Marcos Puiggavi was excellent. They took care of our pup like he was their own. And in an emergency, they handled everything so efficiently and effectively. read more

Excellent customer service as they got us in over Christmas, we forgot our dogs medicine on our trip here. They were quick to respond & help us out. read more

Excellent care. The staff and vets are wonderful.

Marcos and his staff are awesome! When my dog was really sick last year they really helped out and I was able to afford her recovery bills, unlike some places that charge an arm and a leg when your dog gets sick. I highly recommend them for any and all of your pet needs. read more

Alpine Veterinary Care - Veterinarians Near Me - Missoula, Montana

I had an emergency with my doggie today. They saw her and fixed her up. Great service. Great people. I highly recommend this vet.

I brought my 13 year old Pomeranian in for a check up and to see if anybody could maybe put a little more effort into researching her reverse sneeze. so the doctor insisted that I have to give her a rabies shot. I was upset and did not want her to have a rabies shot but he insisted that he had to. my daughter brought her two pit bulls in there that were both also 12 years old and they didn't make her give the dogs rabies shots . Then the doctor gave her shots and listened to her chest. he didn't even check my dogs, ears, mouth, anything!! maybe tell me if my dog has some rotten teeth maybe tell me my dog has extra wax in her ear because she's going deaf, but did he ask me any questions about my dog? No!! so I started suggesting a couple different things, and then he just agreed to all of them! spent money on medication and blood test to put her under (all a waist of money) then discovered on my own that her reverse sneeze is almost gone by getting rid of wheat! maybe if the doctor would've taken time to ask me some questions about my dog! so pissed will never go back. And giving me a heads up about the stutter would have made me not feel so uncomfortable right off the bat! read more

We switched from Pryn to Alpine due to the hike in prices with new ownership. Even though there's only two rooms and a few parking spots, we've never waited more than 10 minutes. It was not uncommon for me to wait for well over an hour for a scheduled appointment at our old clinic. Everybody at Alpine is extremely friendly, compassionate and I feel that our dogs and cat are getting the top care available. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. read more

this place was horrible, i brought my cat there years ago to be spayed, the cat was brought home and had problems, brought cat back and no one answered at office. i tried calling and no one answered, finally they got in touch with me, oh yeah, my cat by that point was dead! they offered to cremate the cat. oh get this, they wanted us to come back and still charge us for visits for our other cats. read more

Extremely wonderful and appropriately priced. I took my puppy here when she was very little and getting all her shots/spay/microchip. Their staff is extremely friendly and great at their jobs. read more

It was our first visit to Alpine. We took our two 12 week labradoodle puppies and were so pleased from the minute we walked in. The receptionist and every staff member we encountered were super super nice and accommodating. The veterinarians (we saw two) we're knowledgeable, attentive and took the time to make sure all of our questions and concerns were heard. Everyone made us feel comfortable. read more

My family has been going to Sarah for over 25 years, she is truly amazing. She takes such good care of our family pets, she is a wonderful veterinarian. read more

Sometimes it's a little difficult to actually get in to see Sara, but it's worth it. She's a great vet and is good with my demon cats.

Took my cats here for their shots an they did such a great job. My one cat was very angry an upset with the whole ordeal and they never once where anything but complete sweethearts. Even when she was trying to kill them they could only tell her how cute she was. I applaud their bravery an compassion. They where also very professional an intelligent. read more

Always kind and willing to talk to pet owners, always dedicated to doing what's best, honest and friendly. The Dr worked into the evening to save a pigeon I found on the street, and the whole staff has always been wonderful to work with throughout the years. Excellent pet care and conscientious business practices. read more

Dr. Puiggari and the staff at Alpine has been great. We've had a complicated internal medicine case that ultimately required a specialist, however the care (and ultimately the referral) we've received from Alpine has been excellent. Their prices have been reasonable, the expertise of the staff is great, and they've been compassionate, generous, and flexible. read more

I've been taking dogs here since 1995. Sara is a great vet who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for her services. She is so knowledgeable and caring...there are other great vets in town, but Sara has time and time again taken great care of my animal family members! read more

Warning! Under new management! Like many others I have taken my animals to Alpine vet for over twenty years. Unfortunately Sarah has left and my first visit with the new "vet" was a disaster. The man insulted me when I he didn't think I could hear him. Supplies that I have been buying for the past three years to treat my cats kidney failure are no longer available, now he wants me to bring her in every day so he can personally administer them, for a fee of course. No one even asked how the animal was doing. Sorry folks, the Alpine vet that we all grew up with is gone. The plants in the waiting room, the dandelions on the lawn (now the grass that you walk your sick animals through has been poisoned with weed killer) everything that made this place special is gone. I could live with all of that, things do change, but the insulting and arrogant manner of the new vet is just too much. I feel sorry for the employees and all of my fellow (former) Alpine vet customers. read more

I love all of the vets, front desk ladies and vet techs here. There is not a person working at this clinic that does not make my dog and myself feel awesome about coming here. They really care about your animal here, and your pocket book. It seems that every time I go in there the vet who I believe owns the place (Dr. Marcos) is trying to scam a deal for me! Always giving a free vaccine with the visit, or scheduling things so they will be as affordable as possible. It's awesome. He also really listens to you and cares about what your have to say about your pets health. For a while I thought my dog had asthma and people looked at me like I was crazy, but when I told Dr. Marcos he took me very seriously and discovered not asthma but an abnormally low heart rate and was able to test my dog for certain diseases and also give advice on what to do to monitor the condition. I think that every animal in Missoula deserves the loving care that this place offers.Bottom line: Don't be a fool and pay extra somewhere else, Alpine gives superb service for a fraction of the price. read more

I recently moved to the area and within two weeks needed to take my cat and one of my dogs in to the vet. Very easy to set up an appointment in short notice. Her office staff is top notch, very professional and friendly. I love this vet - she's kind, caring, thorough, and not pushy about extra services at all. I've definitely experienced the opposite - vets who use intimidation and scare tactics to get you to spend more on services. You won't find that here. You can't beat the prices for the care here, either - very affordable, and the lowest rate I've ever heard on dental care. read more

I switched my doggie's vet to Dr. Marcos Puiggari when I heard he bought Alpine Vet. I had used his services when he was working at the emergency vet clinic and found him to be kind, gentle and very knowledgeable. He really made my scared doggie feel more at ease. After several visits to Alpine I continue to be extremely pleased with him and his staff. I am a dog groomer and in my business I am often asked to refer a vet and I highly recommend Marcos. Many of my clients used Alpine when Sara was the vet and although I didn't know her, I heard many wonderful things about her. Needless to say, people were very distressed when she left and were leery of a new vet and changes that inevitably come with a new owner. Change is very hard when you have a great relationship with the person caring for your baby. Those who now have Marcos as their vet tell me they are extremely happy with him, his expertise and his gentle care of their pets. Highly, highly recommended by me and many of my clients. read more
