Al's is truly one of my favorite local bike shops, and it's because of the people. Trey, the owner, puts so much heart, dedication, and integrity into running this shop. He genuinely takes the time to know his customers and their families, and every time I walk in, I feel that personal connection and sense of community. He even let us purchase our son's surprise birthday bike and keep it hidden in the back until his birthday. He made sure it was looking great and ready to go, and that small act of kindness meant so much to our family. Andy, Jeff, and Derek are also exceptional. They are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind--especially with all of my 101 beginner-cyclist questions! I never feel talked down to or pressured to buy something I don't need. There's just something special about the down-to-earth atmosphere at Al's. They truly care about their customers and the Edmond cycling community, and that comes through in everything they do. Nothing but positive things to say about this team. We're so grateful to have Al's in our community. Thank you, Trey and team, for all you do! read more

I've had nothing but great service at Al's. The mechanics do a great job and the prices are very reasonable.

They missed my call and called right back. We brought my bike in that day and got it taken care of in less than an hour! Very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Thank you! read more

We came in close to closing a few weeks before Christmas to check out kids bikes for our daughter. I had hoped to buy here because I wanted to support them, and I thought it would be nice to be able to have her bike serviced at a spot so close to home, with such a history of taking good care of customers. We had measured her before coming in, and we were kind of stuck between a 16 and a 20. The man who helped us was knowledgeable but ultimately unwilling to offer an opinion. Do we buy a bike that's too big that she can grow into (but might be scary to ride initially), or do we buy a bike that she'll be super comfortable on now, and run the risk that she grows out of it too soon. He simply could not (or would not) guide us. I get that it's a tough question, and one that could go either way, but we left there without a good idea of what to do. He failed to mention that there is always the option of an 18, perhaps because they didn't have that in stock. I ended up finding out that there was such a thing as an 18, and purchased elsewhere. In the end, I was able to find a more affordable bike that was better suited for our needs. I understand that part of what you're paying for at a small local shop is the expertise of an on-site expert, but when they can't give you the expert info you're searching for, that doesn't really do me much good. read more

Henry at Al's bicycle shop saved our trip. We were traveling thru town when our old bike rack gave up the ghost. Henry met us and installed a great new Kuat rack and we were on our way. Thanks Henry, when we come back thru town on our way home we will stop and buy that Trek FX your knowledgeable guy(sorry I didn't get his name) showed us. read more

I selected Al's Bicycles not for a bike service issue but for an upright rollator assembly. Since I'm technically challenged & have a disability, I knew that a bicycle shop would be able to assemble it. And they did it for a nominal fee & in less than 24 hrs. My husband is very grateful, as he was not to assemble it due to 2 recent surgeries. The guys at Al's Bicycles are SUPER PHENOMENAL!!!! read more

Friendly staff & great prices! I had to get a tube changed for my bike and did the job in less than 5 minutes. Thanks again Al's bicycles!! read more

we took my walker in to fix the brakes and they fixed it for free!!! They are sooo awesome! love them! will take it back there always!!

One of the friendliest businesses in town! I'm new to the sport and they always go the extra mile to teach and educate me on the joys of cycling. Never once do I feel inferior as the whole staff will gently steer you in the right direction. I highly recommend Al's Bicycles! read more

I didn't get my bike from them but they helped me air up my tires and fixed the handlebars. Great customer service! I appreciate it!

Yes, there are cheaper bicycles at Walmart. But then Sam Walton won't greet you at the door and offer to tune your bike.....for free. Al's has a long history in Oklahoma City. While a lot of bike shops have come and gone, Al's continues to reign supreme. This is due to long-time customer loyalty, created by good customer service and quality work. There are several locations that I've used, but the Edmond location is my favorite. read more

We recently moved to the area about 4 years ago. We work very hard to try to keep the business local to benefit the city and ourselves ultimately. I actually purchased a nice Trek Hybrid bike from this shop myself for about $800+ I actually found the staff ok, the service is actually very inconsistent, it depends whom you talk to. I find the owner extremely nice, but somewhat sarcastic making comments about the nice car I drive and how I shouldn't bother about the cost of the bike... But was willing to overcome such attitude, and the small mom and pop inventory.... The issues becomes, is that you find them pushing their inventory on you, instead of actually selling you what you need. That right there bothers me a lot and not good business practice. Today, I went with my wife to buy her a bike she is a very petit woman - 4'7" and controlling the bike is a critical issue for her. There was a heavier set guy that was on his cell phone, after finally getting off his phone, he seemed bothered by assisting us and did a terrible job in actually listening to the needs and what we were looking for. Very argumentative and stubborn. As a result, we thanked them for their time and left. I can tell you that I have had it with this store, we will be driving a little longer distance to pay the same money but get royal treatment in other places in the city. Not a good business.... in our humble opinion. read more

Great store. Good quality. Nice staff. I just in for the second time to get a part to fix my bike. It was a small cable housing. They just gave it to me free of charge. These guys are really awesome! They have great bikes. I will be coming back for sure. read more

Good bike shop with quality bikes. Was a little concerned about initial purchase price but with the free yearly tune ups they have lasted long than expected and still perform well. Most of the staff is very good. Overall, a recommended place. read more

The service was extraordinary. The guys are friendly, accommodating, know what they're talking about, and always put the customer first. I would recommend this shop as one of the best bicycle shops I've ever been to. read more

Bill was a huge help! Very knowledgeable and eager to teach me anything I had a question about. All the guys were super nice. I would highly recommend Al's Bicycles. read more

Bright, happy, helpful, informed and capable staff, well stocked store. Bought my first brand new bike since I was a kid and am glad I spent a few more bucks over a box store bike with zero support or experience. Worth every penny, and they were great even though I walked in firmly planning to buy the cheapest bike they had basically. Salesman Luke was very cool and helpful and just basically exactly what I'd hoped for. I'll be back there again. read more

In search of a new bike helmet, I wanted to support this local business. I was glad to see "no mask no entry" on way in...but found 2 out of 3 employees were NOT wearing a mask while waiting on customers. They're not even following their own rules. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Henry at Al's Bicycles will treat you right. Great service at a fair price. I've purchased four bikes from him and never been disappointed.

Great customer service!! We had a Schwinn stroller that got ran over, and Jeff took care of us!! We will definitely buy our future bikes from Al's!! Thanks Jeff!! read more

Great bikes that are well priced for their quality. We have purchased several bikes over the years from Al's in Edmond and have been very happy. Their sales people are always very patient as we've tried out different models, left the store, returned to try out models again. Very friendly service and they cover the basic accessories. Repairs are excellent! When traveling last year my gears kept jamming. I had three different mechanics check out my bike and tell me nothing was wrong, upon a trip to Al's they worked their magic and I haven't had problems since. read more

I am NOT a bike person, but me baby stroller, which is an all terrain, had a flat. I felt very out of my element and had no idea what I needed, but Al's took care of me and immediately knew what I needed. They were kind, well priced, and extremely quick! read more

I have appreciated Al's non-pressure salesmanship since my first purchase (a hybrid) in 2005. I visited the store several times to discussed bikes, components, my use, etc before I made a decision. I was always greeted with respect and patiently given information. I added 2 bikes for my growing children the following year. Using Al's wisdom I was able to purchase bikes that my girls were able to grow with for several years. They had quickly outgrown the Walmart/Academy bikes in less than a year. I was able to sell those Al's bikes 4 years later at a respectable price - because they were quality bikes. I added a road bike in 2006 and later 2 'fitness' bikes that we all use and I frequently use to commute to work (a 32mi round trip). Each purchase has entailed multiple discussions of options and components. I have never felt pressured to purchase - whether it be bike or the many gear products over the years. I have consistently been met with information and teaching (sometimes beyond what I was able to completely grasp at the moment ;)). I have always felt that my comfort level with a purchase was significantly important. And I love that I can take my bike - even the old 2005 - in for a free tune-up! I am eager to add a new road bike soon. And yes, I will purchase it from Al's in Edmond. read more

I have traveled all over the country, and yet Al's Bicycles in Edmond, OK is my favorite shop for friendly atmosphere, great help, all the bikes and parts and gear I want, and top notch service. I have personally walked several friends and family in the front door to buy bikes, knowing they would get the best experience possible of anywhere. This is my bike shop, the only place I shop, and I invite everyone to check it out. read more

Al's just built up a nice road bike which I bought out of state. They didn't blink an eye at helping me out. They did the job fast and at a very good price and then were more than happy to answer questions and assist me with the bike. I was really pleased with them, and this was after an OKC shop had turned their nose up at the work. They will be my go-to shop for repairs and accessories (and bikes when I need a new one). Just moved my business to Al's Edmond! read more

Two stars for a double ripoff!!! After considering other options for service I decided to give the shop where I bought the first few bikes in my life a shot oops now I know how they have kept the doors open--ripping people off who do or don't know much about bikes. They charged $50 to setup a pair of tubeless wheels even though I provided sealant and the rim strips were properly installed. This was after they verbally told me it would be 10-15 per wheel. When I confronted them on the price they told me it was because they were hard to setup and they had to add more sealant (not sure what they used for sealant but the price is a lot higher than oil)! Boo hoo do your job! Never again will you receive my business. read more
