Every once in a while my partners and I will go to Alta Cafe. It's just up the street on a little hill, in the middle of no where. It's the kind of place where you'd expect crazy illegal shenanigans to transpire, but that's just the area.
There are a lot of unidentifiable businesses and large scale operations here. I'm not really sure what they are, but Alta Cafe sits on the hillside overlooking the entire Otay Mesa area.
The food there is quite good. We go there and sit on the patio when we need a breather from work and we talk about random things about what we want to do with the company etc. Did I mention the food was good? The chips and salsa are homemade. It's pretty much your typical Mexican eatery, so I can't tell you much more about their menu since you can find it at a 1,000 places in San Diego.
There's a really cute waitress there though and I always want to ask her out, but I'm afraid she'll start cursing at me in Spanish. I can't imagine anyone would want to drive all the way out here for food, but I can tell you now that waitress is smoking hot. I'll probably keep going back just to see her smile... until she comes to her senses and gets a real job. read more
