It's been about a week or two since I had my new car tinted at Alta Mere. I purchased the highest level package with the highest IR and UV rating. I have been running my air conditioner on the lowest setting which keeps my vehicle cool and comfortable even though it is very hot outside. I am very pleased with the results. Prior to this installation I had to run the air near high quite often to cool down the interior. Thanks so much for installing this tint on my car. Will be back with my next car purchase to get the same great service again. read more

Alta Mere in Plano Literally Saved Our Lives -- Forever Grateful Back in 2019, I brought my vehicle to Alta Mere in Plano for a clear front windshield tint. I never imagined that a routine upgrade would one day make the difference between life and death, for both myself and my daughter. Fast forward to 2025. While driving northbound on Highway 75, two vehicles were racing southbound. One lost control, crossed five lanes, and slammed into the center median. The impact shattered the concrete barrier, sending massive chunks of debris and twisted vehicle parts hurtling into oncoming traffic, directly at us. Our vehicle was struck multiple times. Concrete boulders and flying metal slammed into the windshield. But thanks to the clear tint Alta Mere installed years earlier, the glass held. It didn't shatter. It didn't send shards into our faces. And those deadly projectiles didn't make it into the cabin. Without question, that tint saved our lives. Today, we returned to Alta Mere to have another clear windshield tint installed. Walking back into that shop felt like coming full circle. It wasn't just a purchase -- it was a heartfelt "thank you" to a team whose work quite literally protected my family when it mattered most. Alta Mere, thank you for your quality, your service, and for unknowingly giving us the gift of safety. You have customers for life. read more

I'd done lengthy, months long research on where I could get my vehicle re-tinted and decided on getting it done with Alta Mere. Scheduling my appointment was smooth and I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to book an appointment the same week. The day of my appointment i was helped by Emma who had excellent customer service. Emma thoroughly explained the tint levels, results and pricing and lastly let me know of the lifetime warranty on the tint which i was pleased about. Unfortunately, I was unable to get all windows tinted because I was unaware one of my passenger windows no longer rolled down but Emma advised they would gladly tint it once I got it fixed and they did just that. So now all my windows are tinted and weeks later I noticed an area on my back window was peeling and bubbling; I allowed the recommend time to pass to see if it would fix itself but when it didn't i called back and set an appointment right away to have the spot looked over. During my time there Elmer asisted me and he also had excellent customer service, he came out and looked at my car and explained a plastic piece located on my back window cause the tint to push back but they would get me right and redo it. When my vehicle was done, Elmer explained they worked the plastic in a way to ensure it doesn't mess my back window tint up again. I admittedly was not thrilled about having to go back a third time but everyone i interacted with was kind, they were happy to assist me and I really appreciated how they made it so my tint would hold up on my back window. Most importantly, I'm very pleased with the work itself that was done. I noticed an immediate difference in the heat levels in my car and they look good also, no more unsightly bubbles! I absolutely recommend Alta Mere for anyone wanting quality tinting. read more

These guys are a perfect 10 out of 10--every single time! This is the second Tesla I've brought to them. The first was a Model Y, and they did an immaculate job. The second was a Tesla Cybertruck, which has to be one of the hardest vehicles to tint--but you can't even tell the difference between their work and the factory tint! They could've easily overcharged me for the Cybertruck, but they stayed completely honest. They tinted the two front side windows and the pillar windows for a very reasonable price. There's a reason this place has nothing but 5-star reviews. Their pricing is fair, their work is flawless, and they offer a lifetime warranty. And shoutout to the receptionist--she's an absolute sweetheart! read more

I requested some quotes through Yelp to tint my newly purchased BMW 430i. I also used Google as another platform to read reviews. I live in Forney, but the distance variable didn't play a part in which business I selected. Sean from Alta Mere, in Plano, was one of the first representatives, in the tinting business, to respond with quotes in a very timely manner. I followed up with a phone call to make sure I understood everything correctly, and Sean's friendly, eager, customer oriented demeanor played a major factor in choosing Alta Mere to do the ceramic tint application. The other extremely important factor in my decision was the highly impressive reviews about the highly detailed and skilled technician Elmer; the outstanding excellence in his performance and his dedication and pride in using only top of the line products made my decision easy. I am grateful for the excellent work done on my BMW in such an amazingly efficient timeframe; the quality job performed not only served a functional purpose of blocking heat (thus, protecting my car) I but it also added a touch of class! The price was beyond commensurate with the competition; pricing was by far superior and as stated earlier the high standard of the product is exceptional which is backed by a lifetime guarantee. I am beyond impressed with the whole experience; I will forever be an avid customer and referral for this extraordinary company. read more

Super professional. Fast quote from Yelp, price was lower for sedan (was quoted SUV price). I had all 4 windows and sunroof done on Sat, they were finished before they promised. Quote was fast, quality materials, expert workmanship, reasonable and handled my questions and back/forth decisioning with ease. They were happy to show me all the options. I chose the ceramic 80%+ option (the middle option), as my car is now 6 years old , the latest or greatest wasn't necessary. No pressure on choice or down sell choice either. Highly recommend. Great experience from start to finish. read more

Car Tinting service, High quality, accurate quotes, fast service . Great value. Will give it couple of days for the dry process. But it looks good now read more

Great professional service! Will be going back to get front window done soon. I have recommended this business to friends and family.

Great Job! Got 30% Xpel Ceramic on all windows and sunroof on my 2024 GTI. Giving a try with 80% on windshield as well. It's early in the spring, but I can already feel the difference with heat. I love the lighter tint that I chose (I like to be able to see into the car) but they would do it darker as well. They were fast, competitively priced, and seemed to treat my car as I would. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Great team here, got me out sooner than expected so speedy service as well. Everything is very high quality.

Called in and was quoted 500 plus tax for side windows and rear window. I arrive, they still say 500, I sign a paper with that amount and then as I'm in the uber they call and say oh it's an additional $150 to remove the rear window tint and the two (tiny) back windows. (All 4 side windows were clear) Mind you, no one checked the car prior to me leaving the lot. I had already spent money on an uber and that's when they hit me with the additional charge. Book if you don't mind surprise charges! read more

They did a great job installing heat blocking film on my car. Everything went as scheduled and they gave great advice

They did a fabulous job with the tint on my car. I dropped off the car early in the morning and by noon they had it ready to go. It took three days to get every microscopic bubble out, which is natural. And I can say I am very happy with the service, quality, location and overall experience. read more

I was in the market for a premium window tint for my Sierra 1500. I wanted either Xpel XR Plus or Llumar FormulaOne Stratos. I spoke to Sean @ Alta Mere & secured the price for the Xpel & headed right over. He handled the installation right away & was done in no time. From what I read Xpel has a slightly better heat rejection & for the price it was an excellent value over the quote I received for the Llumar Stratos. Thank you everyone @ Alta Mere for the great service received today! read more

This place was so good I had to recommend it twice. Elmer and Sean were the two I spoke with, and I'm very pleased with the job they did. My car used to get uncomfortably hot during the Texas summers, so I opted for the XR ceramic tint. Now, it's bearable to sit inside. All the tint comes with lifetime warranty too so if you have any issues you'll be taken care of. read more

Brought our vehicle in for tint. The service rep was very knowledgeable, amicable and personable. I like their presentation they do in their waiting room which allows you to visualize the product and see the difference once the tint is on. They use a rotating device that has a heat light bulb and they explain show and tell. Was and am very happy to have taken my car here. Highly recommend. We invested close to $1,000.00 in tint with high quality and great ser ice. Worth every penny as we recently got back from a 10 day road trip to the Midwest and it was a wonderful experience. read more

Customer service, authenticity and workmanship are all the words that come to mind when bringing my cars to Alta Mere! Randy and Sean are fantastic people and genuinely as down to earth as they come. I brought another one of my cars to get tinted today and everything came out matching so close to OEM tint like my last car. The only difference today is I got to meet Phoenix! One of the sweetest puppies in the world and a great ambassador to the shop! Then again I did have my breakfast on the table so that's probably how I attract all the puppies to me in the morning. Haha! Bring your car here and trust Randy, Sean and the team at Alta Mere to take care of you! I wondered how I could follow up a 5 star review and I figured it out: Write another 5 star review! Alta Mere - Remember to follow these rules after you get your car tinted! - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Plano, Texas

I went to Alta Mere for after-market tinting on my new RAV4 Prime PHEV. I chose them because of positive user reviews, evidence of responsive management, and customer photos showing that they're used to dealing with cars even more expensive and precious than mine. My overall experience was excellent. I wrote ahead to get an estimate, and Sean responded with a detailed quote, and advice for expediting service (appointments welcome, but call ahead for real-time availability). I brought my car in on a Saturday morning, and it was finished just a few hours later. I didn't really know what style and darkness to pick, but Alta Mere talked me through the options. I chose the premium ceramic tinting, and was not disappointed. It feels incredibly cooler inside, and a UV detector key fob shows that it's almost completely curtailing UV radiation (my main concern, due to family history of skin cancer). It also looks slick and luxurious from the outside, and my night vision is still surprisingly clear. Something worth noting is that my car did experience a collateral issue during the tinting installation. These kinds of things are rare, but statistically inevitable, and it was just my bad luck that it happened to me. But what really matters, is the way Alta Mere handled the issue. They immediately took ownership of the problem, and made arrangements with a business partner to address it. At no point did they argue or dispute the problem, but instead treated me like a VIP with a Lotus (instead of just some guy with a Toyota). They also accommodated my busy schedule, ensuring that the follow-up work was completed in a single day. And they made sure that the owner of the partner business was personally available to supervise the work. When my car finally returned, it looked better-than-new --- which is great, because it was less than a week old when I first brought it to Alta Mere. So, to summarize: Alta Mere ultimately exceeded my expectations, in surprising ways. While the collateral issue was initially frustrating, unexpected problems are a part of life. What matters is how we deal with them. If the same thing had happened to me at a big-box national chain, I don't think I would have been taken care of like Alta Mere took care of me. I would definitely recommend Alta Mere to friends and family, and may likely return in the future for paint protection. Thank you, Sean, and Alta Mere, for taking ownership of my situation, and delivering a beautiful luxury window tint for my new car. Customer-centric experiences like these are why I always prefer small local businesses to big national chains. read more

Good reviews and good product; pricey but knew that going in. Job was done today, looks good but let's wait for it to dry out. Only reason for not providing 5 stars is, when I made the appointment, Sean said they'd give me a ride considering the length of time it will take. Sean wasn't there today and I was refused the ride.
