Yesterday the rubber strip on top of the windshield of my 2010 Elantra came adrift. I took it to…read morethe dealer and they said they don't deal with that, so I drove down Cave Creek Road looking for an auto glass place. I stopped at the first sign I saw and asked if they could glue the rubber strip back on. They refused to help me, stating that if the glass fell out later, they would be legally liable. Disappointed in my fellow man I headed to an auto parts store to just buy the glue and attempt to repair it myself. On the way I saw the sign for VIP Auto Glass, on Cave Creek just south of Bell Road, on the east side of the street. The owner was very helpful. He showed me that the rubber strip was rotten already and he'd have to replace it. In 10 minutes had a new strip glued in place for a very reasonable price. I really like the "can do" attitude and the professional work. They place doesn't look like much but I think it's a gem. They also do exhausts and radiators.

Our car was at the shop for 8 weeks when we were told it's be 2. We needed 1 door fixed and 1…read morereplaced, and the owner offered to eat the deductible and fix our fender. When we got it back, our back window had been broken and was not returned, the window doesn't even work, the door is missing the remote lock button, the doors don't line up correctly, and the paint doesn't match and has awful runs. I tried to be very understanding with extenuating circumstances and whatnot, I tried to be understanding that there was clearly more work than they'd anticipated, but I made it clear I'd be willing to pay for the addition work needed and speak with our insurance company to fix the damage done to our car. We were told not to worry about it, and got our car back after 8 weeks in the middle of the night. It wasn't until later, in the daylight, that we could see how bad the paint was and that the window had been replaced and was not tinted. We later learned about the window not being functional at all. I'm, at this point, worried about what else I will find wrong with my vehicle. I don't know if the company is even still in business, as they deleted their Facebook page which was our primary form of contact.
