They charged CC right away, a week later, after I had called regarding status of pick up, they tell me it still needs to be assembled...be patient. A week later they tell me the one in stock is damaged and they cant repair it so they need to order another from their Ottawa store. Another week later they tell me the second one is also damaged and they cant repair it. Seriously, if they cant get two brand new bikes working, heaven help you if you brought them in one that was actually damaged to fix. I asked them to follow up with Cannon, the manufacture, but that was like a month ago and still no follow up. My riding season is off to a great start...not, thanks for nothing MEC.

I wanted to say that I'm very impressed with the Vancouver-based MEC Service Centre. There was a…read moreproblem with my jacket order...they couldn't find a Synergy Gore-Tex Jacket even though their system said there was at least 1 on hand in Canada at the clearance price of 30% off. Well, I asked and they agreed to ship me a 2018 Synergy Jacket for the clearance price. What a deal...or could I say steal!!! Terrific customer experience is what it was. The jacket arrived yesterday via Canada Post (free shipping) and I'm now set with my 3rd Gore-Tex coat in 30 years. It's a fantastic all-weather material if you maintain it. Thank you MEC!

Arrived at the store unaware we needed an appointment. The sales person came to the door and asked…read moreif we had an appointment. We said no and he said he could not help us and closed the door. There was no offer to book an appointment or explanation. We went to a competing store and spent over $2500 in equipment. My daughter and I popped in here one evening after discussing our exercise habits. I've been…read morelooking for something to get myself moving when the weather is bad or when I don't have a lot of free time. Lo and behold, I came across a floor model of a stationary bike. I climbed on board and found it was comfortable and easy to use. It was a brand-name and the price wasn't outrageous. A few hundred bucks later, we were loading it into my truck. The guys here were friendly and helpful. They did helpfully point out the pricier, fancy machine that sells for a lot more ("for a fast, total work-out"), but I was not interested in buying something I would likely not use after the first week. I enjoy my bike and use it nearly every day. I wouldn't say it was the best deal of my life, but it works for me. I never got a user's manual, but luckily, I only use the basic features. Still, if I were looking for more exercise equipment, I would likely drop by and see what's on sale at Flaman Fitness.

The past 3 sale items I purchased were not reduced at the cash. I had to inform the staff member of the error, and a manager was called to correct the error. If I wasn't watching I would have been charged full price. The repeated pattern of this error is troublesome.

We've been going to this bike shop for years because it's the only option in our neighborhood, but…read moreunfortunately the experience seems to get worse with each visit. The customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff rarely makes eye contact, there is little to no acknowledgment when customers enter the store, and basic courtesies such as greeting customers or providing updates on wait times are completely absent. It is extremely inefficient and disorganized. What makes the experience particularly frustrating is that there can be only a couple of customers in the store while several employees are on the floor, yet it can still take 30 minutes to an hour just to get someone's attention or speak with a staff member. During these waits, there is often no communication, no indication of who is being helped next, and no confirmation that anyone will be assisting you. As a family that loves biking and has invested a lot of time and money on our bikes, it's so frustrating to get it serviced at this location and will be looking at going elsewhere.

When my partner and I walked in, we were immediately impressed with how clean and organized it looked compared to any other fitness depot we have visited. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. We also met the owner, Mark. He took the initiative to introduce himself upon us entering. Offered excellent customer service. He was friendly and professional and took the time to listen, educate us on products we were interested in and give us recommendations. The price is also right. Not trying to sound like a commercial here but I felt impelled to write this review based on our positive visit. This place deserves a five star for the NEW ADMINISTRATION. Thus far the best fitness depot I've ever visited. Two thumbs up guys! Totally worth the trip! Will visit again and so should you!
