This apartments witch have been here for many many year's mom use to live in them about 30 years ago) are pretty good and affordable apartments with studios or up to three bedrooms. The apartments even have a pool and a gym and inside they are pretty nice with a kitchen and at least one-two bathrooms on some. The pools are kept pretty clean and even though i don't live here i have been inside this apartments pretty often and there is more then one pool in the entire complex. The studios are not bad for the price but the only thing i don't like is that there is no walls separating the room from the kitchen, but over all i would get an apartment here and from what i heard about people that stayed here the maintenance people are pretty quick at fixing problems and the staff here is also friendly. One thing is you do not have a washer or dryer inside the apartment like some do so you have to use there's and it can range from $1.75 + to wash and dry your clothe, Positive side is that it is right next to the pool so you can take a dip in the pool while you are waiting for your clothe to wash/dry. The apartment complex is pretty quit and kept well up to date as far as painted and clean.

Honest Review of Villa del Mar Apartments I rarely leave…read morereviews, but this one needs to be shared. In September 2024, I signed a lease for a studio at Villa del Mar mainly because of the price and location. From the start, the office staff didn't seem very friendly, but I brushed it off and appreciated how quick and easy the leasing process was. Move-in day came a month later, and things went downhill immediately. They never show you the actual unit you'll be renting--just a "model"--which looked clean and fresh. But the unit I moved into smelled musty and mildewy. I also found several dead German cockroaches, and a large hole in the A/C handler area that I ended up sealing myself just to keep more pests out. The wallpaper looked like it had been painted over, with bubbles everywhere. I'm not usually a complainer, so I fixed what I could and tried to move on. Then came the first electric bill--outrageously high. The A/C units are extremely old, and clearly inefficient, but I knew mentioning it wouldn't lead to any improvements. The valet trash service, which you're required to pay for, is terrible. Residents leave trash out all night, attracting animals. Management sends reminders but never enforces anything. One night someone moved my trash bag next to an abandoned car in front of my apartment, and I was the one who got threatened for it. Speaking of that abandoned car: it sat right in front of my door for months with a flat tire, and despite my repeated complaints, management did absolutely nothing. Move-out day couldn't come fast enough. While packing, I found signs of more German cockroaches inside my electronics--disgusting. The building clearly has a serious pest issue. After inspection, I thankfully got my full deposit back... but actually receiving the check was another nightmare. They claimed it got "lost in the mail" twice. It took 75 days and me filing a small-claims notice before they finally sent my money. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. The complex has potential, and I will say they offer community activities and communicate regularly with residents. But the owners seem to do the bare minimum to keep units rented. They need to repave the parking areas, update the HVAC systems, address the pest problems, and get the musty smell under control. I hope this review helps anyone considering moving here. Writing this was worth it if it saves someone else the frustration.

No one should have to pay $3100 a month (my friends pay $3600!) and deal with ahole neighbors cutting through your tiny little area, ruining the furniture that you purchased to make the area look nice (and protect my kids), POS residents sneaking up behind my children while they're playing IN OUR LITTLE TINY SECTION THAT WE PAY FOR and scaring them, being creepy scary pedos all bc they're too lazy to walk 500 extra feet to the pool. Trust that they can definitely use that exercise. Not to mention how obscenely *dirty* these residents are. Beer cans and garbage all over the pool, garbage all over the grounds, inability to throw garbage away at the dumpster bc it's full so often and the fact that the a/c units cannot handle Florida summers (in our townhouse, there should be 2 ac units but that's not happening) and my unit rarely is under 79° during the day. This place is not worth the money they're currently charging bc I am not getting my money's worth. I was WAY more chill when I paid $1,000 less every month.

If you're looking for a "luxury" apartment complex, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere…read more Our dishwasher stopped working, and for nearly three months management and maintenance repeatedly told my wife and me that nothing was wrong with it. We were essentially dismissed every time we reported the issue. Eventually, the dishwasher began smoking and filled our apartment with smoke and fumes. Because the front office never answers their phone, I had to call the fire department to inspect the situation. The fumes were so bad me and my wife had to spend the night in a hotel while the apartment aired out. The next day, I went to the leasing office in person and was again treated as though the issue wasn't a big deal. It wasn't until I flagged down a maintenance employee driving by on a golf cart and demanded someone take a look that they finally acknowledged the dishwasher was defective. Even then, it took additional months before it was replaced. Maintenance supervisor does nothing the majority of the day and leaves early most days. Anytime I have had an issue the front office assures me the maintenance supervisor will stop by or call me. In which he never does. Easily the worst apartment complex i've lived in for the prices they charge. Based on mine and many other reviews I'm genuinely confused as to how the maintenance supervisor still has job here, but I guess the bar must be pretty low. Beyond that, the property seems to be in a constant state of construction, creating ongoing noise and inconvenience. Along with the gate which always seems to be broken. On top of that, the smell of marijuana is a daily occurrence throughout the complex. For the prices they charge and the "luxury" branding they advertise, the level of service and living experience falls far short of expectations. Save yourself the frustration and consider other apartment communities before signing a lease here

They deleted…read moretheir old Yelp profile due to the number of bad reviews and created this new profile earlier this year, they also removed the reviews section from their Facebook page because of the negative reviews there. The buildings have been bought by a new management company who is nearly as incompetent as the last one. The management does not respond to messages in a timely manner and I don't think they do walkthroughs of the property, EVER, as there are issues like trash cans left in hallways, parts of the building falling off and laying on the floor for weeks on end, etc. Yesterday I went down to the parking garage and nearly broke my neck when I slipped on a flooded floor because the parking garages LITERALLY drain THROUGH the doors to the building, you have to open the doors with water coming down them and walk through a waterfall to gain access to the parking garage. The parking garage itself is so poorly constructed I think it rains more in there than outside when it's raining. There are also cars that people have abandoned in the parking garage over a YEAR ago that are still sitting there, flat tires, dust so thick that people write on it. Unfortunately every time they say things they are going to get better, and they might for a few weeks, but then back to the old ways. If you are looking at moving, I recommend that you talk to some of the actual residents who have been here for a while before doing so.

The courtesy officer pretty much knew my number by memory and handled any noise complaint that I had with an ease. Now the cons.... Living poolside was probably the main mistake that I chose when moving in. Unless you are young and want to join in on the fun, you will hear everything that goes on out there. Additionally, during the warm months, there are so many parties by the pool area. That's where the security officer came in, prior to knowing his number, the parties will go on through midnight and I can literally Shazam the songs from my apartment. Sometimes it was at the patio and others at the pool. The courtesy officer was really good at calling their attention and making them stop when I called but just very annoying to have to call almost daily. Aside from that the staff was absolutely amazing! You don't hear the neighbors that are inside of their homes at all, just when their patio doors are open. The garage was a definite plus and commute to the mall.
