First, even though we completed extensive paperwork giving them instructions on how much to feed our dogs, these girls somehow thought it was acceptable to feed my 15lb shih tzu an entire cup of food TWICE a day. Of course, they ran out of food very fast seeing as he actually eats 1/4 cup twice a day. When he ran out of food, they began giving him the food they had on hand which resulted in explosive bloody diarrhea. Their solution? To lock him in his kennel for an entire day while waiting for us to come get him. By the time we got there him and all of his belongings were completely covered in bloody diarrhea. Their excuse was "he didn't feel good so we wanted him to be somewhere quiet". On top of this neglect, they also failed to properly give him his glaucoma eye drops, resulting in his eye pressure raising to THREE TIMES the safe range. Our other dog who was also being boarded there returned home covered head to toe in huge bug bites, which they tried to excuse as "an allergic reaction to shampoo". The severe lack of even basic dog care knowledge is RIDICULOUS. Do not leave your dogs with these people!

The employees were super nice, knowledgeable and reported back how he did. They took care to introduce him slowly to other small dogs and our puppy was returned to us clean & very tired from all the fun he had! If & when we're back in the area, we'll for sure let him play here again!

Other doggy daycare providers charge extra $$ for things like playing fetch with your dog one on one . You won't have to worry about that here! The last time I picked up one of my dogs from an overnight stay Edward had already washed and dried his bedding! That's the kind of service that keeps us coming back every week. The new owners that took over last year, (Josh and Daniel & their family) have made a lot of small changes that add up and make a big difference in the overall experience, one of those being something as small as providing toys for the dogs to play with and providing them with a kiddie pool to play in the water on hot days, which my big doggo LOVES! He comes home and sleeps for two days after each visit from all the playing he gets to do . It's more of a puppy playground now and less like just a concrete kennel. I am so glad that I discovered Pepper's Puppies 10+ years ago. My black labs aren't used to…read morekennels, so this is perfect for them. They always have so much fun at Pepper's Puppies. During the day they go for walks/hikes off leash. At night she allows them to sleep in her home, where ever they please. My pups get so excited as soon as I turn onto PP's lane. Even though they usually heel, soon as I open my car doors they run to Candance with joy. (I admit, they've hurt my feelings, because they didn't seem to care if I say good-bye to them... they're ready to have some fun!) I would never want to trust anyone else with my dogs. Candance has my complete confidence, is honest and has a true love for dogs. Thankfully, she does not board too many dogs at one time.
