I love this place! I've been here five or six times? Always great service always great food…read more Obviously you have to get the smashburgers. Standard has two patties squished out pretty well. Great meat flavor, seasoned well and caramelized edges, just like you want a smashburger to be. The bun is just super, it appears to be buttered and grilled. I get the plain Jane with American and add bacon and fried onions. House fries appear fresh cut, remind me of five guys which is top of the food chain as far as fries are concerned. The fried pickles are exceptional. All around a great dining experience! If you are old, like me, it gets a little loud, so sit next to the person that you want to talk to, ha ha. The heavenly smell of their burgers stay with you for a couple hours after you leave....

I ordered the Wisconsinite Burger with cheese curds on the side, along with a beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing. I had never tried their beer before, and it was really good. The burger was delicious too, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The cheese curds had their own unique style. They tasted good, but they just were not really my thing. The service made the experience even better. My server was very polite, helpful, and informative. When I mentioned that it was my first time in Beloit, she recommended checking out the stadium to catch a minor league baseball game. I thought that was a really cool local recommendation. I forgot her name but she was a great server!! Overall, I loved my experience and would definitely go back.

Came to this pub in Roscoe and had a pretty uneven experience. It looks pretty cool inside, with a…read moreton of TVs, and it's got plenty of room. Louie's Tap House is one of the few good hangouts in town. Has tons of local beers. The food menu has burgers and stuff at pretty good prices. A lot of people really come here just to get drunk. It's no wonder because there's a massive beer list. This is shown on a TV and goes through a few screens. A lot of local beers. It's about $8 for some of these. Among these is the Generations Pretzel City. There's tons of food though. It's $12 for the Louie Burger. Make it with a Beyond Burger patty for a couple bucks more. The food isn't really as bad as some people say. One thing sucks to be honest. The service. It was slow getting a small order of a Beyond Burger. This isn't even like it's a real one that gets cooked much. After that it was slow to get the check. The waiting was too long so we left money, though we didn't have enough for a tip. Good food, but it can take a long time, so keep it basic. It has tons of beers, which go great with burgers, or something. There's even burger options for vegans and vegetarians.

It's a shame the service is so poor at Loui's because the food is actually pretty good, but because…read morethey don't have enough staff or because there is poor communication the experience at Louie's is not good. We called ahead to let them know that 5 adults and two children were coming in for a birthday. We asked to be placed in the back room. They said they didn't take reservations, but the bar tender would be told we were coming and they could accommodate us. We arrived at 11:30 and were told we could seat ourselves in the back room and from that point on we were basically on our own. The bar tender appeared to be the only wait staff. So we went to the bar to order our drinks and then we went back to the bar with our food order. I am in no way blaming the bartender. She was on her own. There were people at the bar that she needed to take care of. However, we ended up getting our own silverware, straws...etc. once the food showed up. But a short time later people started coming into the back room and setting up for a party. And shortly after that we were asked to leave the back area. Our 8 year old birthday boy had not opened his gifts so we hauled the gifts to the bar area where he opened them. This "event" which we'd hoped to make special, was a bit of a disaster. Had I been the person writing our bill I would have deducted 25% and apologized. That did not occur. Full bill. No apology. We won't be returning.

Great restaurant with great staff. The manager working the bar during lunch has the perfect balance…read moreof service and leaving me to eat. The burger was amazing. Very tasty sauce and the bun held together pretty well considering all the sauce and onion. Would definently come back here. The lunch special was a steal and their beer selection was top notch. I've been going here for years. It was Mr Brews, but has been bought and turned into "two-twenty"…read moreor something like that. The atmosphere is all wrong. Feels like a big loud sports bar, but they're trying to make it intimate dining. It doesn't work. Service was ok. The waiter was attentive. However, my wife asked for salmon. They were out. She asked for chicken. They were out. So she got the same salad she used to get when it was the branded chain (still on the menu). I had a "power bowl." Our seats were conveniently positioned to watch the kitchen staff cut open a bag of quinoa and black beans and microwave it. Yep. That was my plate. $20 for a microwaved meal. To their credit, it did taste good, but watching that made me realize we were definitely not coming back. Used to be a great place for a beer and a burger. Now, I'll look elsewhere. It's not bad, but the high-end pricing doesn't match the atmosphere or quality. The power bowl and salad were in the cheap end of the menu.
