My shower stall with its old school tiny tiles are completely reglazed! Beautiful! The grout was terrible nothing could get it clean even the wall tiles were glazed. Redoing the entire stall was prohibitive cost wise and inconvenient and a pain but Al's suggestion worked! He deglazed my bathtub rim too where pre owner removed glass doors but left marks on the rim. Thanks! Highly recommended! read more

I gave 5 Stars to Al's Bathtub Refinishing, because he means what he says, he walks the talk, and best of all, he's a genuine person, not only he cares about his job, I found him to be a very Honest & Caring Individual, he's not going to leave your pocket empty. Before I entrusted Al to do the Repair to our Fiberglass Shower Tub, I called 4 Contractors that does the same Repair Service, and made appointment for all to see our damaged Fiberglass Shower Tub , but Al impressed me the most, with his punctuality, he showed up at the meeting time, and the day he said he was coming, he was very affront what needs to be done to fix our Shower Tub. On top of that, he's very passionate of his job, as a homeowner, you could sense he wasn't after the money, he didn't try to jack-up his service, he was the most reasonable amongst 4 other Estimates that I got from the other Bathtub Repair Companies, and best of all, he's the most honest, personable, & likable guy. We're so very happy with the repair, our Shower Tub is looking brand new again, what I got from his service, I would have paid even more, my experience from his service is priceless, as long as he's still providing his service, look no further, I recommend Al's Bathtub Refinishing 110% , and his service is 5 Year Warranty from defects provided there's no abuse or misuse. - JORGE R. read more

It has been a month since Al had redone my bathtub and I am totally delighted by the results! A renter had damaged the surface by using a bath mat with suction cups! Knowing this fact, this info for its special care is included in our maintenance instructions for the unit but apparently this renter is not a "detail dweller!" Al took time to schedule the repair during his busiest time and came by to refinish the tub in time for the next occupancy. The job was also completed under warranty. This company is consistent, reliable and they are just a bunch of nice folks. I highly recommend Al's Bathtub Refinishing if you don't want to go through the labor and mess of replacing your tub but would like it to look new and refreshed. read more

James came by today to refinish our guest bathtub. After moving into our house after purchasing, we noticed the bathtubs were very stained and scratched in some areas. Nothing I did to clean them worked. We contacted Al's and set up our appointment. The cost was fair for the amazing job that was done today. It took about three hours, but James left no mess behind him when leaving. He also gave me very clear instructions for upkeep which I appreciate. Here is a before and after photo of the tub! read more

My bathtub and shower stall had started to look pretty dingy and bad. 15 years worth of cleaning, chemicals, some mildew, and just neglect and left it looking bad. I searched around for a company that could re-glaze the bathtub and got a referral to Al's Bathtub Refinishing. I left them a message and he called me back in a few hours. I gave him a description of the size of the job, the area to be reglazed / refinished and he gave me a very reasonable estimate. So, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. One of Al's employees came over and explained to me the process. Reglazing a tub is not exactly a trivial thing. It is not a simple paint job, but a thick, toxic spray. He sealed up and protected much of my bathroom with plastic sheeting, then set up a fan to pull the excess spray outside. After he had completely prepped the tub and shower walls, he suited up in a suit that made him look like an extra out of Contagion and got to work. The smell in the bathroom was strong for a few days, but the tub and shower looked just like new. You can't use your tub for a few days after the reglazing, but the wait is worth it. My bathroom looks freaking great. Al's employee was worried about one tiny spot that I barely noticed and he came back 2 days later and did some touch-up work. You do need to make sure you follow their instructions for cleaning after the new glazing is put on so that you don't damage it. This includes using very toxic or abrasive cleaners. read more

When my husband and I bought our townhome, the bath tub was already gross. I wanted a whole new one. I didn't even know that re-glazing a tub was an option. My aunty had hers done and referred me to Al's. They did an AWESOME job! They managed to come and get my tub done within 3 days. It was a very last minute appointment - my aunty had cancelled one of her appts so I swooped in and took her spot. The appt time was 930a but they couldn't make it until 12p. Not a biggie. I really wanted to have this done. It took a little under 4 hours and now my tub looks AMAZING. It takes a few days for the glaze to dry before you can actually use it, but it's so worth it. They even cleaned up the faucet and fixtures I had. I feel like I have a completely new tub! I guess the people that owned the place before us had had the tub done before (and they chose a nasty brown color). Randy & partner had no issue scraping all of the old glaze off and making my tub shiny and white. They fixed all the scrape marks I made from when I tried to clean (in vain) the brown tub. I would most def recommend to anyone and everyone! They mentioned how to care for the shower - gota wipe it down so water spots don't pick up the paint and no harsh chemicals or scrubbing. Pretty simple stuff. They have a 5 yr warranty and mentioned that there was no reason the job shouldn't last us 20yrs. I used to keep my eyes closed during showers. Now I can't get myself to leave my shower! read more

James did a remarkable job repairing & rehabbing an old shower stall with ugly yellow speckled 4" square tiles, water stains & a 7" crack through 3 tiles on the corner ledge. He re-grouted the entire shower before re-glazing all of tiles bright, shiny white. One would not be able to detect by feel or sight the area where the cracked tiles were repaired. Also, James did not leave a trace of evidence that he was even there (except for the beautiful, new looking tiles). There was no construction debris, dust or spills left anywhere. Do not hesitate to hire this company, I've used them for 2 other construction rehabs & results for both were great. For this project, Al's estimate was 1/2 of what another company quoted. read more

Got both of my showers done by Al's and the workmanship was great!! Love my refinished showers. Laurent, the worker who did my shower was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided a lot of tips on maintaining the refinished showers. Will definitely call them again in 20 or so years when it needs to be redone! Definitely will recommended to others! read more

Al provided us a price quote over the weekend and was able to schedule his refinisher Kainoa within a few days to do the work! Al was great at explaining the process and told us the new shower trim is recommended to be installed before the refinishing. We were able to have the plumber install the new shower trim ahead of the shower refinishing. Kainoa was professional and courteous when he arrived at our house and showed up on time as scheduled. The shower refinish turned out fabulous and I only wish we did this sooner! 72 hour curing time period for the refinished surface before use of shower. Cleaning instructions to use only soft scrub and white sponge, no abrasives or metal that can scratch the refinished surface. Thank you Al for prompt response and Kainoa for a great job well done! read more

Telephoned on 7/20 and sent pictures to you as requested. Today's the 28th. Didn't get a quote yet.

Not like new, it is new! My tub and walls are GORGEOUS bright and white and wow, I am super happy. Plus Al did the work himself so I felt like I had the master craftsmen in my home. The tub and walls had a treatment once before by someone else a long time ago so Al had some sanding to do. He also taped and papered off the bathroom so no product would escape during the process. Al is a delightful man and easy to talk to. Of course he's been doing this for 25+ years so he's comfortable with himself and his trade. I felt safe when I left my home and then asked him to lock up and let me know when he had left. I received a text upon his departure. I have to wait three days to use the shower, and it is oh so worth it. Thanks everyone! YOU have a great business, style and priced right too... I shopped around and feel pleased to all ends. Oh and Al arrived right on time... right on the nose in fact:) VERY VERY happy. read more

First, our tub was embarrassingly disgusting. I can't believe I let it get so bad. But, we were in a bind to get it refinished quickly. I texted Al and he responded promptly, immediately gave me a quote, and waited patiently while I shopped around for other quotes. Within less then a week, I was on the books to get my tub redone. He arrived promptly when he said he would and finished his job within a day. I was home with my 4 kids and he did his thing. At the end of the job, he went over important refinishing info and was on his way. Aside from his outstanding work, he's very pleasant and professional. If I ever need to get my tub refinished or friends/family need a referral, I'd definitely recommend Al! read more

I recently bought a unit in a 3-story walk-up apartment building built in the 1950's to use as a rental. Among other things that needed repairs, the porcelain-coated steel tub had a couple of rusty, chipped areas, and the dated, light blue ceramic tiles on the wall also had chipped areas. The tub/shower stall badly needed repairs and a color update. I found Al's through Yelp, checked the business out online, and then called Al Fernandez. He came over to take a look and to my relief said it wasn't a difficult job. He gave me a several quotes and color choices and I let him know I'd call him back after talking to my boss (wife). The next day, I called to let him know we'd go with bisque color. A few days later, he and his assistant arrived to do the job while I was at work. He called me about 5 hours later and I left work to take a look at the results and pay them for the job. I can't even begin to explain how shiny and new the tub and tiles looked. The tub and tile chip repairs couldn't be seen, and the bisque color was beautiful and modern. Al even polished up the dingy chrome diverter spout, faucet handle and face plate! He took great care to mask off everything in the bathroom to prevent overspray. Al returned all my phone calls and emails promptly, and was nothing but friendly, professional and courteous. He guarantees his work for 5 years as long as you follow his care instructions. I will gladly use him again when I'm ready to redo my tub/shower in my own home. read more

Fast, efficient, and friendly service. The high gloss finish on my tub is just what I hoped for.

I just wanted to commend Al on the work that he does. I had a minor repair to be completed on my bath tub and called Al's Bathtub Refinishing. I just want to thank Al for his outstanding work and friendliness. If you are in the need for a professional refinishing job Al's Bathtub Refinishing is the company to hire!!
