I called him back several days later, he made it seem like he didn't recall who I was, and when I refreshed his memory and gave him my number he claimed he would think about it and call me back, which he never did... that's not how you run a professional business. One of the best examples of excellent customer service I've experienced. They installed my dash cam system and a couple of weeks later had to have the front windshield replaced due to a warranty issue. The dealer replaced the windshield shield but failed to reinstall the front camera correctly. Called Dan, took it back to them and reinstalled it correctly and didn't charge a dime. My friends and I all chipped in last June for my husband's birthday and got a gift certificate. He had just purchased a new pickup and what better gift than tinting the windows. Fast forward to last evening, I called Alta Mere and wanted to make an appointment for the husband. I spoke with Dan and from the first "Hello," the level of service has been impeccable! I was expecting to have to wait for an appointment but we were able to get in today. I gave Adam all of the details for the job and this morning when my husband took the truck in, he was greeted by name from Dan. The whole service (front two windows) took all of a couple hours. When it came to pay, we did not realize the gift certificate was good for 6 months. (Honestly, we didn't look at it again after his birthday until today.) The total today was $210 and the GC was $250. They accepted the GC even after we said they didn't have to at all. That is what I say is top notch service from start to finish. I completely dislike crawling into a solar oven which is what a poorly tinted vehicle feels like during 9 months of the year in Texas - or - driving down the road and getting a tan on one arm as the sunlight etches your arm through the window! I needed window tinting for my new vehicle and have had 3 others done by this location over the last 15 years. Dan knows the laws, his product and hires exceptionally skilled staff. A quick coordination visit, a short call, and Dan was going to fit me in. He knew what I wanted and offered his welcomed advice. All was set. I was going to get a variety of shading in the ceramic film. (Darker on the rear side, lighter on the rear, almost clear on the front sides and the darker visor strip on the front.) You know you are at the right provider of vehicle tinting when the other vehicles being dropped off and parked to the left and right of yours cost 2-3 times what you paid and yours wasn't cheap! It was ready for pick up exactly on time, perfectly installed (no bubbles, dust specs or scratches plus aligned perfectly). They provided instructions and some stickers to remind you to let the film dry before you roll down the windows plus how to safely clean them. I purchased a dual Dash Cam system from a company called Spytech and asked Alta Mere to install it. I wanted a clean professional install. After I got my car I discovered the system was being glitchy. I realized the power cord wasn't seating. On further inspection I discover instead of properly connecting the power source using a line tap. Alta mere had wrapped the bare wire around a fuse! $179 not well spent for an install! I had my windows tinted a while back but never got around to leaving a review...had to finally leave a review and give Alta Mere the credit they deserve. I was very impressed with the service provided and the quality of my tint job. I have a convertible, and convertibles can be difficult to tint because the windows shift whenever you open or close the door. I scheduled an appointment to drop my car off in the morning and pick it up that evening. It was rainy and cloudy that day, so when I picked up my car, Dan advised that I not roll the windows down for 7 days (usually its only a couple of days if there is no rain). A week later I roll down the windows and all was well, except I could hear a crackle when rolling down my drivers side window. I couldn't see the tint unraveling, but it was clear that way down in the crack of the window, the tint was unraveled. I returned to Alta Mere and had Dan look at it and without hesitation he said he'd redo the window. Had it done the very next day. Great customer service and my car looks great. Was not happy with my tint job. Paid for the expensive ceramic tint but got a sub par install job. My tint has many dirt specks under the tint film that will never go away until its removed and done again. In the past I've had 3 cars tinted by other tint companies and I was 100 percent satisfied even thought those tint jobs cost a lot less. Maybe my basic 2013 car wasn't expensive enough to get the attention they like to give to the Audi's and Mercedes. Bottom line, I'll be looking for a new tinter. read more
