The staff wete friendly and patient, who helped me select a great pair of new skates. All questions I asked he was able to answer. Also, the Pro Shop also sized and cut some of my own sticks down to the proper size. The one issue I had was the waiting time. As I said I had to wait for help and the skate sharpening which comes with the new skates took over 30 minutes. Overall a better choice than Natjonal Sports but does not come close to the care a small and local independent store may give you.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to buy shoes for my son…read more The 2 women sales associates were busy with 2 other clients. Neither acknowledged our presence or even bothered to greet us. The one sales associate did take a break when there was another lady at the checkout and assisted her while she was attending to her prior client (just didn't deem us worthy of her attention) We were there for 30 mins before a third sales associate (probably just starting his shift) assisted us. They barely had any sizes or styles available. I would not recommend visiting this location. We were returning customers who'd had a good experience on prior visits and recommended friends and family to this location. This visit changed that for good. One wonders in the current economy how such businesses can afford to lose customers.

I started playing tennis last summer and had yet to step inside a tennis specific store. I was glad…read moreto find this one wasn't too far from home. It's a smaller store that is neatly laid out. Shoes on the left, clothing on the right, and in the back is a shop of sorts where I you can get your racquet re-gripped. The staff let us know that they have a shipment of new items on the way, and so that was good to know as I found there was a lack of variety in items. They didn't seem to have much variety of sizing in clothing, so that was a bummer. I was also looking for a basic bag to bring to the court that isn't so clunky as some of the professional tennis bags, but they didn't have those either. Overall if I needed tennis specific shoes or something done with my racquet, I think i'd come back here first and then expand my search to online or other sports stores if needed.

They charged CC right away, a week later, after I had called regarding status of pick up, they tell me it still needs to be assembled...be patient. A week later they tell me the one in stock is damaged and they cant repair it so they need to order another from their Ottawa store. Another week later they tell me the second one is also damaged and they cant repair it. Seriously, if they cant get two brand new bikes working, heaven help you if you brought them in one that was actually damaged to fix. I asked them to follow up with Cannon, the manufacture, but that was like a month ago and still no follow up. My riding season is off to a great start...not, thanks for nothing MEC.
