I had been here many, many years ago when it was a Mexican restaurant but hadn't been back since it was redone as a sports bar. I decided to try this for something different. First off, it is DARK inside. Once again, I used my phone to illuminate the menu. I ordered Al's Club. You get one side. I ordered fries. While waiting, I watched the basketball game on the large screen facing me. In a short time, the server brought my sandwich and it was large. You can see in my photo how much turkey was in the sandwich. I knew that this would be a takeout night. After finishing half the sandwich, I asked for a box, and I took the other half home and had the next day. It was a tasty dinner and great to have leftover food for the next day. It's not just the food it's also the service that makes a meal. Jessica was an awesome server. Her friendly and helpful attitude really made our dinner more enjoyable. We enjoyed the Wedge Salad, a classic and favorite of mine and the hubs decided on the Steak & Crab Legs special. The steak was cooked to his preference and was tender and delicious. We shared the steak and salad while he took care of the crab legs. He said they were good and the seasoned really well. We would have loved some dessert, but we were full. Big thank you to Jessica! This spot is right down the hill from a super nice suburb area of Vegas, called Sumerlin. We've got a buddy who used to live there. This bar had an old school type sports bar vibe to it. That part was cool, sports bars have lost their charm to people and don't seem to survive in California anymore. So it was refreshing to come here. The menu had a pretty nice range of stuff. We have been going to Al's Garage for years. The food is excellent and the service has always been spot on. The recent visit we ordered take out. We always get the grilled chicken sandwich which we feel is the best chicken sandwich in town. And with that great sandwich comes the best steak fries in town. This time was disappointing. We ordered the chicken sandwich with the side of fries and cook I guess decided to forget to give us our normal portion. We thought it was kind of strange that the fries were on the bottom and the sandwich sat on the paper on top of the fries. Normally we get the sandwich and the fries are stuffed in the to go box. Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had. Came in late night (after 10pm) for steak and crab legs. Seemed like a decent deal, but boy was I wrong. Crab was over done and rubbery. Ordered my steak medium rare and it was well done with zero pink left. They cover everything in this God awful spice to cover up the mediocre quality of the food. I ordered a salad as well which they didn't remember and brought out at the same time as my food defeating the entire point of a salad. Also one of my crab legs was actually green in the inside... gross. Service was fine, but we won't be back. I had zero desire to explain that the food was not good, I just won't return. The entire meal was 72$ after a 5$ reward Was applied. With tip I spent nearly 85$ for garbage. At least the music was decent. Never again. read more

Solid happy hour for football. 7 dollar burger and drinks! Cool vibe with a lot of TVs. One thing we didn't like was how there wasn't any bar seating unless you Gamed. Al's has a $7 burger special on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Thought we'd give it a go. A serious double patty, double cheese with lettuce, tomatoes and sautéed onions ad a crisp dill pickle spear. Fries are an additional $5. Burger was really big - neither of us could finish our burger. Tasted absolutely amazing! We were stuffed. All the tables around us were enjoying the same special. They have a $40 bonus where if you sign up your phone number so they can text you specials, they take $20 off your bill on the spot, so our meals was covered. We visited on Friday for lunch with a party of three and it was a very nice experience. We were told to seat ourselves and ended up in a spacious booth. The waitress stopped by right away and took drink orders. Their margaritas are large and strong. We started with the Big Combo Appetizer plate. It had basically everything; wings, chicken strips, jalapeno poppers, mac & cheese bites, onion rings, and chips and dip. It also came with a nice selection of sauces. This thing was big and tasty. From there we went with a Breakfast Sandwich and Al's Beef Dips. The sandwiches were well prepared and delicious. The service was excellent, she was friendly, prompt, and professional. Inside there are multiple TVs with different shows playing on each screen. They are also playing music inside, it is not too loud but louder than I would like. My husband and I were super excited to try this place because we've had such an awesome experience at John Cutter. John Cutter is next door to Al's garage and when you sign up for their text alerts, you also receive specials for Al's Garage. The service was horrible. My soda cup had a crack and we patiently waited for our server to come back so we can inform her but it took her so long that the napkin was soaked so my husband just got up and asked the bartender for a cup. We were almost done with our meal and our drink cups were empty and stayed empty for the longest time. Our server wasn't rude or anything but she just avoided our table. We watched her check on her other tables but seemed to always forget about us. Other workers would pass by and I get that they are assigned a section but it would have been nice if at least once someone asked if we needed anything because we really did! We were expecting a similar quality as John Cutter but again we were wrong. The steak was overly seasoned and not cooked properly.
