommend they take their business to him. He also offers a military discount for veterans and active duty. I am a proud, repeat customer of his, and will take any cars I may own in the future that do not have window tint, or poor quality tint as their stuff, like the way they treat their customers, is TOP NOTCH. read more
